More of an update because Unilocal is hiding my initial review from 2014. And I noticed that all the«not recommended reviews» happen to be negative. Way to represent the businesses and not the actual people reviewing them Unilocal.Also, Davis AC did eventually reply to my review from 2014, about 1.5 yrs later. So to recap «I called on Wednesday for a downstairs AC unit not working. I called this company because they installed our unit when the house was built 3 years ago. I have already had some experience(read, bad experience) with the worksmanship of this company.(When we first moved in, several rooms were not cooled appropriately, called their company and after an inspection of the attic, I was told that who ever installed the ducts in the attic did not appropriate tighten it so the ducts came loose and we were cooling the attic. Well, what company installed our AC units? hmmm. Pretty shoddy work considering we only moved in several days earlier.) Back to the present, called on Wednesday, they came on Thursday, charge $ 89 for service call and we were told that the line was frozen, and nothing they can do to check it right now. This is fine, and understandable. The tech(J Sanchez) told my wife they will come out the next day(Friday) to recheck the unit once it defrosted. Charged the credit card for essentially a 5 minute look-see. My wife called the next day(friday) and was told, „we have you scheduled for next Tuesday“ They talked and was told that we can reschedule to today(friday) from 2 – 6. My wife calls in the afternoon ~ 5 pm and was told they talked to her husband and rescheduled for Monday.(flat out lie because they don’t even have my number nor did they call me) Now, we’re stuck over this weekend with a hot house, 90+ degree weather and a bill for $ 90, and a promise from a company that already failed to appear. Time to cut bait. Thanks for nothing Davis AC»

We’ve used Davis for years. I love supporting a family owned business rather than some large chain. We’ve used a few technicians in the past, and they’ve all been great, but most recently Beto took excellent care of us. Service is reliable and I’m confident in their knowledge and abilities.

In one word — expensive!!! I had a shot capacitor so the fan wasn’t running. Paid $ 95 for the service call, came to the house 24 hours after call. Paid $ 218 for a part on the internet I can get for $ 21.99. On site 23 minutes and the bill was $ 313 The A/C works now. Jose the tech was a nice enough guy. Will I ask them back to fix anything else? NO

Davis installed the AC unit when my house was being built. I have called them before to make a few adjustments and they have always been reliable. I called because my unit was no longer cooling. I called when they opened and was told that the earliest appointment was the following day. Oh, well. I took it. Within 15 minutes, I received a call back that a technician could actually come out the same day and by 9:00 a.m. He showed up at 8:45 and was actually done with the repairs by 9:10 a.m. Thank you!

We’ve had Davis over twice to make adjustments to our dampers and have been very pleased with their service. Making an appointment was easy, and they called several times to confirm the time. Our technicians have been very professional, and both took the time to educate while going over possible solutions. No problems, will definitely use them in the future if we have any other issues.

Called to see if they could fix an AC unit that they installed. I knew what the issue was and asked if there was any way they could estimate how much that would cost for them to fix. They said they could only have someone come out and charge me $ 95 before any prices could be estimated. I told them I understood that my diagnosis might not be correct, but wanted to understand what the price might be if it was correct. «We don’t carry the prices with us, they are all on the truck» «Is there any way I could talk to a technician to get a rough price estimate» «No that is impossible without having them come out» «But if their price is way too high and I don’t want them to perform the service?» «You are not obligated to get the work done, but you must pay the $ 95 visit fee»

Davis put in the air conditioning in my newly built 2007 David Weekley home. A few weeks ago I noticed my condensation pipe was really dripping. I needed to have my pipes flushed. On May 18 I call and tell the lady I’ve got a block and I need my pipes flushed. She asked if it was an emergency and I said, «Not yet, but that could change at any minute!» So the lady says she can’t get anyone out until May 26. «Uhhh, okay, «Isaid. Then they call on the 22nd and tell me with all the calls theyve received they have to postpone my 26th service date. WHAT?! I postponed indefinitely, and called Courtesy Air Conditioning. They came out the same day I called, thank goodness. Could have gone from something as a simple flush to a damaged ceiling. BOOOOO, SHAMEONYOUDAVIS.
