food is good and well priced. drink special are great the only down fall to the outside bar is the outside bands take longer to set up and break down then they play and the house music at the bar inside bar is awesome but sometimes you have to listen to some 80s dirt rock shit that does not jive with the beach atmosphere

I’ve been here a few times for the raw oysters and a beer. I definitely recommend the oysters. Today, after a beach day with my sisters, I recommended we go eat at PJ’s since the oysters are good, so the rest must be too! Not quite. I ordered the blackened shrimp. They were clumped with spices and really oily. I had to dab them off on napkins. Not good. My sisters got the crab stuffed flounder. It was flavorless and the crab stuffing was mainly stuffing and not crab. The service is good though! Our waitress was really attentive. However, what keeps me coming back to a restaurant is mainly the food and I won’t be back unless I just want some raw oysters.

Environment was fun and very upbeat… Lots to occupy you eyes and ears. Delicious grouper and the tuna app was very good. Service was fast and thorough(we came with 19 people: 8 adults and 11 kids)

We always get the stone crab when in season. Delicious and at a reasonable price. They also have a great selection of beers.

Went there on June 4 and had the stuffed flounder. It was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Shrimp, scallops, oysters were good to. The had a nice salad, broccoli, fries and slaw. All money stapled on the wall goes to charity every year. There is a good kid menu. Drinks were reasonable. Service good.

This place has a few bar games outside and a statue of The Blues Brothers to take pictures with. If you’re in the mood for seafood or Rum cakes, come here! You won’t be disappointed

Meaty ousters and clam strips. The fried combo is AMAZING! Great homemade cocktail and tarter sauce. Forget the places right on the water, come to PJ’s.

We had arguably the best dinner of the whole vacation tonight. PJ’s gets it right on food quality, & exceptional but not fussy service(great job Brian!) Family friendly, good for groups, and excellent value. We left very satisfied and wish we had discovered this place sooner in the trip! If you’re looking for a subpar but more expensive seafood resto with fussy service and white linens — this isn’t for you. Don’t miss out by being bougie, this place is awesome.

Staying near here for spring break and wanted to try oysters for the first time. Tried the Chicago style and they were yummy and great for a first timer. Split the scallops(with garlic butter sauce), blackened grouper and a crab cake as our meal. The flavor of the scallops was phenomenal, the spicey finish on the grouper did not disappoint, and the sauce with the crab cakes was just right. Also a fun and laid back atmosphere, with friendly/helpful staff.

Great portions. Great food. The bartender was from my hometown which was cool. Had a great time here, without even drinking much!!! Loved it!

Tuna salad sandwich is delicious and served on a good roll. Seafood gumbo is very flavorful with the right amount of spicy kick. Busy place with a lot of locals. Good St Pete vibe

Great local place with very friendly waitstaff. Gotta love the paper towels hanging at each table for your messy fingers. Had the grouper sandwich on recommendation and it was good, but didn’t blow me away

We weren’t wowed. The food was just average and the service was below average. They weren’t busy at all but everything took a long time!

How do you have ‘oyster bar’ in your name and don’t know how to clean and serve oysters? They left them attached to the shell LOL. Seriously. The bagged frozen Calamari was underdone and soaked in oil. Yum. Typical trashy Florida tourist trap. Don’t even bother lol.

This is the place to be if you’re looking for authenticity, great atmosphere, and above all great food! Upon entering this place you get a sense St. Pete, Florida and what it has to offer. The food here was recommended by the people at Treasure Island over the Ocean Bar down the street. It was a great recommendation. The place is big enough for a large party with the set up resembling an old school diner where you come to hang out with friends and enjoy the juke box(there is no juke box available but you get my point). The staff is friendly and the food arrived on time. I ordered the Lobster Alfredo with Chicken on the side. It was hot and delicious. Others at my table ordered fried oysters and snow crab which were devoured as soon as it was placed on the table. Oh and the clan chowder was scrumptious with thick clam and hearty potatoes and sauce. All in all if you want to experience true Floridian culture, come here and get treated to a wonderful meal. I would recommend you come after you’re done with the beach.

Overall wonderful experience:) Shirley our waitress, was prompt, nice, and on the ball! Kids fried shrimp a hit with my son. Fried oysters and raw very good:) Great beer selection and the restaurant was CLEAN. so often beach restaurants think they get a pass on cleanliness… These guys nailed it. Parking a little strange, so if can walk or drive recommend it:)
