I had been with Gorham Savings Bank for many years and never had an issue with my account. Never over drafted, and even got friends and family to switch to Gorham Savings because of the fantastic treatment I had previously received. Now today I was informed that they would be closing my account because one of them had been overdrafted. Mind you they were able to transfer the money and cover it out of my other account but after talking to multiple people hey still decided they would close my account. The worst part is they said they informed me my account was overdrafted and they did not! I had spoken with a customer service rep that was supposed correct my address and she did not. I then called in on an issue and corrected my address and this customer service rep said nothing about my account being overdrafted because I would have fixed it that second. I tried explaining this to two people including supervisor Toni who refused help claiming I now had something listed on Chex Systems. I contacted Chex System and was informed there was nothing reported. So go ahead and cancel my account Gorham Savings Bank. I have moved on to another bank. I plan to post this on all social media, and it will be shared with friends and family. I also interact with the public in my job all day and will share this experience with them. My friends and family have also canceled their accounts. This is bad business.
