Steve’s Tavern

Cheapest drinks downtown, great staff that’s hardworking. Good crowd. My go-​to bar for cocktails and beers. They have a pool table and darts. Many TV’s and they even let you smoke inside if you’re into that. They sell cigs and munchies there for semi-​reasonable prices. 9 – 12 Friday night $ 2 fireball/​jäger shots.

Came in for a quick nightcap was busy and loud grabbed a beer and a smoke this bartender was purely abused by fellow patrons but she she was busting her tail Samantha You Rock! I tipped her really well because she rocked! Steve would and should be proud and honored to have her around!

Watch out for the old crotchety bartender. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a beer and shot and what we got in addition was an attitude. I asked for my fireball super chilled and she acted like I was asking for her first born. Mind you it was early evening and an empty bar. She continued to be rude to me throughout my short stint here. I wouldn’t recommend this bar if you are a fan of good service or clean air.

Best dive bar downtown, the bartenders are awesome the drinks are cheap, pool table, cash only (they have an atm)

Total dive. Great cheap strong vodka drinks. Good place to wander in after a Rays game, but smoking is allowed so be aware.

Always a great place with an interesting crowd. Early in the day it is an older, musically astute crowd. Great tunes, good games of pool, cold select beers, and friendly staff. At the end of the night you hipster vampires, who also are very cool, especially when they bring in their hot quarry. No really, great place — stiff drinks, low prices, good pool table, lots of tv’s, and close to Tropicana Field.

My favorite dive bar.
Cheap drinks, internet jukebox, lots of TVs, pool table, indoor smoking, tiny bathroom, ATM; and they will over-​serve you into oblivion… simply a great place to get hammered. Close enough to The Trop to make it a pre/​post Rays game stop. Occasionally you’ll see some street folk at their worst, but it is usually entertaining and over pretty quick once the police or ambulance cart away the principals.

Steve’s Tavern is that bar everyone should have 2 blocks from their house. It’s the place you go when you want a cheap/​stiff drink. It’s nothing more, and its nothing less, but what else do you need. You got sports on the TV, you got drinks on the cheap, you got a bar close enough you can crawl back home from. This place is sweet… bring cash though, they don’t do that debit/​credit charade
