Double D’s Pizzeria

We were pleasantly surprised with this South County pizza place. Located south of St. Anthony’s hospital, Double D’s is in a small strip mall.
My only experience is with carry out. The pizza was St. Louis Style, crispy crust, gooey cheese, great toppings. We also tried the honey mustard wings. I wasn’t wild about the sauce but the wings were large and very meaty.
Inside the restaurant is clean, decently decorated with several tables that would accommodate large or small parties. I’m looking forward to trying Double D’s again.

Nice people, but the food was pretty much horrible. The Cheese used on the Pizza was like getting a mouth full of velveta soft cheese. They use a four cheese blend that is horrible. I ended up giving my Pizza away and even those people did not eat much of it. I ordered a Turkey sandwich as a replacement since I was still hungry. That was not very good either. So $ 50.00 in and not very excited about this place. It is family run with very nice people. The wings that I stole from my wife were good. I won’t eat the pizza here again. I don’t see myself returning unless I have too for a kids function.

My girlfriend and come here for pizza a lot. The customer service here us outstanding along with the staff. It’s the best tasting thin crust pizza in St. Louis. Yes better than Imo’s.

The pizza and the atmosphere are great. The owners (and their kids) work the dining room to make sure that everything is good. Nice beer selection and even the non-​pizza items are very good. Great place to take the team after the big game.

Double D’s Pizzeria is a perfect place to take the family. It is a cute, locally owned restaurant with local high school sports memorabilia decorating the walls, and a small arcade room that you can watch from the restaurant so you can let the kids have at it. The salads were generously portioned and very tasty. The thin-​crust pizza is great with fresh toppings, tasty sauce, and a nice blend of cheeses. They even have 4 Hands and Schlafly beer for those of us who don’t care for AB products. This will be a regular family-​night outing for us.

This has quickly become one of our favorite places. I am not from Stl originally and am not a fan of provel. The blend they use is not the same as provel but they also have mozzarella. The owner goes above and beyond and truly cares about his patrons being happy. The only one mistake was quickly fixed with a few extras thrown in for good measure. Please support this awesome local business.

Only 4 stars because we haven’t tried everything yet. Met the owners Tim & Jen. Super nice & the food is good. ‘Bob’s’ is a name of a pizza & you can really taste the toppings. Huge Deluxe salad. More than enough for 2 people. The fried pickels are hand breaded and are light & tasty.
We will return.

Good pizza, good cheese garlic bread. Great family owned and operated place. Really enjoyed it and will go back!

Called for delivery on a Saturday night at 7:30 pm to find out they weren’t delivering.

Great first time experience to this pizzeria. The crust and sauce was second to none and the awesome family oriented staff made service a pleasant experience. We enjoyed the sports feel of a pub without the overbearing crowdedness. Great place to invite sports friends to catch March Madness, Cardinals games or football. If you are traveling to the St. Louis area make sure to put this restaurant on your must eat list. The food will leave craving more and the staff will welcome you with open arms every time.

One of my favorite pizza restaurants. The pizza is simply amazing (for those who enjoy thin crust). The fried pickles are awesome as as well.
The wait staff is kind and is mostly run by the owner and his family, who are all very nice. Would recommend this restaurant to anybody!

Thanks to The Call newspaper, we have found a new favorite pizza place!
I stumbled across an article in The Call a few weekends ago about this family owned business marking their 1^st year. My husband and I were out and about on a Sunday and decided to stop by to see what all the goodness was about.
Its located on Tesson Ferry, past the hospital and in the strip mall before you see the big «Antique» sign on the left side of the road. Ample parking space and the establishment itself is decent size.
They have numerous specials on a daily basis. We decided to try their large pizza with bacon, cheese bread and drinks. They serve coke products by a fountain, as well as the option of purchasing a 2 liter if you plan on taking the pizza to go. Once we put our order in, one of the little ladies brought us all the necessities we’d need at our table. Our bread was brought out first, and instantly eaten as it was warm and hot. Our pizza was a good size, full strips of bacon and their cheese blended in real well.
They have a game room with several old fashioned games that you can play for a quarter, or at most 50 cents. If you’re with a group and send the kiddos back there, just look at one of the tv screens as there is a monitoring system that allows you to check on them while you’re still enjoying your time.

I have never experienced such fantastic customer service before! It was such a breath of fresh air to be treated so kindly in a food establishment. They even held the door for me as I walked out because my hands were full. This is definitely going to become our regular pizza place!

Double D’s is really good pizza! i have had it several times! I have never dined in though just carried out. I think it is great the give you extra cheese at no extra charge! The price is comparable. I always have a coupon!

I went here with my wife on a date since it was less than A mile from our place. The pizza is amazing if you like thin crust. Better than Imos, Cecil and stl pizza in my opinion. The wings are good not the best but better than mediocre. Price is okay for what we got. I will definitely be coming back for the pizza though.

Double Ds has great pizza! If you like thin crust you need to try it, very cheesy and delicious. I got a sausage pizza, wings, and cheese fries. All of it was great! Awesome atmosphere, family owned, give it a go if you’re in the mood for great stl pizza!

Ate at this place with great excitement last night. Pizza was ok, good sauce, fried pickles were decent.
The employees are what kills this place. After the meal… my son is enjoying the arcade… he puts in two quarters and the machine rips him off. I ask the guy at the counter who looks at it and says, «Well…don’t play that machine again.» My son is really bummed out about this. I ask, «C’mon, can you make this right for the kid… I’ve just spent $ 50 in here on dinner for my family.»
The dope simply says, «Sorry…play at your own risk.», and walks away. Another gal who works there hears all this and blithely walks by smiling.
I’ll never go back to a place that cares so little for it’s customers.
Think about this before going to this establishment.
