Gamestop in general are pretty well staffed. They are typically very well stocked with just about everything for every system. You are hard pressed to not get great service. The folks who work at Gamestop typically are enthusiasts, to say the least. That all being said…
SHAME on the ownership of this franchise in Byram/​Stanhope. I walked out of your store, not once, but TWICE on two consecutive occasions with a handful of games. The first night, one girl had been ‘attacked’ by a not so nice family with a collective IQ of 65 at best. Your girl struggled to deal with their unrealistic b&tch session, while trying to answer the phone, and stressing over a line of no less than five others who, as me, just wanted to buy some games while waiting for a pizza, or to just get home to relax after a long day at work. I felt horrible to leave a hefty stack of stuff on top of the display and walk out. I truly felt bad for the girl working there. ONE GIRL, PACKED STORE is shame on YOU, the owner, not your staff!
Night two, I went back. Wouldn’t you know it, different girl, same scenario. Unreal! One person working the store, a line, the phones, the people, it was me, once again, giving up and dropping my goods and leaving. The customer in front of me was a die hard teen who had to beg his mom to let him stay in line after waiting for over 15 minutes already and didn’t want that to be for nothing. God bless him. IF it wasn’t for that sort of dedication, you would lose a lot more business. What is wrong with you in staffing this way?
On a good note, and the reason I return to your franchise location time to time, you have some days when I can find three on staff! Which, I find funny, as the store is well staffed during the day or even middle of the week late in the day. Yet, store is dead. Three people, one customer… Whatever. It’s your business. IF you do care about your employees, consider spending a few dollars more and put on no less than two at all times. Just from a safety stand point, insane to staff a retail store of this nature with one person! More to the story? Maybe. Perhaps, you had two, and one was taking a break or hiding in the back room? Suggest you get video camera’s installed in the back if that is the case. You need to fire someone!
