They have the BEST crab burgers & fish spread EVER!!! This place is phenomenal!!! My husband and I have come to this restaurant many times, and we are never disappointed. The staff is very down to earth, and the food makes it hard not to come back! It’s a very laid back spot, and it is walking distance from the beach which makes this place a true gem! This place is definitely worth coming to!!! I believe they also deliver to hotels on the beach strip in the area!

I came to this restaurant a couple months ago while on a beach retreat with the USF Navigators, and while everyone else headed back toward campus to go to some mediocre mexican fast-food restaurant, my friend and I were able to enjoy this great beachy restaurant a block away from the equally great hotel we stayed at, the Postcard Inn. My friend said her burger was great and I ended up getting a chili cheese dog which was also delicious. I hope to go back soon to try a burger, but if you get the chance to stay in St. Pete beach or live in the area, this is the go-to restaurant to fix a burger craving. Also, the waitress was really friendly and super attentive, really hard to find that these days. Don’t miss this burger haven.

Wow… maybe I went on a good day but our party of 5 actually had a great experience here, mostly in part to the most phenomenal and attentive waitress I’ve ever had. This place was really laid back and we sat ourselves. They even put up with us rearranging ourselves around a 7 top even though there were only 4.5 of us, when most places would have asked us to sit at a smaller table. The waitress brought a highchair out for my toddler and sanitized it in front of me, which was really sweet. During the course of the meal, she also brought out crackers and grapes for my little guy to keep him entertained while we waited for food, which if you have kids, you know this is a major lifesavor! All four of us ordered burgers and they were cooked perfectly. One of us ordered the wings and they were drenched and delicious. I also ordered the coconut shrimp, which were good. We were sitting close to the soda machine and she said to go ahead and help ourselves to refills anytime we wanted, which I thought was nice. What else can I say except that we all walked out of there full and happy, with no complaints.

went in here because i heard they had pierogies. Unfortunately they were deep fried, Fortunately everything deep fried tastes good. So though they were different they were still pretty good. They also have a man vs food kind of giant burger challenge there that’s pretty cool. They also feature $ 2 beers and import beer of the months for cheap. The hot wings didn’t have too much meat on them and the sauce was dry, they tasted alright. I’d give the place another shot.

I went to Beach Buns and Burgers in hopes that Cathy, the first reviewer, had happened to go in on a bad day because I, like her, am a local and I would rather support the locally owned businesses rather than the franchises. Unfortunately we never got any service or food to review. My eating buddy and I stood at the front of the restaurant for a few minutes, unsure if we were to seat ourselves or if someone would escort us to a table. No one bothered to tell us what to do so we sat ourselves. After 10 minutes of watching the waitresses walk by and even having one look at us three times without doing anything, we walked out. The owner was too busy talking on his cell phone to notice any of this. Had they been super-busy it would have been different, but only about three-fourths of the tables were occupied.

As a local, I wanted to like this place. I’m not fussy; it SHOULD have been easy. This place, though, is a clip joint designed to milk every last penny out of tourists and give them little in return. That’s not how we do on St. Pete Beach! Avoid at all costs! The rare burger was charred outside and gloppy and gooey inside; even the waitress noticed. It was also, if taste is an indication, not a high grade meat– very fatty and processed. The owner is unreceptive to gentle complaints about service or food(gets very defensive and I really was trying to be nice and helpful; I want to see local businesses thrive), hence this review. Save your money, tourists, and go to the bar behind the BonAir down the street. I think it’s called Bill’s Sandbar. The burgers are better there(and no, I don’t work there.) Or go anywhere else, really, because it can’t be worse.
