Fresh, casual Mexican food and nice clean environment with friendly staff. The mahi-mahi tacos were great!

How did I miss this place for so long?! My loss — this is terrific Mexican in a cute little spot. Topnotch beans and rice(always the true test of a good Mexican spot in my book), burritos, soups and enchiladas. And the sauces are varied and tasty. Get a pint to go and you’ll be adding them to your meals for days.

Never a bad experience. Great fresh food. Always excellent service. Newly renovated space is very nice with plenty of tables. Olé Mole is quickly becoming one of my favorite brunch spots in Stamford.

Great authentic Mexican cooking! A small restaurant — few sit down tables great for takeout. Excellent service — water glasses always filled, checking in often. Guacamole and homemade chips were excellent. The sopitas appetizer was perfect portion for two adults. Carne asada taco was the closest I’ve had to that of Cabo! Fantastic.

Best Mexican outside of LA. Vegan Fajitas have corn spinach and mushrooms along with the onions peppers etc. Homemade chips, salsa and hot sause are the best. All the dishes rock here.

For the price, this place is decent. It can get a little expensive depending on what you get, as a few of the options do not come with a combo. The chips are cheap and delicious, though. I used to get their carne asada sandwich, and boy is that delicious. It’s flavorful and dripping with the chipotle sauce they slather on it, and I still dream of it to this day! The food is good, but their mole/sauces are painfully lacking in flavor and heat. I tried a few of them just to see how the flavor was and the heat in them, expecting to be wowed, and they all tasted the same. Pretty bland and disappointing. They have huge portions, though, for most of their dishes. Service is on point and they’re very friendly. Unfortunately this place doesn’t wow me, nor is it memorable. A lot of the items just don’t have a huge punch of flavor, and for the price it’s not worth coming here that often. For authentic, good Mexican food, I’d definitely recommend it, but there are better alternatives. I would recommend trying this little joint out — it’s worth it. There are no glaring issues with the food, the staff or the location, so it’s worth the time to check it out, but their food can get very bland.

I get takeout from here frequently. Hands down the best Mexican food in the area! It is so fresh, authentic and delicious! High quality ingredients(not sloppy mush). The enchiladas suiza is so flavorful and the portion is large. The chips are thin and crispy, the salsa is delicious and so fresh, seriously it tastes like they made it when I ordered it. The guac is good too!

Truly amazing and authentic Mexican food!!! Very fast and friendly service. It’s a small yet cozy place. We were seated immediately and within seconds given chips and salsa and ice water. Ordered gorditas for an appetizer — delicious! I got the enchiladas suizas for my entrée — incredible. Comes with a hefty side of beans, rice, and tortilla!

Has to be the best authentic Mexican food yet since moving to Stamford this year(and we’ve tried several). Everything was amazing, full flavored and truly authentic. Ordered the black bean soup by a previous Unilocal review. It was amazing! Was a little skeptical when I discovered that it was completely puréed. The best ever! And then to our surprise, it was robust and full flavor! Recommend any of the tacos(Mexican or Gringo style). Rice and beans definitely. And try the various salsas! Sorry no pictures, was so engulfed in eating. Next time!

There are many Mexican places in Stamford. This place delivers a great meal full of flavor and great friendly service. Tortilla chips: light and crispy, very fresh. Salsa chile de arbol is the hottest sauce they have. The roasted flavor and mellow heat is phenomenal. Somebody on Unilocal recommended the black bean soup. Based on that we shared a bowl. I was a little disappointed that the soup was puréed with no beans but the disappointment soon left as the robust flavor hit my palette. Great black bean soup. I had the carne asada tacos were tender and faded great. Rice and beans as pedestrian as this side dish is, these guy made it great. Definitely worth coming to check it out.

Great for take out! I love the tacos tejanos, fresh guac, and salsa. A bit pricy for take out tacos, but worth it.

Above average Mexican here. I recently ordered take out on a Friday night = the enchiladas suizas and carne asada burrito. The enchilada was OK, not very spicy and kind of ordinary in flavor. The burrito was better in that the steak was tender and flavorful, but yet again little spice. Both dishes came with chips that were slightly stale. Oh, and I had to pay $ 1 extra for sauce on the side. Anyway, it is fine if you need a mexican fix but otherwise nothing memorable.

Excellent Mexican food! They have a few tables in the place, but it’s small so plan for take out. Try the Enchiladas, you won’t be sorry! Also, best empanadas around… they make these special so they don’t always have them, but if they’re on the menu when you go, you’re in for a treat!

I got take out and the quesadilla was a greasy mess when I got home. I was so hungry and I ate it and I have felt ill ever since. I’m surprised at all the rave reviews. Maybe eating there would have been better. My husband came home and couldn’t even recognize what was half left over in the to go container. I wanted to like this but it was not good.

This place is amazing! I look forward to coming here for a meal or two every time I am in town. Even when driving on the Merritt parkway it is so close, I stop in for a delicious meal. The coconut flan is a dessert lovers dream. It is sooooooo goood! I usually order the guacamole, enchiladas suizas, and the coconut flan. The enchiladas come with salsa verde and molé sauce which is a delicious combination This place is great!!!

Absolutely awesome — the food is fresh, does not feel processed at all. The salsa does not taste to sodium filled. I have had the mulletas egg sandwich, the veggie tacos, the Quesadilla. Everything has been above par. Great service — very family feeling. Good environment. They are ok with BYOB. Highly recommended, Great Value. We actually bought the Salsa and took it home. My kids and wife say this is now their favorite Mexican to Stamford.

Service was so great, I’d give more just for that. The food, chicken fajitas and enchiladas were so so.

Holy Guacamole — I love, love, love their chicken burrito and they SERIOUSLY have the best Black Bean Soup! I usually stop here for take-out.

If they spent half the time in making good food, that they do in decorating the place, I’d maybe like it.

What a small little gem. I usually come here for Chile Verde. So good, tasty and tender. On my latest visit, they were out of Chile Verde for the day so I had to go with something else. Carnitas taco was my pick. I must admit I was worried that it won’t be as good as Carnitas from the taco truck in Stamford. To my surprise, it was DELICIOUS. Carnitas was so tender, flavorful, just perfect. Soft shell tacos were light and packed with all the goodies; fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and feta cheese(even though I don’t care for cheese in my tacos, it was delicious nonetheless). Tacos also came with Chipotle sauce on the side which was smoky and had a good hot kick. A side of fried plantain made my meal complete. There are only a few tables(3) and a small bar stools area. The restaurant may be small, but it has a lot to offer on the menus. Definitely worth the try!
