I love this place. It is well kept with a very nice garden area in the center. The pool area is also very nice with lots of seating. The eat part is that it’s right on the beach. It is family owned and cheap which makes it a perfect place to stay.

I stayed here with my 14 month old, so I was hoping for very clean, family friendly, QUIET, and great service. I received all of these(the unit was spotless and I couldn’t hear my neighbors!) in addition to an amazing location and a good price. One of the perks of staying at a small resort is that the beach front and pool area were not crowded and the owners were present, taking personal care of guests and their place. I’ve never stayed at a place with such friendly guests. I found out most had been coming for years, which is just another sign of a quality place. I enjoyed the view from the top of their large, multi-level deck and saw many guests enjoying the grill and eating area next to the pool. My only disappoints were: the wireless kept disconnecting so it was hard to Skype with my husband, they don’t recycle, and the very heavy picture tube TV was on an old, wobbly stand that was way too narrow for the TV base. I set the TV on the floor so it couldn’t fall on my son if he touched it. I’m confident, had I asked, they would have removed the TV. I am surprised with the amount of families that stay here, though, they don’t find this a safety issue. Overall, it was truly lovely experience! I recommend this place and hope to stay here again.

There are four reasons you’d stay here; it’s a small family owned and operated business, it’s inexpensive compared to other beachfront options, the rooms are clean, and much of the year they will take one night bookings while many other hotels on the beach will not. That’s about it for the positives. It is a VERY dated hotel so if you like fresh and new, look at the 2014-opened Hotel Zamora a hundred yards down Gulf Blvd, however it is not beachfront, so that’s its huge problem. The rooms here you can tell have seen some better years with patches and paint easily spotted on the walls. The appliances in the kitchenette are very old but perfectly functional if you want to enjoy a week on the beach without the expense of going to restaurants for every meal. If you’re wanting to catch a football game on TV, better to visit a bar because the rooms still have old school tube televisions. The front desk is not staffed 24×7, so there are restrictions on check in and check out times to keep in mind. My only real complaint about this place is security. The room I stayed in had broken locks on at least two of the windows making it impossible to lock them. The door locks still use traditional keys, so who knows if someone has copied yours in the past. The rooms on the south side of the property(not sure about the north side) have a sidewalk area and second door on that back side exiting from the bedroom; it would be easy for someone to break into the room from that site without it being very obvious. So if you have some true valuables, you probably won’t feel comfortable leaving them in the room. I’m not sure if the front desk has some more secure method of storing items for guests.

I’ve stayed here the last 3 years… old motel turned into longer term style rooms. Each has at least a living room dining area and kitchenette with full size fridge. There are larger suites as well. Right on the beach… walking distance to various places to eat. Bedding is like a days inn… but…it’s clean and comfortable and very affordable!
