Donut Delight

I love Donut Delight, but this was not my favorite location. It was very busy, the store is not set up to accommodate a line, and very few tables. The staff were friendly enough, but I felt rushed along. I was disappointed that my sausage egg and cheese came without cheese (though the egg and sausage was still good). I will probably continue going to the Hope St or Elm St locations because I do love the coffee and breakfast. However, perhaps this was just a bad experience.

I grew up in New Jersey and our family has been drinking Dunkin Donuts forever. I recently moved to Stamford and decided to give Donut Delight a try. I will never go to Dunkin in the Stamford area again! I now stop at the West Ave Donut Delight every morning before work for an iced coffee and a bagel or breakfast sandwich which are all amazing!!! Great customer service — super fast too.

the best donuts ever. Coffee, tea, lattes, cappuccino’s all amazing. Would never go back to a D D. You could not pay me to go to that other one cant even say the name, you know the burnt coffee place. Get a clue people. If you want quality coffee and large donuts… Donut Delight will tempt your senses. Why not give them a try. You will not be disappointed!!!

Better than Dunkin Donuts and a great alternative to Starbucks. The sandwiches are incredible. The breakfast sandwiches are piping hot, made with real eggs and you have the option of requesting egg whites. They have a great number of tea options (one of my favorites is the ginger peach) and they make incredible lattes with almond milk! The staff is cool, drama free, they do their job and they do it well. On the off chance that a drink isn’t to your liking they’ll happily remake it. The place can get crowded but the staff is so efficient that they can clear a line in no time. I’m also always impressed with how clean it is. The doughnuts are also MUCH better than Dunkin Donuts! When I want a good, fresh doughnut that I know won’t be stale I always head here! There are no gross flies buzzing around the food and the cases and you’ll never taste a stale bagel or weird croissant.

Poor service and poor drinks. One of the two Stamford locations that have horrible customer service — the other is on Hope Street. Orders are always incorrect. Very rude staff that do not speak English. Please please take note on the people you hire.

You guys stay fucking up my order and you don’t have grill cheese on the menu! But beside that you guys make some good sandwiches.

I got a bagel and cream cheese and hot chocolate. I was really excited to find a 24 hour restaurant near the LaQuinta since there doesn’t seem to be a lot of businesses open in this area after 10 on a weeknight. Donut delight saves the day! I did not have any problems with the person understanding me, Service, or getting the wrong order. It’s a 24 hour drive thru, what do you expect?

Love the donut delights in the CT area but not this one. I ordered my coffee 4 times and they still got it wrong. I even did the confirmation of does this have milk in it when I got to window and she said yes. Sure enough when I drove away there was no milk. Wow. Really. 4 times I ordered coffee with milk and still got it WRONG. Cmon. Service needs to be better with the competition of coffee.

Service is really hit or miss here. Stood at the counter for several minutes where 2 employees saw me and did not acknowledge my presence while they continued with other tasks of making a sandwich and restocking. A third employee came out from the bathroom after several minutes and joked about ordering a coffee from my side of the counter until she realized I had not been helped. No apology. No correction made towards the other employees. No acknowledgement that an error in customer service had been made at all. There was 1 other customer sitting at a table, I was the only person in line, and they had a few cars in line at the drive-​thru. Clearly not busy enough to warrant that service and unacceptable to not acknowledge a waiting customer. A «be right with you» would have made all the difference.

This place is hit or miss. The staff tonight hardly but any meat in my sandwiches and what meat they did put tasted funny and looked strange. This was becoming my go to spot for a quick bite before lunch but now…

This is the worst of the Stamford area Donut Delight locations. Service is slow and shoddy. Whenever I use the drive thru I have to place my order multiple times (I’m only ordering coffee!!). The staff at this location are far below the standard set by the other locations. If you love Donut Delight like I do, do yourself a favor and drive the extra distance to one of the other locations. This one is NOT good.

Was in the neighborhood today and dropped in for a coffee and 2 blueberry donut holes. Service was fine, the coffee was perfect and so were the donut holes.
They had the most amazing «to go» cup I have seen. Instead of the little snappy thing that comes on a strap and covers the drinking hole, their cup lid swiveled around the entire cup (like unscrewing the lid off a jar). But somehow the cup lid was in 2 pieces so the inside piece remained stationary and the outside ring moved — alternatingly rotating away from, or over the drinking hole.
A real sweet re-​invention of a coffee to go !!

AVOID the egg sandwiches. Myself and my co-​workers have gone there repeatedly, only to get green, nasty looking eggs in our egg sandwiches. I’ve taken those sandwiches back, only to get the same garbage again.
Complaining has done nothing, so I just say — no thanks!

A much more acessible location compared to the east side establishment. With Starbucks across the street this Delight is competing and Starbucks definitely had more traffic. Plenty of fresh donuts and the crossant was excellent for a quick service shop.

I visit a Donut Delight for coffee and Breakfast 4 – 5 times a week.
The Elm Street (stamford) Donut Delight has always done a great job as far as service and product delivery are concerned but they are always so busy especially the drive thru.
I had a few poor experiences here on West Ave but they have been consistently GOOD for about a month now. My coffee is perfect the food is prepared correctly and I am not delayed any at the window. They may have just grown used to me/​my order and know to put the proper things in my bag so I can just grab & go. In any case.
The service has significantly improved.

This is a complete knock to management. What breakfast place puts up a sign that says «We do not toast from 7 to 10»!!! I will never go back here and neither should you.
