I learned about Expedite STL from a friend of mine who knew someone that had used their service. I looked at every furniture store in STL for a certain style/color of bookcase, and couldn’t find it. I found exactly what I was looking for on the Ikea website, but my item was too big to fit in my parents vehicle(they live by the Canton Ikea), and the shipping cost was absurd. The shipping cost from Expedite was cheaper than the cost of making an Ikea run of my own. I also receive their electronic newsletter and purchased an «extra» chair that they had brought home from their July trip… no shipping costs, just the price of the item and tax. They were prompt about responding to emails and had large window of time in which to come pick up the item. They even told me that if the chair was missing parts(not likely, but just to be on safe side), to let them know and they would make it right on their next Ikea visit. The best aspect to me is that pick up location is in South County, right off of I-55 and Reavis Barracks. I’m so used to having to drive to West County or Mid County for really specific services, like this, that it was nice to only have to drive a few miles to pick up my items.

What do you do when you are moving to St. Louis and have your heart(and pocketbook) set on Ikea? Thank goodness I found Expedite STL. All you need to do is create a shopping list online at Ikea. Give that list to Expedite STL and they will tell you their next shopping trip date and confirm the price per items and their delivery charge. It was so reasonable that I did not hesitate to schedule our items for their next trip to the Chicago Ikea. I could not believe that they front the monies for the whole trip. You can either pick up your items at their location or for $ 35 dollars they will deliver to you. Payment is upon delivery … that is it. Talk about super nice to deal with. They stayed in touch every step of the way with my order as I was coming from California. They called within a half hour of their arrival to deliver items. We purchased a bed, but they said that no item is too big or too small for their delivery. Also, if an item is damaged, they purchase multiples and can swap out a bad part. If that is not available, they will pick up, return it to Ikea and bring back another one. Also, if an item is not available, they will adjust the total and if you want leave that item on the list for their next trip. Great idea, great people … I wish all businesses were as pleasant and competent to deal with as this company.
