Unless you have a broken bone or clearly need surgery, don’t waste your time with Dr. Sokolow. If you have pain and need to figure out what’s causing it, he will not help you! I recommend seeing Dr. Erle at Dynamic Rehab & Spine instead. I saw Dr. Sokolow for knee pain that I was having and he did nothing for me besides prescribing medication that he admitted I didn’t have the symptoms to need (but «they work for everyone else, so why not try it?» he basically said). Dr. Sokolow was clearly in a rush, didn’t have answers to any of my basic questions, and didn’t seem to care about figuring out what was wrong. I felt like he just wanted to get me in and out so he could collect money from me. I left his office feeling extremely emotional and disappointed with how I was treated. Never have I ever had such a bad experience with a doctor. I’d initially decided to make my appointment with him because I knew he’d been in practice for many years and I thought he would be experienced enough to help me. For someone who has supposedly been practicing medicine for almost 30 years, he needs some serious refresher courses in bedside manner and patient care.
