Smiley’s Snack Shack

First time here and I would go again. Ordered the cheese burger. The burger toppings and mayo/​mustered mix or maybe a homemade sauce we awesome. Great flavor for sure. The bun was, in my opinion, was too big. They did not skimp on the meat, so that was not the issue. The bun may have been a bit stale and broke up. Nevertheless, I would not hesitate to eat there again.

The owner is LOVELY and they have a robust selection of beer (tap and bottle) not to mention BOARD GAMES and lots of cute/​fun things (hence the name smiley’s). We had the shaved rib eye in a wrap with Cajun fries– it was a good quick snack right off the beach. It was a nice break from the beach and when I’m back, I’ll be back!

Friendly atmosphere but would not return or recommend to friends. Initially sat down at Undertow Beach Bar (sister restaurant) but the bartender recommended Smiley’s for food. She encouraged that we leave our car in parking lot, eat, and go to beach afterwards. Upon returning to car, we were told to leave the premises and park elsewhere. Would say that this experience left a bad taste in our mouths, but it doesn’t compare to the taste of the mediocre food served at Smiley’s.

Smily’s is a nice little place with inexpensive food that tastes good. It has good outdoor seating and a big open area for kids to play. The people that work there are also really friendly. I defiantly recommend it if you want food for a good price.

Stopped in tonight on my way home from the beach for some take out (I’m a local). While the food was tasty and delivered in a reasonable time, the young man working behind the counter was less than friendly. Even after a tip more than 20%, given before my order arrived.
Loads of options nearby.

Good food and friendly staff. The club sandwich is huge and delicious. Our kids loved the grilled cheese even though it wasn’t cheddar, and that’s rare. ;) this place has a nice family friendly vibe, but a good array of beer options. There are also various items for the kids to play on: monkey bars, big wheel and scooters. It’s a nice place to visit in St pete’s beach!

First off, the food was great! I had the club, it was delicious (the bread was butter toasted) and huge and thus very messy (so load up on napkins)! I had to take half home. I got a pb&j for my daughter and it was the size of her face. She couldn’t get through half so we took that home too.
We went at an awkward time. It was too late for lunch but too early for dinner so there wasn’t anyone else there because its a small place. The people would go in the back and leave us out front and there was no way to call for them. They should have a bell or something so we can get their attention. That was my only concern.

Great place for some bar food. Don’t order the «salad» though, it is basically hamburger toppings tossed in a to go box. The other food is really great but a little pricey. Great beach vibe with very relaxed staff!

This is a great place to walk and get out of the resort. We had breakfast there and all 4 of us ate for $ 24.00 bucks the food was very good.

We were staying at the Don Cesar and decided to eat breakfast here on a Saturday morning. It was a very easy 5-​minute walk from our hotel. The restaurant is fairly small inside, and has a bar area on one side, and a small dining area with a few tables on the other side. We were promptly greeted and given menus when we arrived.
The menu is limited, but includes the standard breakfast fare. I couldn’t decide between the biscuits and gravy and the breakfast special, Cinnabon Cinnamon Hotcakes, so I ordered both since I was sharing with my 2-​year-​old niece. The food was served pretty quickly (within 15 minutes).
We were very satisfied with everything we ordered. The biscuits and gravy consisted of 4 decent-​sized biscuits covered in gravy with small pieces of sausage. The gravy had a very savory, classic flavor. I love biscuits and gravy if it is done right, and these were definitely done right. The hotcakes were also very good. They consisted of two, very large, fluffy cakes that were swirled with cinnamon and topped with icing. The flavor was very good and they were very filling.
Hands down the best part of this place is that it is VERY affordable, especially considering the area. The price for 4 breakfast entrees, a side order of 2 eggs, and a coffee was $ 25. If you are staying nearby or in the area, I highly recommend this place for breakfast.

Wonderful breakfast! Hot cakes (pancakes) are perfect, eggs are great, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy is good too! Self serve coffee so you never have to worry about an empty cup. Service is great, we received our food very fast! And of course, they have BACON! You can never go wrong with bacon.
I fully recommend breakfast at Smiley’s. It worth it!

We stopped here after a day of shelling and swimming at Fort De Soto Park, right before hitting up St. Pete Beach.
We ordered the Grilled Club and it was huge. The Cajun fries were ok, but way too salty and not enough spice.
My wife had the Grilled chicken wrap and she enjoyed it. It was a bit more expensive than I thought it would be, but it is close to the Gulf, so I can see the extra cost.
I would definitely go back, but just get normal fries. I’m not a big salt fan.

Great, casual joint. My daughter got the Riley sandwich and we got wings. Spicy Ranch and Boom Boom. If you like a little char, ask for the wings Paul style. (insider tip)

GO HERE. the people are wonderful, very accommodating and the food is GREAT (and inexpensive). I was in St. Pete’s beach for 3 days and I went to smileys twice.
Told all my friends to come with me for a nice breakfast before a day at the beach.
Locals come here because it’s legit. And everyone wants to be your friend

Very good breakfast burrito special today on Saturday. They chopped up the sausages on the sandwich. Little bit unhealthy but yummy. Couldn’t believe how much they got on there. Burrito has a nice flavor to it. Maybe will ask next time if homemade. Need more places like this in the Tampa market with reasonably priced breakfast sandwiches to go.

We walked over from Hideaway Sands for dinner after being on the road all day. The staff was very friendly and the food was good. Definitely a place we will visit again.
We went back for breakfast a couple of times and the service was slow. If you have the time and patience, it’s good and inexpensive. Very nice staff again (different morning crew).
My only negative thing is they serve on Styrofoam :-/​a lot of trash goes out of that place.

Great friendly restaurant. The breakfast is fantastic and dirt cheap. We were served on paper plates. Huge servings. We loved the small quick service.
We sat at the bar. The menu is small but it had everything that we wanted.
We will return every time that we are in st. Pete beach.

Really great service; arrived and was promptly asked what we wanted to drink. We got the mahi mahi which was grilled to perfection (never fried) with cajun spices and blackened a little. Their salad is meek for sure, but they even prefaced it with «it’s simple»… and it surely was… just iceburg lettuce, tomato, and onions but the fish was so good and the service was really great. A little over priced (it was 37 for 3 people) but it was really good and I will def. come back.

This quickly became one of my favorites on St. Pete Beach. Love the burgers. They deliver; even to the Undertow Bar on the beach (same owner).

Smileys Snack Shack is THE HIDDEN GEM of St. Pete Beach. With a recent remodel which includes a larger dining area, you can enjoy an eat in experience. There is also a huge table with bar height seating available outside.
Cold beer, friendly staff, excellent portions, great pricing & very clean. Smileys is always a home run.
