When a family friend passed away, I purposely sought out a local florist. I thought someone local would care and it is important to me to support small businesses. I did not see the flowers at the funeral and a family member told me they never saw them either. I called and spoke with the owner who quickly blamed the funeral home. He said they do not like him and regularly change the cards so that this happens. However, it became clear that he was not familiar with my order. After rummaging through his files, he figured out that he never made my arrangement. Now he blames his web service saying that he never received the order. I had received confirmation of my order and my credit card had been billed. I was feeling very uneasy by now. I asked for a refund and asked for assurance that my card would be credited the full amount. At this point the owner got angry and said I was questioning his character. Yes, I was feeling uneasy that perhaps this is something that happens and most people don’t realize their flowers never arrive. He hung up on me. So, after losing a family friend, my flowers are not sent, getting charged for these flowers, I now have to deal with a shop owner who is angry with me. On a positive note, I did receive the full charge credited back to my card. I don’t get to redo this situation.
