I am always a fan of Panera. There recipes are consistent and the staff is usually competent. The State College Panera was a little different. The sitting area was dirty and you had to go get your own food… at every other Panera I’ve been to, the food is brought out to you. Again, the food is always good so there will be a return visit!

I love Panera!!! As other people have mentioned the lunch and dinner lines seems really intimidating but the wait is never actually that long. Other than that I t’s a typical Panera. The sandwiches and bread bowls are amazing, free wifi, a little pricey for lunch but I think the food is worth it.

There are a few items that I crave every once in a while(mac and cheese, chicken salad sandwich) but lately all the sandwiches are very sloppily assembled and there is no silverware or butter out so I have to ask for it. Obviously since it’s a chain they cannot control the prices but it’s a bit pricey for the assembly and presentation of the food.

Very busy and noisy location and I always find it to be dirty. The bakery section always looks empty, dirty and nothing looks fresh. The hot beverage section is always low and dirty as well. This location is to dirty looking for me. Don’t like it and definitely don’t recommended.

The bread bowls here are delicious! I always order broccoli cheddar soup in a sourdough bread bowl. It’s only 5 $ and it’s really filling and if you crave bread, you get the bowl, the top of the bowl AND you get a free side(which is usually another roll) with your order. BREADONBREADONBREAD! I tried their Cobb salad once and found myself hungry after especially since I was starving since morning. I suggest maybe a salad/tea for a light lunch and maybe the bread bowl when you are ready to eat someone. Tips: Get a Panera card ASAP so you can get a free cookie/beverage like very week. It takes 1 minute to sign up and you rack up points easy. :)

Panera is always great. The food is fresh and you pay for what you get. The only downside to Panera is the layout is somewhat confusing /overwhelming for people when they go here for the first time. Every time I’m there I see customers getting in the wrong line(one line is strictly for baked goods/coffee) or taking forever to order because of the choices. The way the line snakes through the store keeps customers from being able to comfortably read the menu board. I would suggest that Panera place a menu board so those in line can decide what they want and then they’ll be ready. Overall, I’m saying better signage for where customers order the food they want and better signage for those waiting in line. Other than that, I enjoy the food which, lets face it, is the main part of the experience.

Panera is a solid choice for lunch in State College if you’re in a hurry and don’t want something greasy. The line at lunchtime may be intimidating, but these people are pros. I have been to several other Panera locations and have never seen one so capable at churning through customers. Even at noon on a Wednesday I can get in, eat, and get out in under 30 minutes.

It’s Panera Bread. If you have been to one, you know what to expect. If you haven’t, envision your local bakery and coffee shop scaled to serve the masses. The broccoli and cheese soup and the Sierra Turkey sandwich combo is good, but predictable. The cinnamon chip bagels are tasty. Coffee refills, free wi-fi, and plenty of seating make Panera a place that I go for meetings away from the office.

After moving away from State College to a city without Panera, I find that I love Panera more than ever. I always get their veggie café sandwich. The bread is so delicious and the veggies are so fresh. Their balsamic vinaigrette is insanely and addictively good so I usually get that on the side. I also highly recommend their strawberry smoothie and chocolate croissants. When I was in college I occasionally liked to go their to study or work on papers because of the calm atmosphere and free wireless. This particular Panera is always kept clean and the service is fast. I would recommend it!

Thursday = Indigo Friday = The Mezz/The Den/GMan Saturday = Bar Bleu Sunday mornings = Panera. The hangover cure = broccoli cheddar soup and caesar salad. …food coma ensues, return to bed. Welcome to a State College weekend.

The difference between this Panera and others I’ve been to is the sheer volume of customers they go through on a football Saturday. I was impressed with how the line was kept moving, the food was prepared quickly(and well) and the coffee pots were kept full. This is my typical breakfast spot when in town and they have never disappointed or kept me waiting.

Used this location for catering, I thought it seemed kind of dirty inside compared to others and no one offered to help me carry my order or hold the door(not that busy either!). Food was excellent as always. GETTHEMACANDCHEESE!!!

If you want great artisanal bread while you’re in State College, you go to Panera. It’s kind of like an upscale casual bakery café(chain). I loved Hearty Cheese Soup in Sourdough Bread Bowl and their Broccoli Cheddar Soup is amazing too. Pretty spacious and can get packed on the weekends when parents visit their sons and daughters.

Panera’s are pretty much all the same. The service is always excellent and the food is amazing. Never had any issues with this place. Highly recommend for lunch or a place just to grab a coffee/tea and fresh made bread(of course) or sweets. Highly recommend.

I love Panera. They’re food items are delicious and you can never go wrong with any of the items. I would say it’s a little pricey for lunch and not as healthy as I originally thought.(Pretty high on Weight watchers points even for a salad) The lines get long during the lunch rush but it moves pretty fast. There is metered parking across the street. There are actually 2 lines that exist. No one really tells you but the one on the right is just pastries&coffee and sometimes you can order lunch. But the main is the one closest to the food preparers. They’re usually good at substitutions and they offer a myPanera card that’s great for regulars like myself.

One of the most disappointing things about Panera is their extreme waste. Also, if you have a question, don’t bother calling because they never answer the phone.

I didn’t get a chance to eat here but from walking in, it seems like a cool place to just chill and relax. Their pastries looked fresh and what I really liked about this Panera Bread is their outside seating.
