Very good, sushi has always been fresh and prices reasonable. Sashimi portions are pleasantly generous.

They get two stars because for the few years I’ve been going here, it was decent enough, both taste and price wise. But I will no longer be a customer. I’ve gotten sick too many times here to continue to put my health at risk. If you go here, often, beware. You may come across a dish — or a chef — that simply does not care about sanitary practices or making sure the food they send out is prepared well.

I’m updating my review because I was a loyal customer of Fuji, however this is my 3rd– yes 3rd time getting sick from this restaurant. The first time it happened I thought it was fluke. Then a few months later my sister got violently ill after ordering the moo shu. I thought that was perhaps a weird circumstance so shortly afterward I also ordered the moo shu and got just as sick as my sister did when she had it, months before me. Last night I ordered from Fuji and my sister even tipped 15% only for both of us to get sick after having two completely separate dishes. It pains me to write such a negative review because Fuji was such a reliable staple for me. It pains me even more to know that i will no longer have a spot to get sweet potato sushi or tempura but this is ridiculous. I’ve never gotten sick from any other restaurant and I frequent a lot of places. I was willing to overlook the numerous times that I’ve gotten sick from this place but last night I was so ill that I thought I might need to go to the hospital. That shouldn’t be a reoccurring experience from any restaurant. The scariest thing is that I never know when it’s going to happen or what will bring it on. It’s beginning to become a gamble of when I will or won’t get food poisoning from this place and I’d rather not put myself in that position anymore.

The waitress was very sweet. They had a hard time getting my sake up to temperature. I think the crass(or whatever it is called) was asorbing all the heat. The sushi was good. I had the mango tango roll which I recommend.

This place is great for quick sushi and their fried dumplings are great too. Boba isn’t like Cali’s but it’s still a nice delicious fix. Their service for dine in is a tad awkward and their salad that I got was weird(They had a maraschino cherry in mine? Maybe they’re confused or I’m missing something but it made me laugh a bit. Minor convenience. Whatevs.) Not extremely stellar but not bad for those who aren’t fussy and picking up or getting delivery, I think.

One of my go-to spots. Great for quick decent Chinese food & sushi downtown. Pretty consistent and convenient. Takeout orders are quick. The waitresses are also nice when I eat in.

Stamford deserves top restaurants and Fuji doesn’t qualify. I was having guests and we ordered takeouts. The rice was mushy and you could clearly see some portion that didn’t have the coloring. The dumplings were gross and everything was disgusting. I was beyond embarrassed. Fuji should be closed.

Stopped here on a food tour of Stamford. The sushi I had was fresh and tasty, my only complaint is that the wasabi was drier than I would’ve liked. The bubble tea was delicious, can’t wait to come back for a full meal!

Really good Chinese and Japanese food. Sushi is great for the area. The lunch specials are great– large portions, good food and low price. Staff is friendly and attentive. Delivery time is usually spot on. Definitely my take out place in Stamford.

Girls night out having sushi and I think I found a new sushi place that I love. Will definitely go back. Recommend fried pork dumplings, New York roll, spider roll, spicy girl roll, shrimp tempura roll & spicy tuna roll.

Fuji is mine and my office’s go-to sushi delivery. ***I have only had their sushi*** Delivery is always speedy. You can’t beat their lunch specials – $ 7 or $ 8 for two rolls, soup, and salad. I always get shrimp tempura, eel avocado, and an egg roll and I am always satisfied.

Ordered-in food from Fuji. Delivery was quick but the food lacked flavor. Chili red snapper, chicken chop suey and scallion pancakes, all were awful.

Delivery was quick and on time. General Tsp chicken was slightly over cooked but great flavor. My husband had hot and spicy chicken which he enjoyed. Veggie rolls average. Definitely a good option for a quick meal!

This is my go-to restaurant for sushi. The location in downtown Stamford is convenient for meeting up with friends, plus the prices are reasonable for an upscale area. I usually order one of their many special rolls, all of which have been fresh and tasty. The staff are very nice. One time I accidentally left my scarf behind at the restaurant. When I returned later to look for it, they had folded it neatly and tied it in a plastic baggie. :) The only thing that bothers me about Fuji is their bubble tea. All of their flavors are pre-made mixes that do not taste fresh and are not usually very cold. The tapioca pearls are always overly sticky. I absolutely love bubble tea, but I definitely recommend that you skip it and travel to NYC for the good stuff.

I typically order sushi from Fuji during late nights at the office and haven’t been disappointed yet. The service is pretty quick, within 45 minutes, and the quality doesn’t seem to change compared to dining in. The sushi is fresh and two rolls are enough to fill me up. Dining in is a different story because the service is so slow. I think more people order delivery and pick-up from this place so those who dine in suffer a bit. If you have a a choice, I would recommend to order delivery or pick-up. If you want a dining experience, go to Kotobuki a few blocks over.

So disappointed, Fuji. I was in the mood for sushi and always see Fuji on Seamless so decided to give it a try. My mistake. First, when the food was delivered, it was ten minutes past the high end of the delivery estimate. I took the food and went to the kitchen. And couldn’t shake the smell of cigarette smoke. Turns out the delivery person must have decided to smoke in the car, with the with dues closed, because the bag smelled of it like crazy. Thankfully it was double bagged so I didn’t have to throw the meal away, but it was enough to make me almost lose my appetite. So I got the fresh rolls, for $ 8. Which were tiny and missing the side of peanut sauce. They were just ok, but without the sauce a bit on the bland side. I had the dancing lobster special roll — spicy tuna, mango, and lobster tempura on top. It was good, and I liked the brown rice, but for $ 15 it was the same size as the $ 5 traditional rolls. Overpriced, and smokey delivery equals never again.

I’ve been meaning to write a review about this place for about a month now and haven’t found the time until this moment to do so. I stopped in here on a Saturday night right before closing with a few friends. It was clear that they were closing up shop soon and we would be preventing them from doing that if we ordered. We were tired and needed food. Not many places were open so we were stuck between a rock and a hard place. So were the store owners. We sat and ordered. The staff were great and efficient. The food was great. I ordered the chow mein and the fried rice. I destroyed it. It was awesome. Great food, great service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

We were the only ones in the restaurant and it took over 30mins to get our order. After seeing the Excellent presentation, I soon realized why it took 30mins. The chef was clearly an artist. The only downside is that he didn’t have much to work with, in terms of fish. So not a great selection of fish. It was cramped quarters at the sushi bar. Should’ve grabbed a table instead since we were the only ones in there. Friendly svc took our mind off the wait time.

I am updating this in response to the«review» by «P C.» As a neighbor to the restaurant, I was witness to her recent visit, and need to add perspective on her vicious act of accusing them of gross wrong-doing. To say the family that runs Fu Ji is unethical is deplorable and incorrect. Sure, leave a bad review if your delivery was late, or you just really didn’t like the food. But for some reason, PC sees the need to continue her torture long after she left. PC showed up drunk and proceeded to make a scene at the restaurant, even though the owners of FuJi had kept the place open late for her. She demanded change on money she never gave them(who knows, maybe she was seeing double). Then, she claims«racism» but uses the«you no rob my shop» line?! Really, girl?! That says a lot about you right there. The family calmly accepted her rudeness, until her ranting began and she falsely accused them of stealing. They were the ones to call the police, feeling threatened by her. I think all of the wonderful reviews, repeat customers, and my own witness to how they treat even their most obnoxious diners speaks to just how honest, accommodating, and kind the owners are. I would hate to see her mistake influence fellow Unilocalers.
