It’s a post office, not the Ritz Carlton. I’m not sure why people expect there to not be a line during busy times, such as the review lambasting them for having a line at Christmas. The USPS is not profitable, but really should be, so if that means that 90% of the year, two people working the counter is sufficient but the other 10% there will be a line, I’m fine with that versus the alternative of having people paid to sit there doing nothing 90% of the time. Regardless, the staff at this USPS are very nice; one even held my baby for me when I was trying to sign for a package. They work quickly and efficiently, so typically when there is a line, it’s because of people who roll up to the counter completely unprepared, forcing everyone else to wait for them; nothing the USPS can do about that other than not permitting stupid people to enter the building. The location is great; it’s near city hall, the city services building across the street and all the Corey Ave shops and restaurants.

Ever since the post office closed on 8th Ave.(on Pass-a-Grille), I’ve been forced to «be a fan» of this location, but in reality, it’s just OK. It is a good area at the end of Corey Ave., close to restaurants and shops, so it’s easy to combine errands. However, since it lacks the convenience of a self service(and therefore 24-hour) machine it’s only useful during business hours. It’s generally well staffed and lines do move along, but since it serves a rather large area, I always expect to see a line. Mon-Fri 8:30am — 5:00pm Sat 9:00am — 12:00pm Sun Closed
