Quick Q BBQ

OK this place has changed owners and food since those positive reviews were written. It’s now run by a family from Trinidad (not that there’s anything wrong with being from Trinidad but it’s obviously not the people in the pictures) The Q now comes absolutely slathered in not good sauce, What little I did taste of the ribs beyond the sauce was not all that great. It was very fatty and I suspect it was boiled then finished off on a grill. I got mac and cheese and beans on the side. Mac and cheese was inedible (strong plastic taste) and the beans were just out of a can or something. The only thing that saved this place from a one star review were the chicken wings. They are advertised as being smoked not fried and they were also slathered in sauce but they were pretty tasty under the sauce. I’ll go back and try the wings with the sauce on the side but stay away from the Q it’s not at all what you see in the pictures and it’s NOT GOOD. If the wings are good I might boot them up to 3 stars but no higher.

Amazingly good BBQ and good sauce. Great value for the money. A little funky as a place to hang out, but the cook had great pride in his food, very friendly while we waited, and I plan on taking this food home often.

Good for take out. The place does not look like it would be as good as it is. I was surpised. Ribs were tended and smokey. I reccommend you give this place a try. Father and son operate the business. Chicken was also enjoyable. Order was to go so they put the sauce on the ribs where as I perfer it on the side.

I have lived in saint Pete a long time and was craving ribs, I first stopped at a place on the south side, but not having any cash on me and just a debit card, they lost a sale because I went to Quick Q and been a regular customer ever since. The Owner is wonderful and very friendly. Food is great for the price and I have not ever been dissatisfied!

I used to live in St Petersburg, FL and was always looking for a good BBQ and the rule always rings true. Find the dumpiest looking place and you’ll find some of the best BBQ in town.
BBQ is never meant to be a fancy food, its comfort and belly filling food. The sides here are really great as well. And whenever I wanted to try something they are more than happy to oblige.
The pricing is great, the portions are more than reasonable and the staff is always friendly.
If you make to Florida and have a craving for the south amidst the palm trees and sea food, give this place some love and they’ll give it right back.
