Chipotle

As a Chipotle-​fanatic, I’ve visited almost every Chipotle location in the Northern Virginia area – Woodbridge, Fredricksburg, Alexandria, Arlington, Springfield and Falls Church, and I was excited to hear of the new Stafford location. They opened a few months ago, but I’ve just gotten around to visit this location. My visit this afternoon was overall disappointing.
First– Chipotle is famous for their long lines, but in most locations they are able to serve food at lightning speeds to offset the crowd. I visited ths afternoon and stood in the same spot in line for over 5 minutes… there was not a hold up at the register, it just took the workers forever to prepare the food.
Next, the food was decent, they are a bit heavy-​handed with the sour cream (I saw globs being put on one burrito bowl) and the pico de gallo wasn’t the freshest but the Barbacoa and brown rice bowl that I had was not bad at all.
Finally, the customer service at this location is lacking. The cashier was too busy joking around with coworkers to ring me up after I presented her with my credit card. Once I pulled back my card and just looked at her, she apologized which was nice I guess.
This location is much needed in Stafford, but they have been open for a while and it should be a well-​oiled machine at this point and on par with other Chipotles in the region.
