Worse location. Bad customer service. Employees with attitudes and food is Worser then cafeteria food.

Did not care for this place one bit. everything tastes like it came out of a can. You folks are much better off going to Popeye’s or Church’s. The chicken was greasy and tasteless and the buffet was terrible. Strictly canned stuff on the serving line.

Absolutely love the yeast rolls. I’ve never dined in, so I will have to make time for that to write a thorough review. The rolls are fresh, comes in half a dozen for an affordable price, you can tell it’s made from scratch and it’s just warm, can come lightly buttered, and it just literally is soft and melts in your mouth.

VERY, VERYDISAPPOINTED! Hartz is one of my favorite chicken spots, but this location is at the bottom of the barrel. I was about to go in but it looked like the inside was closed because no one was in there. That should have told me something, but no… I drove around to the drive through instead, placed my order, and pulled up to the window. It seemed to take a long time for a 2 piece and a small fried okra, but okay, I waited. Once my food was handed to me through the window, the young lady confirmed my order, I paid her and drove off. Once I got home and took my food out of the bag, what do I see sitting there between my two pieces of chicken… A ROACH! I was done! They got me. I didn’t drive back because this location isn’t close to my home. I just happen to pass it going home. Never again will I go to this location again. Roaches in food means one thing… UNSANITARY! If you’re in the mood for chicken, don’t stop here!

So someone proposed we got a chain chicken restaurant, not only that its a buffet sounds like a horrible idea but they insisted the chicken livers are amazing. I do love chicken livers so I decided to give it a shot. I must say I wasn’t the least bit disappointed. When you walk in the allure of the fast looking buffet hits you like the heat on a summer day in the dirty south. The smell of cooking animal parts and simmering sides left me instantly euphoric. I immediately grabbed a huge plate of livers and gizzards and some ranch dressing… soooo good. Its hard to explain my love of chicken livers. or even of gizzards. Maybe it goes back to being a small child in rural South East Texas. Maybe its just built into the dirty blood of my french ancestry. Who knows. all I know is that I love me some chicken livers and Hartz delivered with a bang. I also tried a few sides. they were all average. with the exception of the collard greens. I found them quite tasty. T he chicken was great not quiet as good as Popeye’s but still very very good. I cant help but wish we had one of these in Austin. I would eat here quite regularly if it was an option.
