Three burgers ordered — the all american burger has two ½ pound patties and all the fries you can eat [they were salted and peppered, nice touch]. The burgers are not frozen patties, they’re fresh and cooked the way they are supposed to be… medium has some pink inside and juicy. I substituted onion rings instead of fries … they were really good [not home made, but good] the big ones that are all one big onion. If I had one complaint it was they put the lettuce tomato and onion on the burger, they should always be on the side! Other than that it was a VERY VERY good dinner.

My daughter goes to PSU. We went here for lunch. We were really pleased with our meals. Sandwiches, fries, salad and soup were all really good. Service was good, possibly because place was not crowded (we went on off hour). Price point was good. We will definitely go back again.

Everything seemed unorganized. Food was okay but the service needs some work. Beers poured ¾ the way full, menus left in a stack on the table, took 30 minutes to order food after the drinks, food brought out at weird times. Has potential but really needs some work. Also several spelling errors in the menu.

Nice place and friendly staff, but the service was pretty lax. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. The loaded potato soup was tasty, which it could have been more then just warm. If I’m in State College, this won’t be my first stop for food.

Had a great meal in the bar area! Several TVs on each wall. Burgers and fries were great! My husband got the fish and chips and really liked that as well. The cheese sticks and wings were great appetizers. We had been here when it was still Damon’s and were really pleased with the changes!

First time here, decided to give it a go based on the reviews so, here goes.
Very friendly staff
Very clean, very comfortable.
The 2 of us sat in the bar area.
Here’s what we had.
Pretzel app was only fair and we won’t get it again.
6 wings: Buffalo style. I’m sorry but not good at all. To us anyway. Bland and not enough sauce. Our opinion.
½ order of house salad: fresh and good.
Cup of Loaded Baked Potato soup was excellent.
I ordered the burger they call «The Junior».
I was not disappointed whatsoever.
This thing was great and I certainly would order it again. (Came with plenty of fries)
I agree with the other Unilocalers, Lettermans appears to have a very good understanding on how to make a burger.
TV’s everywhere.
Nice place.
We will go back, but not for their wings, at least not the «Buffalo» style anyway nor their pretzels.
3 stars.
Not enough positives to earn 4 but if you want a burger, a very good burger, come here.

A wonderful atmosphere! The service was excellent and the food was even better. The wait time for our food was extremely long though. I had the shrimp po boy (really good), a couple chicken sandwiches (also told very good), and a back n blue burger (also told was very good).

I’m not a «sports bar» type, but this really does have the best burgers in town. They actually cook it MEDIUM-​RARE when you ask, rather than putting out well-​done like every other place in town.
You can pass on the ribs and anything with grilled chicken on top (my chicken was pretty dry and tasteless), but the Shrimp Po-​boy is great! And BURGERS.

I wanted to like this. I did. Can always use another place with broad menu appeal. That said…
We went at an off-​peak time. Our waitress even commented that we were lucky that we missed the lunch rush. Despite that, the service was only okay, at least two flubs, although corrected reasonably quickly. My sandwich was delicious, but of my two dining companions, one’s dish was terrible and the other’s was mediocre. The fries did not seem fresh. My sandwich was really good, but that’s not a very good hit-​to-​miss ratio in a town with so many other places serving pub food. Might try again sometime, if so, will update.

The renovations are awesome and the food is so much better. I think people still think that the inside and the food will be like the old Damon’s and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. I have been in here multiple times and have not been disappointed. A great selection of beers and there are tons of nice, large flat screens everywhere with all sports packages. Plenty of parking and the closest place to the stadium and the Bryce Jordan and very close to College Ave.

This place seems to be getting a bad rap on Unilocal,and thank goodness that I tried this place for my self! The beer is ice cold and the bartenders are great and the food is excellent! Letterman’s is a best burger in town!

It’s a disappointment when you order bruschetta and the tomatoes are not even ripe… it’s July find some ripe tomatoes. Ordered a black and blue burger I don’t think there was anything black or blue about it. Tasted like they forgot the seasoning and used provolone cheese. My wife had the fish tacos. She couldn’t even stomach one down. Server was «new» which was code for I don’t know anything about the menu or this place in general. Big disappointment on a location that could be great.

Enjoyed a late dinner at LettermanS and everything was great and our server Chris was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu and able to make good suggestions.
The nacho appetizer was huge and included good toppings, and for dinner I had the Steamboat Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich and it was delicious. Definitely get a side of ranch dressing on the side if that’s your thing — it tastes like it is made in-​house and was awesome.
The menu has some great items that I look forward to going back to try, and the prices are very reasonable. LettermanS definitely has potential to be a great restaurant and sports bar especially during the football season with such a prime location near Beaver Stadium. I will definitely be back!

The service was and friendly. The waiter was knowledgeable and able to suggest great options. The restaurant is excellent and looks great. The food was top notch as well. I highly recommend the French onion soup, it was easily the best I have had. I got the ribs and wings combo and our server suggested the blueberry hot sauce. It was sweet with a nice kick and it didn’t disappoint. The ribs were great as well. I definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to go back to try some more dishes.
