Random trip to Stanford and stumbled upon the golf course. So why not stop and have an adult beverage and a snack. Drove around to the clubhouse and discovered this little spot, Coupa Café’. I went to ladies room and Jesse met the corporate chef. Very friendly and shared nice stories about his journey to California from NYC. I ordered a Bloody Mary and an apple spinach salad and Jesse ordered a chili dog and an Arnold Palmer. Perfect as we watched ladies and mens golf on the tvs at the bar. The bloody had an interesting flavor… different…not sure about it… good…but maybe a beer next time. The salad was excellent! Perfectly tossed with blue cheese and walnuts and touch of arugula. Nice and refreshing. Jesse had a gigantic hot dog with fried onions(yes I tasted the onions, delish!) and a side of chili. He ate it with a knife and fork and loved it. The staff was friendly(looked like mature college students) and we had a please afternoon. We’ll be back… next time after golf!

After our last experience at Coupa, I received a message from the restaurant apologizing for the mix up and inviting us back to try them again. We decided to go for it since we did want to try the regular menu, and I’m glad we did! We got the guac and chips to start, love that they serve the chips warm. I also got the Coupa burger(comes with grilled onions, cheese, bacon, lettuce & tomato) and my boyfriend got the chicken tacos. Both were yummy and just what we were looking for! Service was a lot faster this time too. Also, great location — easy parking, and you can see all the way to the East Bay from your dinner table! If you’re around the Stanford area, this also seems like it’d be a good relaxing spot to grab a drink and watch a game.

If I could put 0 stars I would. This Saturday morning I joined a friend for golf not knowing coupa café was also there. 5 minutes into out seating this Asian man is screaming at a young lady that apparently worked for him. Very, very disrespectful and unprofessional. A staff member approached the gentleman and let them know they had to stop. I was appalled. Although I have had very good experiences at the 3 coupa café I’ve visited, I will Never return to this location

This is my go-to place for a breakfast and lunch — the dining area is bright, airy and also leaves enough space between tables so that you can have a good conversation without shouting above nearby noise. The service is good, friendly and considerate. The food is always very fresh and good. The menu offers«something for everyone.» I have to avoid the sweet potato fries. because they are way too good! There are a few Venezuelan items, but I’d say it’s a pretty typical American menu.

Had lunch here on new years day and it was quiet — not sure how busy it usually gets. Had a nice coffee and sandwich, quick and friendly service and the food was great and freshly prepared. Presentation of the sandwich was nicely done(they split the order for us). Only comment is no chocolate powder for the cappuccino!

A really pleasant place for breakfast or lunch. If you’re already up there for golf, then probably dinner. Always looking for a nice place for breakfast. Did have lunch again there the other day. Friend had chicken taco and chocolate mousse. I had beef arepa and sweet potato fries. They probably serve essentially the same menu at their various locations. Obviously are doing well at Stanford because besides the golf course, they are in several other buildings. Service was outstanding. They even make a great café mocha. Everything that I saw go by looked good, especially the burgers.

I came here for lunch with an old coworker of mine. She figured because she worked over at SLAC, this would be the closest option for us. While I will say the atmosphere from the elite Stanford golfing crowd(hence this being in the middle of a golfing range), the overall food and service was good. We both ordered salads and shared a side of fries. The food was nothing to write home about, as you’re mainly paying for the ambience. I would probably not come back here again, primarily because it it out of the way in the hills of Palo Alto.

On a beautiful Saturday, Coupa Café, nestled within the Stanford Golf Course, was the perfect ambiance and spot for a relaxed meal and catching up with friends. Having gone to Coupa Café in downtown Palo Alto, I made the mistake of going to the wrong Coupa, only realizing moments before swiping my credit card for the order that there were not just one, two, but actually four Coupa locations.(Two on Stanford University’s campus) The remodeled and spacious Coupa Café at the golf course is both comfortable and relaxed in a way that the popular and busy downtown location never was. With high ceilings and a mix of both golfers and the public, Coupa Café felt completely different from the prior experience I had. The menu is a bit different as well offering popular brunch items and sandwich and burger options but a much more abbreviated version than their main location. Service is friendly but definitely slower and relaxed, perhaps a reflection of the country club atmosphere. It’s probably not the best place for a quick bite and, if crowded, I’d guess the kitchen gets quickly backed up. As it was, with a leisurely Saturday crowd, our orders took a while to arrive(over 15−20min). Breakfast Arepa — a popular item at their original location and similar here. It’s a hearty breakfast sandwich and filling. Sliders — a selection of three mini burgers topped with bleu cheese were presented nicely. They were cooked well so not juicy but the size made a good entrée. Empanadita — available in beef, chicken, or pork, they’re a smaller version than the empanadas at the original location. Decent but not particularly flavorful or juicy. Mac and Cheese — one of the best items with nicely done pasta mixed with white cheese. Regular and Sweet Potato Fries — served with a variety of dipping sauces, they’re a tasty side and showcase a nice deep fryer. Overall, while the breakfast and lunch fare was good, it’s really the convenient location and gorgeous setting that makes this Coupa Café a great choice. I didn’t see the savory crepes that I enjoyed at the original but perhaps that can be added in the future. Coupa Café at the golf course accepts credit cards including American Express.

Tucked away in the Stanford hills, on the golf course grounds, you will find Coupa Café. I will start and finish by saying they have one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my life. I am not kidding when I say this! It was de –F’n-icious. I will go back just for the burger. I had the tacos, and I was not impressed, but that burger tho! lol

Came here for a quick work lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. I ordered the sliders and one of the salads. Really I wasn’t that impressed, and to be honest, didn’t really expect to be. Food was pretty mediocre, and our server was friendly, but nothing outstanding. Took a while to get our food and the bill, and it really didn’t seem very busy. Overall, this place was decent for a golf course café, but not sure I’d go back for the same thing I ordered.

Fun place. We sat outside on the patio. Only complaint is that they need a broader Happy Hour menu.

We came here for lunch on a Friday. Not many people here. I think I know why. Although the view is nice, the food is lacking flavor and creativity. A little pricey for what you get: I had the Mediterranean panini,($ 12 bucks) quite bland, a lot of bread, the mozz was not even melted, the chicken is dry and needed some flavor. The use of pesto is usually a nice accompaniment, although they didn’t use very much :( My husband had the Beef Arepa, not much flavor and it’s the only thing on the dish; all alone, no garnish or anything, for $ 10 bucks? It’s pretty small. Nothing was hot either, tepid, at best. The service was friendly. But the food takes forever to come out. Not the best place if you’re in a hurry. Probably won’t be back anytime soon as there are so many other fabulous restaurants downtown :)

nice — not exactly an ideal study spot for students; more restaurant than coffee shop. Quiet on a Sat night.

I love this Coupa Café. The staff are the best here out of all the other Coupa Café’s I buy from. The area is nice and quiet and the place is spacious with lots of tables. This is the only one with a bar and tv’s for watching sports.

Within the golf course premises, you have this really nice little restaurant. We hit it up for breakfast and loved it. The service was excellent and we got our food customized to all our requirements. We had the Mac n cheese for our kid, a calamari dish and an omelette. Everything was just right. I enjoyed the black coffee the most. One crib, there were quite a few flies. Probably due to proximity to the golf course. That just annoyed my wife so much that it kind of ruined an otherwise 5 star experience. Fly catcher perhaps?

We work and live in the area, and we eat out pretty much every day. Been here several times in the last few months. Food is AMAZING! Tried Pabellon, salmon, and spaghetti del mar. Fresh, tasty, great menu, and great service. Of course, the coffee(given it’s Café Coupa) and the view are excellent too. Thought about keeping this hidden gem hidden… Hmmm… well, before I change my mind… even if you are not golfing, you can definitely just come for the food and drinks.

Went with a buddy for lunch. Sat in the«window room» at a high-top table. The view was great. We each got a burger(Durango for him, Texan for me). The meat was outstanding and the chili beans on side were as well. Very cool presentation of fries(cooked just right) in a mini-fry metal basket. At the suggestion of the waitress, we had some bruschetta as an appetizer. My buddy took one bite and proclaimed«best bruschetta ever». I will definitely go again.

This Coupa is situated on the golf course, so it boasts a lovely view. The space itself is fairly large with tables and a bar. My colleague and I opted sit in the area with the windows on a hightop table. I must say the service was great and we had a very friendly server. He also messed up my order and I was able to get that meal for free. They do have a typical Coupa menu with salads, sandwiches and appetizers. I opted for one of their specials(and this week it was burger week). I ordered the turkey burger with pesto and arugula, which was quite good and it came with a side salad. But they came out with a beef burger with chili and bacon at first. It was good, but not what I ordered and I got it for free. My colleague kept it simple and ordered a smoothie which she liked. Standard place with a nice golf course view, food is ok, standard I think. I’d return and probably for happy hour.

I’ll be brief – the view is great, the prices are reasonable(for the area), but the food is only okay(overcooked, boring, bland) and the wait time for take out can be excruciating(I’ve never had it take less than 30 minutes…). It’s an awesome place to meet up with old friends for a quick bite(esp. if you’re in the area), but if you want really tasty food, it’s fairly lackluster…
