Roxy Cleaners

My boss is SUPER picky about where his and his wife’s clothing are cleaned, so when he said take everything over to Roxy Cleaners that’s exactly where I went.
The man who took care of the dry cleaning was super nice. He couldn’t find my bosses info, so just reset up information for them. Will update this review as soon as we pick up the items later this week.
*** also, they have same day turn around if you can get items into them in the morning before 11 or 12noon.

Better price than Don’s leather cleaning for Ugg boots (which they send to Don’s to get cleaned anyhow). Save yourself $ 5 a pair and get them cleaned here — better service, better price — may start going here for all my dry cleaning, even though it is a couple more miles to travel.

Roxy has a lot going for it – very convenient location right on the corner. Drive up service. And unlike most cleaners, they are open early and late for those of us who work too much. Oh, and there’s same-​day service if you need such a thing. But I have to say I wasn’t super impressed. My clothes came back fine … so the actual dry cleaning part is fine. Prices were high to too high. Works out to something like $ 4-​$ 7 per item, which is just too high for this city girl who is used to 99-​cent shirts and such.
And as far as customer service, my experience was not that great. When I dropped my clothes off, they had to put me into the computer since I was a new customer. This was a slow process that involved me shouting all of my personal information to the kid entering it in the computer. Then they printed me a receipt on an old-​school dot matrix printer. On the pickup end, I stood up front for a few minutes before I even saw an employee and then the kid who was helping me (who was for the record a very nice kid) had trouble with the credit card machine and wound up running my card like four times before the transaction went through. Combine that with the price and I’m not sure we’ll be back.

I stopped going here a while back. I had to come back multiple times for one order that ehy couldn’t find for weeks. Then on another order they lost one of my shirts. I have called about it four times to try to get reimbursed. Every time they say they will look into it and call me back but they never do. I finally gave up and have been using Midway Cleaners, which is much better. Avoid this place it is a rip-​off.

My first experience with this place was a few years ago when I went to them with my freshly washed delicate cotton blouse in hand, asking them if they’d be able to get the wrinkles out (so delicate was the fabric that I feared melting or making it «shiny»). They said they would «blow it out» and I could return the next day to pick up. When I did, they would not charge me.
Like many people, I don’t forget kindness extended to me.
That’s why I called them last week asking whether their Tuesday Special for Winter Jacket cleaning included «winter coats», and also whether they could remove candle wax from fabric. Yes was their answer to both questions.
So that is where I walked to bring my garments this passed Tuesday. I picked up my items on Thursday and they were spic and span clean and very nicely «packaged» for transport home.
It did not appear to me that the cost of cleaning my coat was «reduced» so I asked about that. The man agreed that the cost had not yet been reduced by 20% and he promptly adjusted the bill.
I am very happy with the friendly service and the quality of their work and I will return the next time I need some dry cleaning done. Even though another dry cleaner is right up the street from me, it’s well worth walking the 5 or 6 blocks to get to Roxy Cleaners.

It’s a dry cleaner, what else can I say. They get the job done on time. I have never had a problem. I have come here occasionally over the past 6 years.
This last time, I brought a wool sweater there. There was some red fuzz on it from the red scarf I wear with it. The cashier took the extra time to lint roll it and remove the fuzz. Overall I was satisfied with the service.

I’ve been frequenting this drycleaners for at least 5 yrs. My drycleaning is always ready on time, and perfect.
Sometimes one has to wait, if there isn’t enough staff, especially when it’s near closing time, or at the start of the day. So definitely try to not be in a rush when picking up or dropping off your drycleaning.
