Best food Truck in MN. The George Michael roast Beef sliders were amazing! Fresh bun and slow cooked roast beef with a beer cheese sauce. Its so good and when you find the truck, it’s a great treat.

Its rare that I will give 5-stars for something. Very rare. But when it comes to food trucks, I find it hard to not give an inflated score. Whats not to love? Food on the go!!! Freaking A, its awesome. So I enjoyed their pork sliders, tots, and a bite of a burger while at 612 brewery. Their prices were absurdly cheap for what we got, the flavors were great, and their staff(of 2) were very nice and accomodating. When back in the Twin Cities, I may hunt them down again.

A food truck worth it’s weight in gravy! Bloomy’s made it’s entry in to the Twin Cities food scene the summer of 2012. What a fantastic addition it is. They have somehow discovered the secret ‘mojo of the meat” and each day bring amazingly tender and tasty roast sirloin to the streets of our cities. The classic«Commercial» is where both my stomach and heart go each time I approach the window. It is a complete meal in one beautiful stack. The rich, flavorful gravy with the smooth mashed potatoes plus a slice of bread and a mound of beef… I will say it is the only commercial I don’t fast forward through! Everything is worth trying on the menu, even their Cole Slaw is amazing. One visit isn’t enough… well one time is all it takes to get hooked. Roast On Bloomy’s!

My buddy and I were on our biweekly new restaurant trip in the cities. I had read a review of the Bloomy’s truck and had to give it a try. It was parked on Marquette in the waning fall days of 2012 and probably won’t be there very much longer because it is getting cold in the mighty north. The menu was large, but I went with the classic roast beef. It was 5 bucks. Solid lunch price. I should have got the Philly Cheese Steak like my friend, because it came on a ciabatta roll, and looked like it was worth the extra three bucks. He still gave it a 3 star, he is from Philly, so a cheese steak might be tough to match the home of the best sandwich in America(I had one from Philly about a month ago, and it was AMAZING!) I digress. We brought it to our sit down spot and it looked good. I added a nice glob of homemade horsey sauce(By far the best part of the sandwich) and then some of the BBQ sauce. The bun was not overly buttered, which was a unique touch in restaurant food. Perfectly toasted. the only thing was that the slices of meat were a little too fatty for my taste. The meaty part did taste pretty high quality, but the fat made it super chewy to take down. They put a nice amount of meat on there and it took about 7 minutes from ordering to getting our food. I don’t think I will go back here, but I am really happy I tried it!

For a first visit eating off of a food truck; it wasn’t bad. Out of all the food trucks down by the Capitol area, this one had the shortest of the lines, best prices and most appealing menu. Ordered the classic which is a simple roast beef sandwich on a lightly toasted bun. The roast beef was pretty good, but a little bland and not much flavor. Glad they had horseradish sauce. For only $ 5 it was a nice alternative. Excellent customer service. Gal taking the orders and guy calling the names and delivering the goods were very nice and very efficient which I appreciated over a busy lunch hour. Perhaps I’ll try some of their other sides and sandwiches and bump my rating up a notch. For now, my experience with the food part was just ok.

I was feeling a bit crummy and down in the dumps when I came here. I just wanted some comforting, hearty, artery clogging good ol american styled food. Bloomy’s hit the spot and then some. I got the commercial which is an open faced sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy with corn. Mmmmmmmm. So they put a piece of white bread down, then slap on a hearty helping of thinly sliced, perfectly hot pink roast beef topped off with some delicious thick brown gravy. Pair that with corn and hand mashed(read: slightly chunky with bits of potato skin mixed in) potatoes and how can you possibly go wrong? For 9 bucks this felt like a steal. It really was presented and tasted like something my mom would make. The beef was outstanding. If it weren’t for the bits of fat that are always tough to cut through I could’ve sliced this beef with the plastic fork I was eating it with… I did end up having to use a knife with minimal pressure. It was soooooo tender. They tell you the meat is local and organic but once you put in your mouth you know they aren’t lying. It was seasoned perfectly too. The garlic, salt and pepper accented the meat rather than masking it. It was beefy deliciousness. The mashed potatoes made me so happy. I hate potatoes that have been mashed into silky smooth pureed oblivion. I like some chunks in my potatoes and Bloomy’s delivered. The corn was nothing special but I’m guessing that’s more because it’s not quite corn season more than a lack of care. This truck is pretty traditional so I think there are few other as traditional, tasty and crowd pleasing veggies to choose from. The only thing that takes them down 1 star is the gravy. It was super tasty and had the perfect gravy texture but the salt level was on the high side. They could knock it down a notch or two. I also wish they had thrown one more scoop of gravy on the beef. The bread soaked up a lot of it and despite the beef being tender and juicy I would’ve liked more. next time I know to ask. While I’m still a devotee of WSK and the other less traditional trucks this will def feature in my regular truck rotation.

Of all the new food trucks this season, Bloomy’s Roast Beef is my personal favorite. Their roast beef is slow roasted and tender. It is what roast beef should be, not like Arby’s. I have tried their classic roast beef with provolone, the roast beef with au jus, and recently the longhorn. I have yet to find a sandwich that I did not like. I like to get my sandwiches with a side of tots. Service is great. I usually get to the truck when it opens so I have no problems with waiting for a long time. I certainly will be frequenting Bloomy’s as often as I do with my other favorite food trucks.

Decided to grab lunch at a food truck today and found Bloomy’s on Marquette(right in front of the Wellsfargo Tower). The line was long, so I thought it had to be good, right?! The menu is simple, you can get a classic roast beef(bacon, cheese, etc is $ 1) or get a specialty item(French Dip, Not-so-Philly, etc). I voted for the classic since it was my first time at this truck. I got the Classic Roast Beef(¼ lb) plain with a side of fries($ 2). The classic was good all on it’s own. The roast beef had plenty of flavor and the bun was toasted(and soft on the inside with onion baked in). The fries were freshly cooked and lightly salted. For $ 6.50, it was a good lunch and something that is definitely filling. The wait was long(wait to order then wait for food, around 10 mins); it was the lunch hour, but people expect to get-in/out fast. Overall, a good stop for lunch.

I’ve been waiting for this new truck to hit the streets and today was the launch in Eden Prairie. The longhorn roast beef sandwich was to die for! I will be following the beef.
