This place is pretty great if you’re in the neighborhood. I have to say, my mom and uncle and I got the best coffee milkshakes here after a long, hot hike at Wallace Falls and it really hit the spot. So maybe I’m a little biased, considering I was dying of thirst and hunger(we neglected to bring food or water — oops!). But, bias or not, I’d still recommend a visit if you’re around — it definitely seemed like the best in the area.

This place is a hidden GEM. It’s hard to imagine a shop that creates such creative confections tucked away in this tired little building, but alas, there it is! The ingredients chosen for their hand crafted caramels and chocolates range from run of the mill, to extraordinary and sometimes quite curious. So many of them are so beautifully decorated it seems almost a shame to take a bite. The décor is dated, and it feels like hanging out in grandmas family room. Not the fancy one with doilies for entertaining the bridge club and having tea parties. It was the living room for the family. Though not artsy or dynamic, it feels cozy, comfortable and somehow charming in it’s simplicity. The coffee is average(at least the ice blended type, that’s all I’ve tried) Definitely worth stopping in for some caramels! Also, you can lounge on the recliner with your laptop and take advantage of their free wi-fi :)

This was by far the worst coffee I have ever had in Western Washington. The lady had to ask our order like 3 times because she kept forgetting, she took an absurdly long amount of time to make the coffees. I had a Iced Cappuccino, it tasted like she tried to make it out of folgers instant coffee. It tasted horrible. The Big Train Chai mix was done ok, however, it’s a mix. If you screw up a chai mix, you should probably consider barrista sepuku. It’s rare in Washington you think«damn I should have just gone to a starbucks». This was one of those times.

Hand made chocolates to die for, especially the sea salt caramels. Hours can be a little unpredictable but definitely worth a stop if they are open.

The homemade chocolates and caramels from this place are amazing! From traditional to funky, everyone can find a flavor they will love. I’m still working my way through the goods(which are very rich so it will take some time) but so far my favorite has to be the sea salt caramels and the cayenne peach chocolate truffle.
