My contractor introduced me to Lima Ceramic Tile. I shopped around but I found the best knowledge on how to actually make my complex bathroom project work was from Moe the owner. Moe helped us design my walk in shower. It is beautiful thank you Moe!

A family run business. Don’t be turned off by the sometimes hectic pace and often congested showroom. The reason it’s congested is that those in the know are buying their back country homes the best tile at very competitive prices. The staff try their best to help you find what you need. I have tried many different tile stores. Lima may not have the largest selection, but they have enough to serve most everyone’s needs. Mo, the owner, is a an all-around good guy and solid human being. Lima Tile is just one of those places that once you’ve bought from them you won’t go anywhere else.

My contractor recommended I check out Lima Tile in Stamford. Having lived in Stamford, Darien and Rye I thought I knew of all the best places — especially places where there were bargains to be had. However, somewhat hidden on Magee Ave is this no-frills jewel. It is admittedly disorganized, but if you have patience and an idea of what you want, you won’t be disappointed. After paying much higher prices at Klaff’s for my kitchen remodel I was delighted to find Lima Tile in Stamford to keep the budget ubder control while indulging my expensive tastes. Scattered about 3 – 4 buildings in the neighborhood they keep many tiles in stock for those who don’t plan ahead or miscalculated what they needed. I ordered some white 4×12 subway tiles for a stall shower and am heading there now to pick them up. And I will be back for all my future tile needs.

I went to tile america today in the pouring rain. I was very disappointed with the service so I left and went around the corner to a little shop called Lima Tile. When I drove up I had very low expectations-there is a garage filled with tile and a showroom right off of it. A no frills look, but the service and knowledge totally surprised me. A nice young man named John helped me. I am looking for a specific blue patterned backsplash for my kitchen(I will be doing a complete renovation of my two bathrooms after the kitchen– so I plan on using them for the bathrooms) John left no stone unturned trying to find a tile that I would like-unfortunately and he even enlisted the help of another man who knew every single tile(I am assuming was the owner). They were amazing. This is what customer service should be. I did not buy anything this time but I will be back and will buy something the next time.

This place has great prices & great selection but they are SO disorganized. You have to wait a very long time to be helped, even longer to actually place an order. My tile had been in for over a week before I finally reached out to them and they asked why I had not called to see if it was in, when they specifically said they would call me. I was there for 45 minutes just to pick up the tile that I had already paid for in full because they could not find it. If you have time to spare and patience though, this is your place.
