Literally the most disgusting Chinese food I’ve had in years. Ordered the appetizer sampler and shrimp in garlic sauce. Everything was under seasoned. Lacking basic salt and pepper. I wasn’t even aware it was possible to mess up a platter of fried food… But it is. The chicken wing was cooked in a tempura batter with no flavor. The wonton, bland. The egg rolls bland. I coated most appetizer items in hot sauce or duck sauce to make them tolerable. My shrimp and garlic sauce was shriveled frozen shrimp with onions in a nasty excuse for garlic sauce. Even with the entrée coated in sauce, what should be a flavorful spicy sauce, it was a big soggy flavorless mess. It was literally shrimp and onions in a sauce. –___– Then to make matter worse the food was of such poor quality that I ended up with food poisoning for the next two days. I already had reservations about eating at a hybrid Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant because each has their own distinct flavors… And this place managed to not get any flavor from either culture into their dishes.

The food here is awesome. We didn’t even have time to take a picture before we had eaten it all. It’s a tiny little place next to a gas station, seems sketchy but is totally a hidden gem. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, fried rice and mixed veggies for my wife. I do not have one complaint about any of the food or service. The chicken was perfectly fried and all white meat, the rice had amazing flavor and the veggies were perfectly cooked with a little crisp. The one and only hitch was a side of sauce was 2.00, it was good sauce but not for 2 bucks. So I just wouldn’t get that sauce again lol. We will for sure be coming back.

The chefs sampler is always great. Fresh tasting egg rolls, cream puffs, chicken wings. You can tell they use fresh oil to fry their foods unlike other places. Very inexpensive and hits the spot on a cold winter day. I will definitely be coming back.

I’ve eaten here so many times and have never received a problem except for last week. I came early so the food should be pretty fresh but remember eating the wonton soup and it tasting a little raw. Exactly one hour later back at work I started to get cramps and went to the restroom. It followed with nausea and throwing up several times. I know for sure it had to be the food. Please be careful eating here if you have a weak stomach. The service is great though.

Start your review… Standard American style Chinese foods eatery with some Vietamese foods thrown in. We ordered cream cheese puffs, curry chicken combination plate, and sweet and sour Chicken combination plate. The best tasting dish was the Cream Cheese puffs, perfectly fried and not greasy with good amount of cream cheese. The sweet and sour chicken was fried perfectly with a decent sweet and sour sauce. The curry chicken was bad, very salty with little curry taste. We could not finish the curry chicken. The combination plates also came with egg fried rice and a small egg roll. both were great, better than the proteins. Total cost was about $ 25. This place is ok, no worse or better than other American style Chinese foods places in greater Houston area.

There is one absolute favorite dish on the menu that you MUST try: Rõti Chicken. For less than $ 10 you will wonder why this delectable entrée is a secret in Stafford TX. Usually this item is also found in their $ 5.99 lunch special but honestly, I prefer to order it off the menu.

Workers are very nice. I came in because of the sign outside read $ 4.99 plus tax. Food taste is good. It is almost like Chinese food you make at your own house(dark piece chicken cut in chunks with a few with skin fat pieces hanging on). It is like the mall setup(pre cooked and dipped up for you)(Crispness is not presently there.) Later, sign was pointed to that the price has changed as of January 1st to $ 5.99). Today is February 16th outside sign on building has $ 4.99 and menus all have $ 4.99. Customer inside noticed a new customer was there and said it was good.

I’ve only had the egg rolls. Really good, fresh and wasn’t greasy. The service was great. Maybe next time I’ll try a dish and post a review.

I love this place. The owner is really friendly and will customize an order for you if you like. My fiancé a always custom orders breaded chicken with vegetables and it’s really good. I get the chicken and mushrooms and that’s always really good. The fried rice is awesome and the cheese puffs are made with the sweet cream cheese which is my favorite. Overall, I have never had a bad experience here and I am so sad to be moving away from this local favorite of mine. Next time I’m in stafford I will visit again for sure.

I got 2 things. Chicken fried rice — very good #106 chicken and shrimp rice noodle soup… not good. very bland. I would go back if I’m looking for fried rice. I would not go back for Vietnamese.

This place is right next door to my new nail shop. I seen the lunch special posted on several occasions and decided to rey it. Lunch special is only $ 4.99… not so many customers but as soon as I walked I they already pinged me as a lunch special customer. The lunch special food items are setup in a buffet style. If your not that picky when it comes to quick Chinese food for the of $ 4.99 you will be pleased with this place. However, I can defiantly understand why they are charging $ 4.99 for their lunch special. All their food on th the buffet line is nothing out the ordinary and seems to be dried out for being out for a long period of time. Not a fan of the lunch special. Hope they can redeem themselves next time I plan to visit for dinner.

First time trying a vermicelli bowl! I must admit it did not look too appetizing when they brought it out, but then I tried it and was pleasantly surprised! I will definitely eat here again and definitely have a vermicelli bowl again too!

I use to come here very often. I stopped only bc Ive been busy around lunch time on the otherside of town due to my school schedule. However, I enjoy their lunch special very much. I always order the lo mein with sweet and sour chicken two times and egg drop. It’s really good. Especially the lo mein, its one of my favorite places to order lo mein. The lo mein is just so flavorful. This place is good if you want some thing cheap, affordable, tasty and satisfying. Very friendly service!

Thanks but really no thanks. I’ve tried this place twice with both times being takeout. The first time was for lunch. You order at the counter, pay and then serve yourself at the buffet, either dine in or to go. Service was very rushed and curt. Even though it was during prime lunch time the food looked«picked over». It seemed as if they didn’t put out much food to begin with and no one was showing signs of bringing out fresh food to replace anything. I chose the Roti Chicken, fried rice and egg roll. Roti Chicken was tough, dry with a couple of pieces being fatty and inedible. The sauce was quite good and was the best part of the whole meal. It’s a certainty that they didn’t use the top quality chicken for this dish. The fried rice was over cooked to the point that it was«mushy soft». Flavor was absent and what pork that was in it was pretty lardaceous. The egg roll was not only greasy but tasteless. I gave the restaurant another chance and ordered some pork fried rice for pick up to go with homemade stir fry. I was hoping that my disappointing lunch had been an off day. The order was ready on time and decently priced. Unfortunately, it seems to be the norm to serve over cooked fried rice sprinkled with blubbery pork. I am unsure about the whole menu but I can say what I have tried are not foods that would make me want to come back. With a little effort towards making better food, this place could be worthwhile. It’s too bad because it is conveniently located but convenience doesn’t make up for the lack of quality.

This place has changed since 09. The food is a bit more expensive(but not horrible) but the quality is what has changed. The food is not as good and the service was crap. I rather go to the Noodle House on Eldridge.

I’ve seen this place for years right next to Valero. Actually, I think that Valero was something else before it was a Valero, and this place was still next door. I finally decided that if it is successful enough to stay open all these years, it was worth a shot. I ordered com ga luc lac, or chicken chunk steak with fried rice. It was a little plain, and the fried rice seemed to be flavored with maybe chicken bouillon or something. I wouldn’t say it was terrible, but it wasn’t outstanding either. The prices here for the lunch special are good. $ 4.49 for a rice or noodle, and two dishes from the hot bar. 50 cents for each additional dish. Free soup for dine in. I came in around 1:30pm, so the food on the hot bar didn’t look that fresh, I may come back at 11am for a better selection someday. But I’m going to stick to Phở Thanh on Eldridge for my rice dishes from now on.
