Love love love this place! My boyfriend and I are trying to eat healthy so we don’t go out to eat, except to here. I love their healthy options and the price is amazing, especially for the amount of food you get. The wait staff is super friendly, especially Sarah, who has been our waitress on more than one occasion. She’s funny and fast, and we always leave there with full stomachs and smiles. I only wish they were open longer!

Very unhappy with breakfast. Came cold but bacon was crisp the way I requested they take it away did bring another back fast, one egg broke, bacon hot but not crisp and no toast. 5 minutes later bring toast. I had told waiter who was very nice not to bother to make a second plate but some girl came by and insisted I let them remake. Next time I will not let them hurry and remake it a second time and end up with a meal I did not eat anyway.

Attempt to eat here 12÷28÷15 to give it another chance; hash potatoes were hard and cold with two of the smallest scramble eggs, half turkey sandwich with half salad(lump of large leaf lettuce), the waffles were closest to menu description. I don’t plan to return. The staff seemed over worked, tired and hurried, bumping tables and people including fellow workers. This was during a time when not all the tables/booths had customers. At one time our four customers had nine glasses, so refills arrived when first glass was not half empty nor removed. I am told this place specializes in dinning for«seniors«but please not like a feeding trough …

If you’re going to eat here call ahead first with a reservation. Waited over ½ hour before realizing people walked in who had called ahead got to go first. Will not eat at this location again.

Every visit has been pleasant, fresh food and clean. Courtesy is the #1 trait of their staff and a smile is always seen.

I’ve visited this location a total of three times now, always to conduct an informal business lunch. Overall, I’ve been pleased with the overall venue(very informal, but pleasant), the decent variety of menu selections, the quality of the food itself, and the degree of service. Seating has been prompt, the tables and the restaurant in general have been clean, and service was timely and polite. The tomato soup and the salads have been consistently tasty.

Not impressed. As a person who is very concerned with people making«healthier options» when they eat, the copious amounts of garbage and processed food lining the shelves of their open kitchen is a huge turn off! Our waitress was so odd and the food was mediocre at best. Our coffee pot left at our table was filthy and the over priced fresh fruit was under ripe. My standards may be high, but for the price this was not good.

Good place for breakfast or lunch. Most on menu is towards the healthy side. Prices are ok and the service is pretty good.

Love to have breakfast here!!! The pancakes are HUGE!!! Service is good. Great selections for days I want to eat healthier as well. The only thing I have to say that bothers me is the price I pay for coffee and don’t get refilled in a timely manner or at all.

Service is mostly good. This most recent visit it wasn’t up to par. Server just stood there looking at us, never asking if she could take our order. We got that conversation going, and then she never once responded or asked about sides or anything. We had to do all of that ourselves. I felt like I was the server and all she did was bring it to our table. Most of the folks are very pleasant. One time the host was TOO perky, trying to force me to smile. I don’t really appreciate that. You never know what someone else might be going through, and forcing someone to smile just isn’t appropriate. Especially when I am there for a meal, not a pep talk or lecture on smiling. Now for the food — -first, most selections are a little bit more healthful than most places out here in the midwest, so it’s nice to have that option. But the omelets are always tough and overcooked. How hard is it to cook an omelet correctly? And I love potatoes in every form they come in, but the home fries/hash browns here? I finally learned to get the greens instead, because the potatoes just don’t taste right, and usually I’ve never met a potato I didn’t love. I can’t put my finger on what it is, but they just don’t taste right. The coffee is meh. I skip it and then get a coffee to go from the Barnes & Noble next door, and I don’t usually like Starbucks. But even Starbucks decaf is better than First Watch coffee. What I dislike the most is that even though the waiting area is only 10 feet from the register, they really really REALLY wanted my cell phone so they could call me when my table was ready. Um, no. You can’t have my cell phone number; I’ll be sitting 10 feet away. I can understand if someone will be waiting outside, but when I will be sitting in the waiting area 10 feet away and you are almost twisting my arm to get my cell phone number? How dare you assume everyone has cell phones or wants to use them so you don’t have to look up and call my name! THAT was very disappointing behavior. I don’t like it. At least give me a choice. Ask me nicely. Don’t just ASSUME I have a cell phone, and that even if I do, that I WANT to give you the number. Bottom line, First Watch is an adequate breakfast/lunch diner. I guess it’s more of the idea of First Watch that keeps me coming back… that they offer more healthful options here than other restaurants in the area. So far, the service and food have been adequate, but nothing truly outstanding.

Came in for a late breakfast/early lunch. Service was fine, but the food was VERY average. I had the Acapulco Express omelet(with chorizo, cheese, green chiles, avocado, and sour cream). Eggs were rubbery, and there was absolutely no chorizo to be found. The omelet also contained quite a few diced tomatoes, which weren’t listed as an ingredient at all. My father had the Beefeater sandwich with a Cobb salad. The salad was pretty standard, but the bread on the sandwich was covered on the outside by a thick layer of what appeared to be congealed beef fat. It had more parmesan and waxy shredded cheese than beef, and the horseradish had almost no flavor. Like I said, the service was fine, but if you want breakfast you’re better off going to Bob Evans down the street for half the price.

I have only eaten at this location one time and I had a turkey sandwich. It was as good as you would expect a turkey sandwich to be so I wouldn’t say it’s not a good place to get lunch, just wasn’t wowed. I have had their breakfast several times in Clayton and it’s always good. Their French toast is amazing and the omelets are pretty good too!

It’s my 5th time here and food was awesome! I think the best place in St. Peter’s for breakfast/lunch. Always fresh food. The only thing I don’t like is to get a table you always have to wait 30 to 40 min.

Wow!!! This place is fabulous! My boyfriend and I have had breakfast here twice in the past two weeks and we both tried different things each time we have went and we have enjoyed what we have eaten. There is not a bad option on the menu. There are a wide variety of breakfast choices from classic diner food to healthy and even some vegetarian options. I had eggs benedict on my first trip there and an Acapulco omelette on my second trip and it was amazing and I would not hesitate to order it again. My boyfriend had the fruit crepes and the musili. They were both nutritious and delicious. The second time he had the frattata rustica. It came with a greens salad. The dressing was to die for. The service has always been wonderful. One of our new favorite places to go.

It’s a solid chain breakfast place. What can ya say? It’s super cute on the inside and I have not had bad service(though don’t go at high times, best to go at off hours like 7 am haha when it’s less crowded). They have delicious options ranging from omelets and the traditional pancakes to healthier options like oatmeal or yogurt. The Belgium waffle I had today was cooked to perfection and the berry compote that was on the side was awesome(especially since I’m not a fan of syrup this was a nice addition instead of just butter!). I really like the fresh fruit crepes which is one of the healthier options that way I can actually justify eating out. They aren’t terribly pricey at only about $ 7-$ 10/plate for breakfast. Three of us today only spent $ 26. Overall, this is a nice breakfast place with solid options that are more traditional at a reasonable price.

To me, First Watch is an A-OK kind of place. It’s affordable, service is usually good, and the menu is fairly extensive. The only reason why I am giving it 3 stars? I feel like there’s nothing very innovative about their menu… it’s nothing I couldn’t just make at home. However, Sean H. loves this place… I think it’s because the menu isn’t froo-froo/overly fancy. He feels comfortable coming here. I actually wish I could give them another half star for publishing the nutrition info on their website. It makes it easier for us calorie counters/weight loss nuts who want to see exactly how much crap we’re putting into our bodies. ;) Although I had the Breakfast Scramble today for brunch and I ended up not really eating any of the potatoes or fruit because I was stuffed from the eggs, OJ, and coffee I had so I didn’t really know precisely how many I’d consumed which is OK but yeah… maybe they should list the caloric content of the sides too so you can always subtract. The one thing I do LOVE about them is that they serve the French Toast with a side of warm blueberry/blackberry compote. That stuff is the shit. Sean H. never eats his, so I just eat it straight-up. Nom nom nom. Maybe I will try something from the healthy menu next time. Also there always seems to be a wait every time I go to one of these places, even during non-peak hours… :-( As a Pittsburgher, I’d say this place reminds me of Eat N’ Park only it seems to lack the true«diner-esque» themes of Eat N’ Park.

I have been to First Watch many times, but this is the first time I have reviewed it. First watch is basically high grade Denny’s/IHOP. The food is prepared a little more carefully, the service is a little better, and the prices are just a tad bit higher. First watch is a great place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch. Simply a good choice for you and a few friends. It’s always busy because it’s consistently good. :)
