What should have been a fun night celebrating my friend’s birthday was turned sour at the last minute when the bill was delivered. We could forgive the hot room, armed with only one small rotating fan. We could even ignore the dirty furniture and the disorganization of the song books. However, when the rate is $ 50/hr and we see the bill before alcohol is $ 300 for four hours, we can’t continue to turn a blind eye. If we have to rate this, 0 out of our party of 10 would return.

This Karaōke is nice based on the fact that it opens late. I hail from Irvine, and this location is the only place open after 2AM for those of us that want to just sing our hearts out and forget about our troubles(lol). I’d say the price is decent and fair, but personally, I thought the sound system could use a bit of revamping. They had all the songs that my friends and I wanted to sing, so there’s no problem in terms of timely song updates. The mics themselves seemed to get feedback off of each other, which was really annoying at times because they would be working completely fine for a while, but would start acting up and it’s a bit of a mood-killer. All in all, this place isn’t bad. Considering how late it opens, I’ve never seen an enormous crowd of people throwing up here and there, it’s pretty tame. I’m pretty confident the place says no smoking, but it still smells like smoke here and there.

Not bad. By default the reverb/echo is turned up pretty high, so you have to turn it down or tell one of the employees to turn it down for you. Depending on the room, the sound settings may be locked up to prevent people from making changes. The song selection is decent, however they are almost a year behind in songs. The last time I went in June of 2015, the newest song they had was July 2014. Newest songs are shown in the last several pages in the songbook, arranged by month. Occasionally, i would get songs that have some incorrect lyrics or even lyrics out of sync in some parts. Sometimes, they’re in the wrong key or tempo as well. This could become quite an annoyance, but thankfully it doesn’t happen often. Although this is standard in most places, the ability to change key and tempo though is welcomed for those times you want sing a female song and you only have a male voice and vice versa. Sometimes you might get a song book that has pages stuck together(eww!). I mean I am used to it now going there so many times, but its still annoying and nasty every time. If anything, you can ask for another songbook, but i never really bothered. Water is reasonable at a buck each, but expect everything else to be expensive. There are rarely any wait times, even when the parking lot looks pretty full on the weekends. If you want a more upscale experience, try Zillers.

They don’t have the best sound system in town, they slowly update their song lists(for Vietnamese in particular), but they have been improving since I first knew them 7 years ago. And coming here brings back a lot of sweet memories between me and my best friends. The rooms are much cleaner and prettier with more disco lights than before. Hope they will get better sound systems sometime :)

Who goes clubbing anymore? It’s all about partying it up in the karaōke room YO. Disco ball above to feel like you’re in the club. The sound quality was good, plenty of new songs to choose from. They serve beer in a bucket. Korean bowl noodles. Tastes so good at 4 am. Plenty of parking

Hot rooms, no air, most equipment broken. Only here because of friends. Giving this place a 3⁄5 stars. They really need to update their systems. Got charged for double and over charged us twice for water

I went with some friends/coworkers in Nov of last year(2014). I love that each group gets their own room, and while we were in there, nobody came in to check on us. My friends and I had a lot of fun. Workers there were friendly enough. They have a great song selection(older and current stuff). They had 2 song selection folders. one was alphabetized by Song and the other by Artist. I can’t wait to go back!

I’m always comfortable singing here. Not sure about pricing but this place seems to be the place for most old and current songs. Sound system is reliable as well. Only complaint is their extremely filthy restroom. Please! at least clean the female restroom every hour. Girls happy, boys happy. More customers! :)

This place is under new management and it is so awesome! They serve alcohol & food now! FINALLY!!! I believe this is the only karaōke place in Garden Grove that serves alcohol so far. So, why would I be going anywhere else? The alcohol is reasonably priced too. A bottle of soju is $ 6.00 or get a bucket of 3 for $ 15.00. The sound quality was not as bad as what the other reviewers were talking about. Maybe I got lucky or the new management fixed it? The song selections were pretty good too because they offered old and pretty new recent songs. They have a book that is alphabetized by song title and one by artist, which is very helpful!

They serve alcohol now and it’s open until 5am. Plus, the music is updated and good quality sound from the mics, which is an improvement. Note: the guy will tell you no smoking inside, but people will do it anyways.

Best thing about this karaōke place is that they’re open until 5 in the morning. Around 2am, we decided to check this place out since this is the open karaōke place we found after Banana Bay. We called and they said that it’s $ 50/hour. But when we got there and it was 10 of us, we only paid $ 40/hour which was pretty good deal but in a pricier side. We also had the VIP room which was located on the far end. Very huge room and comfortable couch that surrounds the room and a table for drinks and such. It also have mirrors on the wall and a big projector on the other side. They also have disco lights which made it even more fun. There songs were somewhat updated. We didn’t really care, we were mostly there just to sing on top of our lungs, waste time and dance the night away. The place is whatever as many reviewers say, the location is also scary, full of drunken people. Oh and their restroom is like a beach restroom, shit was filthy and disgusting.

I love singing and even though I don’t have the best voice… I still sing my heart out. That being said, I love Phoenix! I live in fullerton so it’s out of my way to come here, but I do. why? Because their machines are nicer(makes my voice sound prettier than other places), the songs are up to date, they have good music videos with the song choices and to add the cherry on top– they sell alcohol now! They have soju, beer, bokbunja, bekseju and other cheap korean drinks. Not only are their hours amazing(open until 5am) their parking lot is big so I don’t have to worry about walking a mile to get to my car at 3 in the morning. There’s security here too, so that’s a nice touch in my safety. I also saw some negative reviews about the workers asking for tip– just so everyone knows. if you leave a mess(beers that you snuck in and spilled/left behind), leave a tip. That’s the right thing to do guys. And if you’re «forced» into a larger room, obviously it’s going to cost more. let them know that you’re fine with a medium room. Simple as that. Give this place a try. You may fall in love with it, the way that I have.

Although I hate karaōke(unless I’m drunk, hah!) my boyfriend and his friends like going. They usually try to go during HH(I believe 5−8pm) to save $. The only time I ever really go is early into the AM’s after a bar or something since they’re opened til 5am. We usually try to squish as many people into the smallest room possible. If your group doesn’t come in all at once they usually don’t mind/notice. I went the other day with 7 people and fit into a medium sized room. Ended up being $ 30 for 1 hr. They don’t let you bring in alcohol but my bf is chummy with the guard and he usually lets us slide. As for the location itself, it’s not too bad. There’s lots of parking. The inside is a little dirty and could use an update on the décor but it’s dark anyways so you can’t really tell. They have a big range of song selections that are pretty up to date. You also gotta love the Korean music vids that don’t match up to the songs! :p

Never again will I return here! Fuck this place, go elsewhere. Even with the hours of being open until 5 in the morning, youre better of cruising and singing your heart out and it would be cheaper! Story of the night: Came here after drinking for a friends birthday. Birthday boy wants to karaōke so we head here. We’re greeted by three koreans. They urged us into a large room even though we had enough for a medium room. There was only one other group there, so with their broken english, they urged us into the largest room. Hmm… they were hooking us up cause it was someones birthday? Cool! We even gave him beer which he spilled on me, but oh wells, they were being super nice, right?! Well, two and a half hours fly by and we’re ready to leave. Not even saying anything, one of the guys starts hitting numbers on a calculator which reveals $ 136!!! Wtf, so you basically swindled us and ushered us into the large room. Are you fucking serious? Anyways, so we paid the money and then walked out and stood outside to smoke, wondering, did we just really pay $ 136 for two or so hours of karaōke? Moving on, one of the guys had the nerve to come out and go «you guys no tip for me?»(he got my boyfriends name prior to leaving btw) «yoshi, no tip. Please please please?» Wow. This has happened to me only from koreans. Seriously? Now I know not all koreans are the same but this has happened a few times from different places. Shitty service/shady service, I’m sorry but fuck that shit. Needless to say, we definitely left none. I will tell anyone and everyone I know, not to waste their money here. NEVERAGAIN!!!

I found my way here two weeks after catching news of Whitney’s passing so you can probably guess that piercing screeching sound you heard in Garden Grove this past Saturday night was from me belting out«Saving All My Love,» «The Greatest Love» and of course her biggest hit! They have a decent selection of songs and it appears very up to date. For Korean songs, I actually saw a lot of recent hits already listed in their booklet(mind you I’m not Korean but I wish I could have picked Roly Poly to at least dance to and not be judged by my friends). As for English songs, they are more updated than I remember of other places(latest songs would include Rihanna — We Found Love, Katy Perry — The One That Got Away, Drake — Take Care, you get the idea). There was a request for SWV — Weak, but never found it. Time flew by, and it was only 38 bucks(I think we were in a smaller room that would fit 4 comfortably, 5 pushing it, and 6 squishing it). If I had to guess, we were there for 1.5−2 hours. In any case, the rooms were nothing special. I did feel a little dirty sitting in there, and the ventilation was lacking. Where are the disco lights and the cheesy instruments to play along to the singing? All in all, pretty decent but will probably still shop around other GG places next time. I had a good time, I was still singing to the radio on my car ride home.

Just your average karaōke place, but the fact that they’re open super late(until 5AM, I believe) makes me want to give them an extra star!(4 stars now) They have all your top hit songs and various sizes of rooms. It’s $ 20/hour, which is pretty average. But, I subtracted that extra star because they have 2 strict security guards in front. Maybe because there’s always drunken fights in front of the place… but anyways, ladies be prepared to have your bag checked! This sucks for people who want to bring in their own alcohol.(Me) So, now it’s a total of 3 stars for this karaōke place.

Hmm. There are chinese songs, vietnamese songs, korean songs, and of course american songs. Rooms are set up like most other karaōke places… they could use denser sound-proofing though. we could totally hear the other rooms singing. there are those fog/light machines that you could pay extra for like some noraebangs. Do note though: If you choose a room that has a mix of english and a foreign language, the song selections are VERY limited. We were in a viet/chinese/english room, and I wanted to sing Plain White T’s Hey There Delilah and that wasn’t in the book. nor was my friend’s choice of some popular Prince songs either. blah.
