This was the second stop on our tasting tour after the winery. They have a nice beer selection and between the two of us, we tried everything except the stout. I’m not usually big on IPAs and porters, so the St. Michaels ale, Magic hefeweizen, and the Rye Not were my beers of choice. I originally ordered the Back Creek Blonde but ended up trading my bf for the Rye Not!

Great place for beer! This place aways has great beers in Tap. The staff is excellent. Very knowledgable about the beer. Can answer every question and won’t lead you wrong on a beer of your liking. Atmosphere is great. And some«eye candy» too. A must try in St Michael’s!

Eastern shore was the only place to show us that not everyone in Easton/St Michaels were unfriendly. After a handful of extremely unwelcoming and unfriendly service from other businesses we visited, it was a breath of fresh air to speak to the bartender and another local patron who actually took the time to engage in conversation with us. We each sampled the flights… 5 of their beers. The duck duck goose porter was a big hit! Looks like it would be much heavier than it is… But you can taste the notes of chocolate and coffee in a light but delicious beer. At only 10 $ a flight it’s a bargain for this cute microbrewery. You can tell this place gets filled on weekends. We’re glad we stopped by.

Nice little brewery with some tasty IPA’s. They had live music & air hockey table which we enjoyed. Really fun time. Cool pint glasses & swag as well for purchase.

The atmosphere of this brewery is one a kind! My boyfriend and I actually had no idea that this place existed until we literally stumbled upon after stopping by the winery and distillery. We were very excited to go in and try their selection, as we quite enjoy a good beer. When we walked in there was a not a seat in site, and even quite a few people were standing. While waiting for our flight to be poured, a table happened to open and I quickly jumped on it. At this time I ran into a group of 4(two couples) who were also looking for a table. We ended up sharing our table with them, and couldn’t have had a better time in doing so. The whole brewery seemed to have this same vibe of strangers meeting strangers and having a good time doing so. Our flight was perfect! It cost $ 10 for five beers, and they were the first five off the beer list. Luckily, there were two ale type beers(my favorite), two IPA type beers(my boyfriend’s favorite), and one dark beer that we both enjoyed. After enjoying the flight, we got a pint of the dark beer to enjoy that only cost $ 5. Although the pints of beer seemed practical and affordable, the same cannot be said for the growlers. My boyfriend considered getting one, but once having looked at the prices of the growlers, he opted otherwise. We arrived to the bar around 5:15 p. m and had just missed the band that plays on Saturday afternoons. However, I am kind of glad that we missed that experience because I’m not quite sure where they would have fit into that small space and how I would have been able to hear myself think. Overall, the brewery was quaint, affordable, and well worth the experience.

Small brewery, located right next to the winery. We made our rounds from the distillery to the winery and finished at the brewery last weekend… after the Oyster Festival. The bar was rather small and crowded with a lot of drunk people on a Saturday afternoon. They also had a band taking up a good portion of one side of the room. They were extremely loud, and we had to scream at each other to have a conversation. They had 8 of their own beers on tap. We wanted to get a flight/tasting but the bartender told us that they don’t serve flights when there is live music. I had the Knot So Pale(Extra Pale Ale) that was pretty hoppy. My friend had the Belgian Tripel, that was delicious and high ABV. We left after only one beer, because it was too crowded and loud, however I would suggest going there over the winery! I was delighted to see that this is a dog friendly bar but I didn’t enjoy the dirty, old bathroom.

I love craft beer and LOVE establishments like this– where the owner takes half of the warehouse he brews in and turns it into a bar of sorts. The beer is a range. I liked the IPA and the brown, but there were a few lambics that tasted and looked like spicy swamp water. I rate this place high for the excellent staff, friendly, hilarious and outgoing. It’s a great place to meet friends for a chat and a beer(choose carefully!). I’d definitely go again!

Lovely people and great beer, what more can you ask for. Stopped by in the afternoon and tried the sampler… $ 12 for six 4 oz samples and they were all good. It was fun and relaxing place to laid back and enjoy the beer. Highly recommended.

I’m a lover of craft breweries. Eastern Shore offers a good range of styles so there’s surely something to suit everyone’s tastes. When we visited, there was live music which was pretty cool, but the downside is that they do not offer flights during live music. Bummer. Major bummer. We settled on our pints of choice, and enjoyed them nonetheless. We decided to take home a growler, and despite not getting to try flights, fortunately the server allowed us to sample two more beers to help us decide which beer to fill our growler with. There’s plenty of sitting and standing room. It was packed when we went, so nowhere to sit, but we were ok standing as there was plenty of room. The offer a good selection of snacks and apps to nosh on while you sip.

Mellow décor, mellow mascot dog that greets all the customers, mellow bartender, and mellow glow after our flight of beers($ 10 for 5, or individual samples for $ 2). Requisite games to play: Trivial Pursuit, darts, and foosball. Seating runs from comfy, Victorian-style couches, to the standard bar, to high-top tables with bar height stools. Bartender took us for a mini-tour of the metal vats in brewing room & described how signature beers are created. Nice place to go that is far better than walking in and out of all of St. Michael’s tourist shops.

We stopped in to Eastern Shore Brewery for a flight of beers and a break from the oppressive heat outside. While the beer surpassed expectations and the live music was a pleasant surprise, it would’ve been nice if the place had air conditioning. Bonus points for being dog friendly!

I’m not the biggest beer afficionado but this brewery was a fun afternoon activity on our vacay to St. Michaels. My boyfriend and I decided to go for the full beer flight, which worked because our different tastes split down the middle. He enjoyed the Knot so Pale Ale, and the other hoppier beers. I liked drinking the St. Michael’s Ale, the Back Creek Blonde, and El Pepe. We both loved the Duck Duck Goose Porter and its coffee aftertaste. The only one we were both not a fan of was the Magic Hefeweizen, which kind of had a clam juice aftertaste. The service was nice and personable and the brewery was pretty empty so we got to try out all the bar games. It was great getting our darts and foosball on without paying extra!

Great brewery in downtown St. michaels. We shared the 6 beer flight for $ 12. We liked all the beers but the Pepe. The IPAs were amazing. The décor is rustic and the staff friendly.

It’s closed for renovations until feb 7? Please note bc I had no idea and drove from dc. :(. But I grabbed a great duck duck goose porter up the street at the blackthorn pub. What an amazing little town. I will def come back to do the full tour. Hope to meet the brewer!

3.5 stars I’ve been to this adorable little brewery twice and enjoyed myself quite a bit both times. The place is a good size, which makes sense considering that they do some of the production on site, and the tasting room is set up to be very comfortable, with a bar as well as couches and tables where people can enjoy their drinks. It has a rustic charm to it, from the hunting décor to the employees. The service is extremely friendly and the folks we met there were all fun to be around. Seems like a nice local spot to hang out. A few things about the Eastern Shore Brewing business are a little weird, which brought down my rating slightly. The hours seem odd for a place that serves alcohol, as they are only open from 12−6pm most days. If I were local and able to go more often, I feel like that would be a bit of a deterrent, since you can’t really hang out in the evenings after normal work hours and actually enjoy the atmosphere. It seems as a result to cater exclusively to tourists, which leaves them with a lot of untapped potential. It’s really nice to see a local brewery with a tasting room. The selection of beers has its pluses and minuses. On the one hand, the beers are great quality and they rotate them regularly, so you’re not always getting the same few options over and over again. That being said, they only have five beers available at a time. The best thing to do when visiting is to get the tasting board, which offers all five beers in relatively sizable servings for only $ 10. I did not like any of the beers they were offering the second time around(nothing against their beers, they were just not any of the types of beer that I enjoy), so we just shared one together. He liked many of them, and I was able to enjoy a few on my previous visit as well as a pint of my favorite one. They offer some interesting bar snacks for purchase, too. Overall, a fun place to hang out that could stand to undergo a few tweeks. I would gladly return.

Awesome little brewery in St. Michaels. I’m not sure if they brew the beer on site, or bring it by. Very little information available, but lucky for us, they had lots of beers. A woman working behind the bar was singing and dancing which instantly lifted our spirits. We got the sampler, as my boyfriend and i have the tendency to split beers perfectly down the middle as our tastes are quite literally opposite. I fell for the Magic Hefe and the Porter. He preferred the Pale Ale and the Knot so Pale Ale. We split the Blonde. That’s where our tastes collide. The place was layed out very lovely. It was nice and dark and cool– a great escape from the glaring sun outside. It was outfitted to look like a hunting den. While I appreciated the motif, I’m a much bigger fan of animals in their alive-state. It was kind of a bummer. Great little spot to swing by for a pint though. Very much enjoyed!

I am definitely used to going into bars where music is playing loud, but it was so loud in here that I had to practically scream at my dad, who was sitting right next to me. The beer was pretty good, but not great. The tastings were very affordable, I think a flight of 5 tasters for was $ 10. Would definitely return as an activity while in St. Michael’s. I would be very weary of how loud the music was though, because the beer itself is not enough to bring me back.
