Giving them a four because I haven’t tried everything on the menu. Went 20 minutes before closing and felt a little rush. Tacos are amazing! They are very stuffed compared to other tacos. Definitely want to go back to try more things.
Downside is that you could get confused looking for the restaurant because it is in a very residential area.

Okay. I walked around the area for at least 20 mins. Maybe it’s because I was a visitor of Stamford, but I couldn’t find it anywhere! Really disappointed. I was sooooo looking forward to some great street tacos. Sorry to give a bad review. Maybe the Coordinates should be more accurate or you should post your store/​truck hours somewhere.

Pretty good for food truck food! Tacos are cheap and lots of meat options! Make it fast and they also give a tangy sauce with it too! Chicken was not the best I had but their pork was nicely done!

I got 3 tacos for $ 8.77: fish, shrimp & chicken. While both fish and shrimp were delicious, the chicken taco was slightly dry. Presumably it was cooked earlier and set aside while kept warm.
Caveats:
* if you call the # but nobody picked up to take your order, place one in person
* cash only please.
* busy on a Friday night, so plan ahead!
* love the double corn tortilla.

Delicious tacos here with doubled up corn tortillas. I like their hot sauce which has an extra kick to it… if you’re into that sort of thing. They’re always in the same location which, while not idyllic, is very convenient: there’s ample street parking and picnic benches for outdoor dining if time/​weather permits. El Charrito will have a slot in my regular lunch rotation going forward.

Freakin’ awesome tacos — and don’t miss the hot and sweet torta.
Sweet young lady takes your order with a smile. Food is prepared quickly and is reasonably priced.

YUM! Grabbed lunch with some coworkers here today and I was not disappointed. For $ 8.77 I got three delicious carnitas tacos. The mild taco sauce they included was SO good. I might go back there just for that. My colleague got an enchilada that looked great as well. Taco Tuesday might become a weekly activity!

The torta charra is the best sandwich I’ve ever had and I consider myself a sandwich connoisseur. My fiancé and I drive an hour to get them. Seriously, everything about it is perfect. And If you like spicy foods get it with jalapeños and a side of hot sauce to dip!

Amazing tacos!!! Just get over the fact that you’re eating in a park across the street from a strip club. For a while I couldn’t go alone, but now I find myself stopping there for pickup once in a while after work. The people who work there are very friendly as are the other patrons.
Food is fresh, tasty and cheap. My favorite tacos: al pastor, shrimp, chicharrones, pig ear, and tripe. Each taco is served with cilantro, red onion, lime and a choice of salsa. I haven’t had any of their other dishes, but I can only imagine that they are also amazing.
Be warned though that this place is popular so you may have to wait a short bit for your food.

Mexican Truck food !! One bite of that taco and its like a blast of flavors. Its delicious, filling and authentic. its a busy spot on weekdays for lunch, but the wait is work. there are picnic tables at the park beside which they park optimum spot, best street food in stamford.

Mexican Truck food at it’s best!!! and for any insomniacs out there, if you can finish their delicious tortas, you are guaranteed to have the best sleep ever. Works better than Xanax for sure!
I have eaten from here several times where folks from work have brought food from here and only twice have I gone there in person. It’s not the easiest to locate as you always find yourself on the other side of the park. There is usually a line at the truck and it may take a while for your order to be ready.
As for the food, yes it can be a bit greasy, but who is complaining when the Tortas are mouth watering and once you sink your teeth in, it is very difficult to stop.
Highly recommended!

Been going here for tacos for many years now. Consistently delicious! My go to is the tacos al pastor, and cabeza tacos. Had a torta once and it really surprised me how good it was. Rarely do I eat tacos as authentic and tasty as these, so I’m very very grateful they are here! Sweetest lady cashiering the truck when it isn’t the owners themselves. Thanks guys!

The price is right on for the portions you get. The food tastes great so it’s fair pricing for this quality of food.
This is a food truck that’s on a busy spot. There are benches you can use to eat at, we however ate in the car.
If we are in this area again we would wave and keep it going till we find a place to sit in or if this is the only spot left open then yeah we would be back again.

I really enjoyed the food. The truck isn’t parked in the best area but there are picnic tables near by for people to sit. I ordered chicken tacos with pineapples which was delicious! It was a good balance of both tastes. The prices are very reasonable and I would definitely come back

Love the tacos (beef tongue are so tender amd pork & prok skin was amazing) it’s inexpensive. The only thing i will say is the steak is too dry. I love the lime they gave to go with the tacos and topped with lots of onions and cilantros. Yum

Definitely lives up to the Unilocal hype. By far the best Mexican in town, makes Casa and Bartaco taste horrible. It’s a really great price for massive portions. Would highly recommend!

The best tacos I’ve had! I always get tacos from El Charrito. My fav are fish, pork w pineapple, and chorizo tacos. And OMG, the HOT sauce! I wish I can just order the sauce to go! Even though the truck isn’t located in the best part of Stamford, but hey! It’s opposite from a strip club! and there’s a small grass field nearby with a few benches that you can sit and enjoy your tacos.
I usually eat tacos in my car when it’s cold out. You should never wait until you get home! Eat them fresh! Don’t want your tacos to get cold and soggy, am I right?
Food is cheap, fast, and tasty. what’s not to love!
