A1 Braids

I love getting my hair braided here! The ladies are so nice and Sophia always make a way to squeeze me and my mom in. :)

I did a walk-​in and only waited 30 minutes to get in a chair! My braids took less than 5 hrs and I love the results!!! Please go here

First of all the name of the place is A1 Braids and not Al Braids as this reads here. I don’t know how to change it so it’ll just stay Al for now.
Anyways, this has been one of my more enjoyable experiences getting braids however I could do without the frequent stops/​breaks for different reasons. Now, here I am starting with the negative. Let me drop some of this positive energy on you for a second.
I called these guys on a Saturday morning around 8am because the shop that I planned on going to told me that they wanted $ 220 to do Havana Twist. «No ma’am, I’ll like to cancel that appt right away, I said Havana Twist not damn Micro-​Braids, you done lost your mind!» So I called A1 and was told they start at $ 130 without the hair… now that’s more like it. I was sitting in her chair getting my hair braided by 10am.
The ladies in the shop are African but they speak very good English. They’re friendly, they make conversation with you, they’re fast, the price is right and their work is impeccable. I believe without all the small stops it would have taken 3 hours instead of being closer to 4.
With all that said, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Just go first thing in the morning.
