Very nice place!!! Beds were comfy, the hotel inside was very pretty! They even allow pets to stay! Collage kids everywhere outside till late at night but it’s still ok! They aren’t annoying or bad! The hotel is also close enough to everything! Very nice place to stay

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in April 2016. It was great. It’s nicer than most Days Inns. The only drawback is that breakfast is not included. This hotel has a great location. It’s an easy 3-block walk to the Corner Room restaurant. Easy 4-block walk to the diner with the grilled stickies. Easy 2-block walk to Panera Bread and many bars, stores and boutiques. Easy walk to campus, Old Main, The Wall, and most of the fraternities. The room is nice, and coffee is available in the room. Very good TV in the room. Wifi is free and worked OK. There is an indoor pool and fitness center, but I did not use them. There is no hot tub. Parking was handled well. Parking is free. You park your car in a garage or lot, located behind the hotel. This hotel is less expensive than most of the competition. We paid about $ 125 for our room(we stayed on a Tuesday through Thursday). The lobby is nice, the atrium is attractive although maybe a bit cheesy, and it’s a good thing that the popular Mexican restaurant is in the building. When I return to State College I will certainly want to stay here again. I recommend it.

I am pleased with my stay at the Days Inn Penn State. The location is perfect. You can walk to anywhere in downtown State College with ease. Parking is free and spaces were plentiful. Checking in and out was a breeze. The free wifi was fast enough to let me catch up on a few shows on Hulu without buffering. There wasn’t a free continental breakfast but room service is available, provided by Mad Mex. You get a $ 1 off breakfast coupon when you check in so I ordered the Centre breakfast special, which came with some of the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had. I didn’t use the indoor swimming pool or the fitness center but the areas looked clean and sufficient enough to get a sweat on. The hotel let us have a 2pm late checkout, which was awesome. Most importantly, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. The Days Inn Penn State is a little more expensive than similar hotels in the area but I would definitely stay here again.

The room was very disappointing! The rug was damp the bathroom was not very clean. I was not aware that the hotel allowed pets, I have a bad allergy to cats. The staff at the front desk told me that there were no pet free rooms! There were also no parking spaces when I arrived. The whole visit was frustrating. I had only booked one night thankfully because I would have never spent anymore time there. I will not return and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If I could give zero stars I would.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and the location really couldn’t be more convenient to the main strip and the campus at State College. The bed was extremely comfortable and if I wasn’t booked solid for the entire weekend, I could have easily slept through the day. There was a bright atrium in the center of the hotel and free parking for guests, which was great because it meant we didn’t have to go far for our car. There was a hiccup regarding the key cards(they just stopped working on Saturday evening), but the front desk was able to create a couple of new ones for us right away. Additionally, the water temperature in the bathroom was very indecisive; even with the tap turned on hot, it would shoot cold water for a few seconds at random moments.

Location, location, location. Days Inn at State College is at the center of it all. When you walk in you are greeted to a somewhat decent reception area, free coffee, which isn’t always stocked, and a gorgeous atrium. There may or may not be a line to check in, but mind you, you will be greeted with a friendly smile. Staff is cordial, but are known to be a little, and are bound to make a mistake or two. It nice that you get free parking as you stay at the Days Inn. Days Inn is also moderately expensive, has a fitness center, and hosts a Mad Mex on site. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, and the bathrooms are adequate. However, the water tempreture in the bathroom fluctuates so rapidly that you may not want to take a shower for that long. My go to hotel for state college. May check out the Atherton for my next stay.

Not a bad choice for a place to stay while in State College. The lobby was stunning complete with an atrium and large high-back chairs. Perfect for relaxing, drunk people watching or breezing through a few chapters of a book. The hotel offers free wifi(which was surprisingly fast), complimentary coffee(which taste like water and simply awful) and a shuttle bus to the airport. The room I checked into was cozy. Nothing too fancy. Strangely, all of the lampshades were crooked and off center. King sized bed, chair with ottoman and a small desk with cheap pleather chair for office work. The TV was a cheap Panasonic(w/o HDMI cable) so no hi-def. But that’s why we have iPads. Room had a microwave for popcorn and mini fridge for stashing beers. There was a bottle shop right next door also a Mad Mex(which was clutch for their Happy Hora). The elevators smelled like rotting boot, so that’s that. 3 out of 5 stars, respectively. The pros outmatched the cons. But just barely.

The location of this hotel can’t be beat– it’s the best location in State College because it’s centrally located. We were so happy to learn that this location is DOGFRIENDLY! You can reach any of the bars and it’s not a far walk to Beaver Stadium, Rec Hall, the BJC or Pegula Ice Arena(you can, of course, take a cab or the White or Blue Loop if you’re heavily opposed to walking to one of the sporting events). I love that the hotel is connected to Mad Mex, one of the best bars in State College. You can even order room service from Mad Mex! I was worried about staying here based on Days inn’s general reputation. We came up for a weeknight for my husband to attend a few business meetings. The room was upscale and clean. The staff was friendly and the room was well-equipped with a microwave, safe, complimentary water and a coffee machine. This will definitely be our go-to hotel from here on out. Perfect for families, campus visitors or alumni.

Nice place for a college town our room was better than I expected. The location is great very walkable to everything, stadiums etc. Free parking for guests. For some reason the doors to the Mad Mex weren’t functioning from the hotel so we had to walk around the building to eat. But ohter than that it was a nice stay.

This is a good place to stay in state college as the location is excellent for access to downtown and the college. The rooms are clean. The lobby is nice for working. There is a decent restaurant next door called Mad Mex. The only disappointment is the anemic gym and tiny pool.

Will never stay at this property again. The woman at the front desk was rude and unprofessional. No people skills! When I asked for the manager, I was told that she would not be in for hours. Left my number, but no surprise was not called. They are not the only game in town. Mixup with our reservation. Was given one night, not two. Good luck finding a room on a Saturday night with a small dog! Travelled 9 hours for our son’s presentation. Was not treated nicely and left without a place to stay. Bad experience all around.

Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay without the huge price tag. If you want to be in the middle of town with everything in walking distance, this is a good choice. The bathroom cleanliness was impressive. The parking lot fills up quickly. We would stay here again.

Pleasantly surprised… decent Days Inn with a cute western themed happy hour party and good apps/free drinks on a football Friday. Our room seemed recently renovated in the living/sleeping area though the bathroom needed some major TLC. Comfy small pillows and pretty good double beds. Had rollaway beds for $ 20/night. Pool was cold at 9am — even the kids could only stand about 20 minutes. Major draw is the location — can walk everywhere.

This is not your typical Days Inn. The lobby is gorgeous, the staff is courteous and its very clean! I’ve stayed in some 4 – 5 star hotels, and this hotel is on par with them when it comes to cleanliness and attention to detail. You’re not going to get 1000 thread count sheets and down pillows, but it is clean and comfortable. Located right in the heart of the town and a short walk to the bars. If this were the norm, and not the exception for Days Inn hotels, I’d stay at them more frequently. Kudos to the manager and staff for a job well done.

I stay here twice a year for career fairs. It used to be pretty dumpy, but they made some nice renovations recently to spruce it up a bit. I think they’re trying to be more modern with this lime green accent wall and abstract chairs. Conclusion: simple room, cleanliness is more like a 3.5, and I’m happy with it. Will continue to stay here.

I hope I get a room here for next years PSU games. The inside look almost like your in The Venetian in Vegas(I’m exaggerating a bit but you’ll know what I’m talking about when you see it). Days Inn is located in a GREAT location in State College. By far the best location in State College. All you would have to do is park your car and you’ll be set until you leave. Unfortunately I will not be able to review the room but the front desk people were very nice. There’s always a fresh pot of coffee and/or tea waiting for you. I figured all of this out just by walking in the hotel to use their bathroom. Wish me luck because I would love to get a room here next year.

I’ve been here twice. It’s comfortable and decently furnished.(Come on, it’s a Days Inn, what do you expect?) They have a swimming pool(which I’ve never used), a Mad Mex that you can get to right from the lobby(which I have used, several times), as well as a Brewsky’s Bottle Shop(which I also have used, notice a pattern?). It’s walking distance from College Avenue and is quite inexpensive to stay there. They have free wireless Internet, which worked fine for me! Recommended since it’s clean and conveniently near everything.
