I had read about Art Expo in one of the magazines that I requested from the Chamber of Commerce prior to flying down. I was excited to spend a little time on Corey street.
Unfortunately, I was not all that impressed with Art Expo. Many of the items they carried in the store I have seen in other areas of the country (Maine) at other art dealers. I was hoping to find more of a collection of local artists’ work, but it seemed to be much of what I have experienced in other areas.

Great gallery — local owner, has been in the business for many, many years. Wonderful, high quality framing work! Great art and jewelry as well. Every time I visit St. Pete Beach, I stop by — she has new stuff in all the time. Great place to buy presents for the holidays.

Great gallery on Corey Avenue featuring local artists. We were on Corey Ave. for the Sunday Market (
) and were browsing the stores as well as the stalls. We met the owner, Yvonne, who told us she’s been here since 1978. She has a good variety of items including paintings, sculpture, glass, pottery, and jewelry. The Gallery also hosts four to five openings a year that take place between the months of November and April. Times and dates are listed on the website.
If you are on Corey Avenue, Art Expo is definitely worth a look.
PS. In addition to regular hours, the gallery can also be visited by appointment.
