The Home Depot

Came here looking to buy a mobile 37″ Stanley tool box and left with a husky. The lady at the customer service desk was extremely helpful and friendly and found me the best deal.

I’d be the first to state that HD has problems in some areas of their operation — what business doesn’t — but on this particular hot water heater warranty exchange transaction they were notable in every aspect. They expedited a one-​day inter-​store transfer due to an out of stock condition locally, and went out of their way to make the transfer completely painless. Nothing but thanks and kudos to Shawn (?sp?) in customer service. She was simply outstanding! I didn’t see the manager but I do know he/​she was on top of the transaction as well. Very well done and many thanks — keep up the good work!

Passing by and needed paint, landscaping, and light bulbs. Kevin in light bulbs was very helpful. Although Home Depot didn’t carry what I was looking for, he looked all over to make sure they didn’t get a new product in he didn’t know about. The guys in paint were knowledgeable and helped out. I did self checkout, and the associate tending that area was friendly and engaged me to wish me a good day as I left. Good experience here… too bad this is not the closest Home Depot to my house.

Went in to get a key cut, asked an associate if she could call someone to cut a key. After waiting 15 mins I gave up waiting and went to Lowes… Took less time and someone actually helped me…

Recently moved to the Stafford area and have been to this location many times, and have received wonderful help. After visiting another home improvement store l down the street for blinds (only because we had ordered previously from them) and getting horrible service we went over to HD and we’re more then pleased with our help. Donnie helped us, answered all our questions, helped with measurements and placed a few special order blinds for us. Will definitely stick to coming to this store for all our home improvement needs.

No patriotic blood in the headquarters? Home Depot adapted the military discount several years back — I figured they knew that their nearby competitor, Lowes was doing it — so they followed suit. That’s great! But we still found the store to be dirty and congested so we continued to go to Lowes. Recently we needed wood pellets and Lowes did not have them in stock, so we gave Home Depot another chance. Home Depot had a brand that is not the best, but at this point it was better than nothing. We went to check-​out. With encouragement we used the self check out and the female cashier told me she would take care of the military discount from her lead cash register. I quickly noticed a discount populate on the screen and questioned why it was only .39 cents. She quickly said that corporate does not honor a military discount on everything. I could understand if the items were on sale, but they were not. Fortunately we had only gotten 10 bags and not a full ton that day. I shared my concern about the discount but it did not seem to affect her already non-​chalant demeanor, so I grabbed my receipt and left. We will never return. Let’s just say it’s a good thing our service members don’t pick and choose who they will defend and protect. Rethink your policy Home Depot — it’s pathetic!

This store always leaves me feeling dirty. Not sure why but the aiskes and merchandiae are always dirty and dusty. I know it is a hardware store and is not supposed to be spotless bur compared to lowes one block down… this store makes you want to shower when you leave. Prices are fair but you better know whee everything is. Floor help is hard to find.

Well I purchased a washer & dryer from this location. Immediately realized that something was making noise. I was told to make a repair appt., but never got a call back to get it set up. Then went in to store and talked to Kellie. She was very helpful and got my appt. set. Technician comes out and says that the dryer had been dropped and the front feet were damaged and tells me to go back to HD to get he dryer exchanged. I go back to HD today, but since I signed for the delivery, they will not exchange the dryer. «There is nothing we can do!»
Well I never thought I would say this, but go to Lowes. They actually have customer service.

I prefer Lowes, but the selection at this store isn’t bad and the employees are all very helpful.

If you need to get some appliances, I would see Bruce in the Stafford HD. You always want to take advantage of the sales if you have to spend money, but I have worked with Bruce twice now and I have to give him his props. He works hard to find you the best price including all the necessary parts and services. And vets, when there is not a sale on, you can still get your 10% off by showing your military ID… and yes Lowe’s does it too.

Got in early before the contractors came in so it was pretty dead. The one thing I really liked was that the cashiers were standing in front of their respective lines waiting for people to come. Good job Home Depot!

We had just bought a home in the Montclair area and regularly shopped between the two locations of stafford and woodbridge. We definately like the selection in the stafford over woodbridge not to mention the immediate customer service. I usually have to hunt down someone in woodbridge to help. Keep up the great work Stafford HD.
