The Beerhouse is a moderately priced, casual sit town restaurant located inside the River City Casino complex. For those wanting something more than a burger, but not quite a buffet, or a steakhouse this is the perfect option. Seating inside is limited to the«inside» which is an elevated portion located near the bar or «outside» along the interior casino walkway. One downside is that since the casino allowed smoking that the smell will work its way over toThe Beerhouse. Entrees here are moderately prices and the staff has always been friendly, however the food is average.

Got ½ slab of ribs that looked rare, tasted done and manager assured me the were cooked for over 7 hours. It appears they sat in an unheated smoker then. I wouldn’t get them again. Beans & potatoe salad was just okay and also not that good. Review was two stars but lowered to one since they messaged me and asked for personal email and then never responded.

We came here as a close to home option for a birthday celebration. They have a very decent beer selection — most of the selections are bottles vs draft. I chose Blue Moon(draft). They offer different size draft beers which I found nice. We ordered an appz of onion rings. They really have their stuff together with the wait staff/table runners. You don’t wait long for your food! The onion rings came with a spicy ranch dip which was great with the onion rings. We did have to ask for a second cup. Unsure if that was because the dip was too good or if the serving was too small… maybe a bit of both! The onion rings were crisp, light on the breading(which I like) and the onion flavor came through nicely. For dinner my buddy ordered the Beef on Weck. It looked good. I did not have a taste though. the bun was large, and he did comment that it was a bit much but still great. He chose grilled asparagus for his side dish. I chose a new burger they have on the menu, the Ramen Burger. Its QUITEDIFFERENT! It comes with a ramen bun(you can not pick this burger up with your hands … its a knife and fork burger) I asked for it medium and it came out perfect. the burger had great flavor and the green onion asian slaw was great! I probably could have used a touch more of the slaw. It come with spicy Sriracha mayo. I asked for a cup on the side and I am glad I did. I thought it needed more! You can’t go wrong with Sriracha mayo. I thoroughly enjoyed this burger! I would get it again but this time I would not get fries with it. I think I would choose a grilled vegetable as I feel it needed something more crispy and fresh to compliment the flavors. Their fries were just ok. nothing to talk about really. The one draw back that I always forget about when going to the Beerhouse is that the casino allows smoking and you can smell it as soon as you walk in the door. And that bothers me some. The wait staff was very friendly and prompt on refills. Overall, I enjoy the Beerhouse!

Some friends asked if we wanted to go to the Casino and have some dinner while we were there. We had never been to this Casino, so we didn’t know what to expect. It was a Saturday night on a really warm end of Feb night, so the parking lot was packed — we had to circle around a couple of times to find a spot. Which led to an hour wait for a table at the restaurant. My friend talked to the hostess — but I think they gave him a pager, so we went into the Casino and had a couple of drinks at a bar while we were waiting. Once we got seated, service was quick and attentive. We ordered some pretzel sticks with cheese dip as an appetizer. No one at the table had any utensils when they came, so we reached over to another table and grabbed a set. The pretzels themselves were nice and warm and soft and had a great flavor, and the cheese was good as opposed to that flavorless yellow goop you get at some places. My only complaint was I’m guessing they rolled the pretzel sticks in butter or some kind of coating to get the salt to stick which made a coating on the pretzel sticks that you could actually feel. If they could find a way to correct that, they would have gone from pretty good to really awesome. As we were looking to decide what to get for dinner, my partner got pretty excited to tell me they had«Beef on Weck» on the menu. I was born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York — and in that part of New York state, a lot of restaurants have Beef on Weck. It’s basically a beef French dip sandwich, which is usually fresh cooked thinly sliced roast beef, topped with horseradish on a «kummelweck» roll. What makes a Beef on Weck the«on Weck» part is the roll — a large round roll topped with large kosher salt crystals and caraway seeds. Whenever anyone who is not from around that area hears you talk about a Beef on Weck — no one knows what you are talking about. I’ve NEVER seen one on a menu outside of around home — so I got one. When dinner came out — no one still had any utensils(even though I mention this twice — I consider this a very minor thing. Service was really good. Once we asked for some, they brought them right over. I only even bother mentioning things like this because I have a fantasy that someone who works at the places I review actually reads these, might find the comments helpful, and might correct the minor mistakes to kick their place up a notch.) The Beef on Weck was really good. The only critique I have from personal experience is, they need to use real horseradish on it. Instead, they served some kind of white horseradish sauce with it — that was not good. Luckily I tasted it first, and didn’t even put it on my sandwich. Without the horseradish, it made me feel like sandwich was missing something. Real horseradish would have knocked it out of the park, and I would go back to eat here just for a Beef on Weck when I was in the mood for one. The sandwich was served with a choice of side — and I got a standard side salad. Those couple of small changes I mentioned would have easily changed this from a 3 to a 4 star rating. It was all solidly good — but not great. One of my friends had ordered a pizza and I had a square of it and it was good. Which from me is a compliment because I’m picky about pizza(it’s that coming from New York thing again). All and all — if I was going to go to the casino and was going to eat there, I would definitely pick this place over the buffet(which I rated 1 star in another review). There are a couple of other places in the Casino to eat, but I haven’t been to any of the others.

Let me start by saying the food is great. I haven’t had a meal that I didn’t like. The portions are big, so take that in consideration when you order. The reason it doesn’t have a 4 to 5 star really is the service. I’m not sure if it is understaffed or what. I have been there all times of the evening, and it’s the same thing.

I’m not a huge fan of chain/corporate-run restaurants but this is ok for something of that ilk. We’ve eaten here a few times and it’s not usually hard to get a table but the night of a recent comedy show, they were pretty busy and quoted us a 30-min wait for a two-top. We saw a couple open spots at the bar instead and got prompt service there. Word of advice: The Beerhouse offers a better selection of alcohol here than they will have inside the event venue. The Beerhouse staff will serve you in a plastic cup if you request it and that can be taken into the event.(Besides, the venue bars are cash-only!)

New menu. Ordered the STEAKFRITES. The steak was excellent. The parmesan fries that come with it are loaded were herb butter which made them heavy and a little soggy. Not my favorite and if I had another chance would get the loaded baked potato instead. You’re also suppose to get bacon wrapped green beans but it came with apasagus, which was good. I also ordered a side Caesar salad. It was big and delicious. Enough for a small meal! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and service which adds a star to make it four. Will be back to try other items on the menu.

Me and my family have been coming here since the place opened! I was often taken back by other people’s reviews of their food not being very good. I loved their food from the get go and even with the menu change up a year or so ago I was pleased! However recently the service has gone down hill. Not sure what tonight’s issue was however I am not blind and can recognize a busy night when I see it. tables were open and people who were sat after had their food and to go boxes before we even had our food! It seemed like our waiter had totally given up on us too and just assumed we weren’t pleases so avoided us at all cost. The manager of course made everything better. That’s the only reason I’m giving two stars. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

When RC Casino was built a few years ago, we started going for the live music that they have in Judy’s Velvet Lounge on Friday and Saturday nights. We finally stopped and had dinner at the Beerhouse and it is a pretty decent place on our list of places we enjoy going on a regular basis now. Their menu isn’t huge but there’s something for everyone’s taste buds. If you’re a beer drinker, you will be in beer heaven as they have a ton to choose from. They can also satisfy the mix drinker’s heart as well — just tell them what you like and they’ll get it to you. You can make a reservation via OpenTable if its before 6pm so we did that just in case and were seated immediately. Our waiter was friendly and helpful and came and talked to us about everything down to the game on the tv. We ordered the pretzels with beer cheese as an appetizer and boy was it bigger than I expected. Enough for sharing with the group you’re with but so good to eat them all yourself! I then opted for chicken fingers and fries while my husband got the beerhouse burger. Both came with an overload of fries and were delicious and served in a timely manner. Prices are listed appropriately for the amount that you get with your order.

I was really pleased with the food here. I ordered chicken tikka. I don’t know how authentic it was but it had a great curry sauce and was exactly what I was hoping for. Beer selection looked extensive but they didn’t have the one beer husband wanted even though it was on the menu. We came back later for desert and had this 3 layered cake that was amazing. Prices aren’t too bad either.

This is a pretty decent place to grab a drink or some food within the River City Casino complex. It is located outside and adjacent to the gaming floor entrance and directly in front of you if you are walking in the entrance from the valet stand. The menu is a cross between gastropub type fare and a traditional American steakhouse. If you are a beer drinker, you are in for a treat as they have a massive selection to choose from, though regrettably not many are available on tap. We were seated immediately, and the wait staff here were very friendly and personable. Eating at casino restaurants is always a bit of a crap shoot(see what I did there?). They are normally either exceptionally good or pretty awful, with not much in between. Our food was out quickly and was surprisingly good! The haddock sandwich I had was fantastic, though it was«hanging off the plate» enormous and enough for 2 people. I went to grad school in Wisconsin, where Friday fish fry is an institution. This place can hold it’s own. I wish they had malt vinegar though, which really sets off fish in my humble opinion. Minor gripe overall. Let’s face it, if you are here gambling and having cocktails, you are probably are not going to be venturing out from the Casino property for food. Since the Casinos know this, and you are essentially at their mercy, some take advantage by price gouging you to death while offering only limited quality. That is not the case here. The food was very good, service rocked and the pricing was more than fair. As a parting side note, they also have some HOT waitresses, and who does not like random eye candy when dining?

We were very pleasantly surprised at how good The Beerhouse was, food & service. We took my parents on Mother’s Day for that and their 35th wedding anniversary. They didn’t have any clue what we had in store for them and we didn’t either to be honest. We figured we would eat and hand them both $ 20 to gamble, short and sweet-that’s now what happened, thankfully! We let them chose which restaurant they wanted to eat at inside River City Casino. After viewing all the menus they chose The Beerhouse; partially because it was one of the less expensive of the choices(even tho they could have chosen whatever they wanted). I was a bit hesitant as there wasn’t a large selection of food on the menu. We waited about 10mins to be seated and we were seated inside at a high top table for four by the bar, right next to the TV’s for the Cardinals game for my mom. The atmosphere is awesome. The whole place inside has amazing woodwork and beer steins hanging all over. We were really happy we got to sit inside rather than«on the patio» in the Casio walkway. The waitress was prompt and very nice. She explained specials, the beer selection(which was huge) and they had a good selection of liquor(top shelf and rail). We started off with an Angry Orchard for hubs and I, Sam Adams for dad and margarita for mom. She gave us a good amount of time to decide on food. I had the pork steak, baked potato & baked beans. Hubs had the fried fish sandwich & fries, dad had pastrami & fries and mom had roast beef & fries. It was all delicious. We all snarfed and was very happy it was so good. Afterwards we were presented with the dessert menu, while we didn’t have any room, we ordered anyway. Mom & pop went out for a break and hubs & I were served dessert. We anxiously waited for their return because the desserts looked amazing! We ordered the Warm Gooey Butter Cake & Cheesecake Brownie for the four of us to share. Both were very good, but the St. Louis favorite of Gooey Butter got pushed to the side for the most part. The brownie was not just a brownie, it was heaven!!! It was a brownie layer on bottom, cheesecake in the middle, chocolate mousse on top with whip cream and chocolate shavings. So rich, but sooooo good!!! We left stuffed 1.5 hours later. Our tab was $ 70 and we left her a $ 30 tip and parents left her $ 20 cash because she was so attentive. We almost were too full to gamble, but we got a win in! ;) We will go back and we would recommend this place to anyone wanting to hang out at the casino afterwards.

The ambiance is romantic and intimate, perfect for a special date night. The complimentary whipped mushroom truffle butter and bread is to die for! The steaks are prepared to perfection. I go for dinner every time we are at River City. Highly recommended!

Wings are tasty. Several sauce options. Crispy though a little dry. Potato skins are great. They use pulled pork and have a generous side of sour cream. Best app. Pretzel and cheese is good. Pretzel is surprisingly very tasty. Cheese is good too but cools quickly. The house salad is average. The dressing is watery and a lot if the lettuce had brown spots. The Reuben was tasty. Good corned beef. I wish there was more thousand island dressing. Sitting on the outside is great for people watching but seems a bit more smoky. Service was hit and miss. Very friendly. Came back often. Beer took awhile to come out. The worst part was after the 3 apps came out, the entrees came out within a minute or two. I would’ve expected them to hold the entrees until the apps were out at least 5 minutes. Apps were ordered soon after sitting down and before the entrees.

I would give them 5 stars, but it’s SO smokey from the casino down the hall. There’s no smoking inside the restaurant, but there’s no filtration to make the air clean inside. They have an awesome selection of beer(I mean it IS called a Beerhouse) but since you’re in Anheuser-Busch country. I was pleased to see Stone Brewing Company and Founders! YAY! I did have the ribs here and they were good. They only come with the dry rub on them and then a side of sauce. I kinda wish they would have put the sauce on before plating.

Now just called The Beerhouse. Beer selection — GREAT. I did a sampler which gave me 4−3oz samples of draft beer — my choice. Same price as one 12 oz beer — fun to do !! Ordered the Betrunken Chicken which is sauteed chicken breast with beer-braised onions and mushrooms over a barley pilaf and amber woodchuck sauce. Ordered a side of broccoli which was steamed to perfection. EXCELLENT !! Did not see waitresses dressed in German attire(thank goodness). We were there on a Friday night and it was a manageable crowd. Main drawback was too much NOISE. Had to listen to loud speaker announce winners of some contest held down in the Casino. If I cared, I would be in the Casino. After the contest, they put the Sports Channel on the loud speaker. I had to yell across the table to my friends — Did not see anyone watching AND listening to what was on the TV. ANNOYING. Told the manager, but nothing changed.

Even more convenient with the new parking garage attached to River City Casino and consistently great food and service! I’m updating from 4 to 5 stars. I highly, highly recommend the beer cheese soup, which comes in a sizeable portion with its hot, fresh pretzel and the pulled pork sandwich with your choice of sides. First time, I took home ½ my soup, my entire side salad, which was huge, and couldn’t quite finish my pulled pork. This last time, I still could only finish ½ the soup, I split the pulled pork, and still couldn’t touch the fries that came as a side. I’m told the bowl of soup with ½ sandwich special comes with the same size soup. I think I could get that and split and still feel stuffed. What a great value for all you get and how incredibly tasty it is! See the pictures of the beer cheese soup.

Nope — just nope. The best part about this place is the extensive beer menu. That’s it for the pros. Now the cons… The food — meh. Service — definitely below par. One of the individuals in our party actually received cold food — bbq ribs to be exact. The food/service seemed to take forever, and it wasn’t what I would consider very busy at all. The quality of the food was… meh — not as great as the price would insinuate. The staff was friendly and can’t put all of the blame on them as far as poor service goes. There were a handful of them bringing us this, that, and the other so perhaps there was confusion on who is responsible for what. Who knows? That being said — I might pop back in at some point to have a beer if I happen to be gambling at River City, but it is very doubtful I would actually dine here again.
