I stopped in the Copper Still out of sheer intrigue while in the area for a family party. I frequent the Copper Still in Crestwood Illinois and absolutely love the place. The St. John version is certainly different than Crestwood but it is what it claims… a martini and cocktail bar. They offer a vast martini menu, very limited food and some craft beers. I didn’t eat, but I enjoyed the same delicious CD Vodka, I went with a pineapple martini of some sort.
I’m not sure what else you could ask for in a cocktail bar. The place is clean, quaint and the service is super friendly.

Sure, I’ll be the first! This local place isn’t your typical bar. They’re almost never open. Only at night. Who does that? Anyway, they do have a vast martini selection and a nominal beer tap selection. The bar area needs HELP. whoever initially laid out the bottles etc didn’t know what they were doing. NOT organized. And the night I was there, what I assume was a husband and wife team had cleaning products visible, dirty rags, near the taps, and you can see the sinks-​not under the serving bar like all other places. Maybe I’m being too critical of the looks and not the drinks. Bottom line. I’d go back!
