Pita Pit

Awesome spot, wasn’t what I expected of s pita but the food is great! Very affordable and extremely courteous staff. My son and I have had lunch here everyday since arriving to St. Pete Beach.

Place was awesome great customer service. The staff was friendly and are willing to make the customers happy.

Just had the best turkey salad, staff was very helpful & super friendly. We will be back

Food was tasty and fresh, but the wraps were minuscule. I was done in three bites. Menu needs to have a clarification for customizing your wrap. Also, a sign where the line starts would be helpful. Generally speaking, this place suffers from the same thing ever other fast-​casual restaurant suffers from — young, dumb employees that can barely execute an entry level job with any competence.

I thought it was good. I’ve never been to another Pita Pit, so decided to try this one for lunch. My husband and I both ordered regular size gyros. There was a short line, but it moved quickly. The staff were all young people and the worked well together, calling out to each other. We decided to do a «classic gyro», so a guy behind the counter followed the directions on cheat sheet for what fillings to put in. I replaced romaine lettuce with spinach and added some tomato (or cucumber, forgot which one isn’t on the classic) and red onion. Tons of tzatziki sauce. Our gyros didn’t look anything like the ones from Greek places, because the ingredients are placed inside pita pocket. Tasted pretty much the same though. I’ll definitely give it another try. Maybe chicken next time?

We order out for lunch daily and were excited about having a new delivery option in our area! Unfortunately we will not be eating from here again.
I ordered online for delivery to our office and the first delivery time was an hour from the order time. I figured that it may come sooner being that we ordered 2 salads and a gyro however they were a half hour late delivering our food. I called 20 mins before the driver arrived and the person on the phone said that it should have already been there and that he would call me back if it was going to be more than a couple minutes. I never heard from the store again and the driver did not apologize for being 30 minutes late.
For the food, it was ok. The chicken souvlaki salad didn’t have much chicken on there, but both salads had all the toppings ordered and the produce was fresh. The gyro was not good.
UPDATE: I received a quick and sincere apology, both online and by phone call, from the manager. I can appreciate the fact they are a new business and so we will will try again next week. I will further update my review at that time… hopefully positively!

I’ve been to Pita Pit several times now. The food is always really good, but it can be confusing if it’s your first time there. The food is fresh and your protein is grilled right in front of you as you wait. You then pick out your toppings and they top off the pita with the protein and fold it up. Pros: each pita is customized and you have thousands of possibilities. Con: The online menu has proposed sandwiches with toppings and cheeses, etc… but the in store menu does not have these options and the employees don’t know what is online either. Also, the pita making process could be much more organized. When it’s busy, it’s chaos and you have to fight to get your pita made.

It’s just ok. Nothing to write home about. It is fast food, not super fresh or flavorful ingredients. The gyro was disappointing, but the falafel was pretty tasty. The employees at the topping bar didn’t quite seem to know what was going on yet… But they did just open a few weeks ago, so perhaps training will improve. I waited over 10 minutes for a small gyro while others who were behind me in line received their orders.

Healthy options, great price, and great staff.

I would say its ok. Not really what I expected from a pita sandwich though. It reminded me more of a barrito than what I figured a pita should be. I didnt go into the location so I cannot comment on that as I had someone pick one one up for me. It did look bice when I passed by however.
I thought the ingredients were fresh and tasted pretty good. I guess the price isnt bad. 7 bucks for one. I am not sure what time this place is open till but remember people telling me it was pretty tasty after a few cocktails when they were in college. I could see it:) Im just having a hard time wrapping my head around how much it just reminded me of a barrito. On a plus it is clearly more healthy than taco bell. May direct my cab driver here after a night out!

10x better than I ever expected. Everything was fresh and freshly cooked to order.
I really like how you can order exactly what you want they way you want it. You don’t have to order a menu item and then ask them to hold the things you don’t want or add what you do want. You just order the main ingredient and then pick and choose your own creation from there!
I am now a pita junkie because of this place.
