I came in just to possibly buy some shoes and was treated rudely by whatever woman there who was the manager(or possibly an employee). I could not understand why I was spoken to this way.

I came into this store with little knowledge about classic menswear but given Brooks Brothers’ history I trusted them in outfitting me for a wedding. The salesman, John, was very attentive and pleasant to work with although our personal styles were very different. He like the baggier stuff while I liked the slim fit. He took a few measurements, went over some style options, asked for a deposit, and sent me off. After a couple of weeks I was back in the store fitting a suit. Overall, it felt and looked like a quality suit. My only concern was that the jacket was a bit loose on the waist. The Brooks Brothers’ tailor offered moving the buttons for a tighter fit. I accepted but wasn’t fully satisfied. I eventually learned that moving the button was the incorrect and lazy way to fix it. I took it to another tailor who fixed the jacket by taking it in along the seams and helped me made the suit feel and look as I expected from Brooks Brothers.

Great staff, particularly Patty and John. I’ve been a customer for years and have always been satisfied. In the last couple of years, one of the Brooks Brothers traditional products, dress shirts, has been changed. The collar interfacing on regular and no-iron shirts no longer withstands regular laundry pressing. A quarter-inch discolored band develops at the collar fold very quickly after putting a new shirt into service. The staff at this store has simply given me new shirts to replace the failed shirts. Because of their help and despite many shirt failures, I am still a loyal customer of Stamford Town Center Store. But I have had to look elsewhere to buy dress shirts since the company has not addressed the problem and does not seem concerned about having weak shirts in the product line up.
