Best place to recycle your bottles, cans and gallon containers! No huge line, plenty of barrels, and easy to separate. I always get the best price here! They are super friendly and polite. Conveniently located, lots of parking and good business hours. It’s a recycling center so I can’t really say much more but I don’t dread recycling anymore! Save the planet one can and bottle at a time!

The service overall at this location is good especially from the laborers. Let it be clear that I was misquoted a price over the phone from an Asian lady, I am fairly confident she is Vietnamese and, as a note, I have not problems with any race at all to be clear. I was misquoted a price by her on the phone for double of what I was given at this center. I requested to speak with her and it just so happens she was not there at the time, go figure. I would advise that if you are bringing in something other than just the usual cans and bottles to be cautious at this location. I feel one of the most frustrating business practices is dishonesty and from my experience today I cannot imagine bringing my recycling materials here again. They do a good job here. Pretty easy and pay good. The place is dirty but its not the Ritz Carlton so… Nice guys and good service. Also, they give a nice receipt for each category and its easy to get in and out. Wish they were open past 5

The name has changed but it seems the services have not, thankfully! My antiquated apartment complex doesn’t offer recycling services, so I have to save up my recyclables. I’ve always been forced to go to filthy facilities in sketchy areas where no one ever helped me, but this place is different! I was lucky enough to find it one day when my regular place in Long Beach was unexpectedly closed. I’m glad they were, though! This guys are professional, nice and helpful, and the facilities are CLEAN! This is a huge plus for me. There’s no gross, standing garbage-​water everywhere, or sketchy people who look like they might shank you if they met you in a dark alley. The area is relatively safe, and the grounds are kept well clean, along with the bins you put your recyclables in. This is my new go-​to place to recycle! :D

Just a heads up: this place has changed their name to Golden Recycling as the reviewer below me stated. Other than that, everything else is still the same and just as good.

Thank you Unilocalers for helping me find this place! They are no longer Son & Son’s but called Golden Recycling Co. I loved it here. no more manual labor, shoving cans, bottles, and plastic into a rundown machine only to have them spit out half of them as they can’t recognize… HELLO to huge containers you just fill up (separated of course) and they weigh and then pay! Definitely going back there when I have a bunch to recycle!

Sons and Sons is good for those who have copper, aluminum, etc… but do not bring all types of scrap metal here like steel, which they won’t take. kramer and the 91 does i believe.
If you’re strictly selling bottles, cans and glass, I prefer using the little guys because their overhead is WAY less than this guys. At Sons and Sons, you’re paying for a HUGE property with buildings and numerous employees so they’ll pay you less it looks like. my typical truckload yields about 25 – 30, but when i come here, i get about 17 – 20. Only a good option if you have copper, wiring, or batteries, etc. But even those don’t yield too much.
If you’re still coming, like to any recycle place, separate everything first. Even glass by the color.
Go in, park diagonally on the right, and grab the trash cans. the numbers on them tells the guy how much to subtract from the gross weight to give you a net weight.
the guy that works there doesn’t say one word usually. he does his math using a calculator and his head.

Close to home and good prices for our recycling needs. Please note that you should seperate all your cans, bottles, and water bottles before you go. We keep them in different garbage bags, so it was a piece of cake to fill the provided barrels to dump them. Be sure to bring gloves and crappy clothes. I little hard to turn around if you have a truck like I do, but if you back up past the gate, you can turn around easily. There is a lot of construction going on on Katella in that area, so be careful.

I’ve never actually been to a recycling center before so this was a first for me. The review by Teresa really helped me out in deciding to go. However, I didn’t have to back out of the place. Just drive in and reverse park (there’s a lot of space and you can park anywhere).
I’m definitely a girly girl and I didn’t realize how much work you have to put into this process. For anyone who’s never been, SEPARATE your cans from water bottles from etc before you go, it will make things MUCH easier on you. Don’t wear flip flops if you can (cause the floor is sticky) and wear «whatever» clothes (don’t go in with nice clothes on) because you need to put your cans in multipurpose bins and then bring them over to the scale.
One of the workers was very very nice and pulled the bins to the scale for me so I didn’t have to. As Teresa said, the Asian male at the cashier is of VERY few words. However, he was actually super nice. When I got there, I didn’t know what I was doing and he gave me a run through of what to do.
For anyone who wants to recycle their own materials for cash, I would HIGHLY recommend this place!

I’m an avid recycler and this is my place to do all of my recycling! I started up the recycling program at my job and so i tend to be the one who takes the time to actually do the grunt work (emptying the cans and bottles) so the guys that work here know me well! It never fails… I’m always greeted with big smiles and or waves from the 3 workers that I usually see. :) They are very helpful, efficient and bilingual. The Asian man that pays you at the end is a man of few words so don’t be offended. He’s a numbers guy…
This is a legit recycling CENTER. It’s not like the places parked in a shed outside of the 99cent only stores or in the parking lot of a grocery store. They actually recycle just about anything (like copper, metal, etc but not paper… not sure why) not just your cans and bottles.
I find that with the amount of bulk that I bring, they are the easiest and fastest way to get it done. A few tips:
* They only recycle bottles labeled a «1» so check the bottom of your items. A lot of juices come bottled in «5’s». They don’t accept those.
* They don’t accept bottles labeled a «1» if it doesn’t contain something drinkable or edible. I’ve tried with antibacterial bottles… so don’t bother
*No milk cartons
*No paper or card board
*Separate your items before you get here, they won’t do it for you. large loads go in the trash cans and small loads go in little green buckets located inside the building.
* Beer bottles welcome… wine bottle are a no go. Bummer b/​c I have a ton of wine bottles and the UK recycles them.
*They have a sink and soap for you to clean off your hands after.
*Bring your ID if you have enough recyclables that add up to over $ 50…it’ll be required. Anything less, don’t worry about.
And hopefully anyone pulling in knows how to drive backwards! They have parking spots on an angle and not much room to actually turn around (especially when it’s busy) so just be prepared to drive out the gates in reverse. There is room to turn around outside the gate.
