Great service, great food, great portion and great price. The only downside is that seating is not enough, but you can always get it to go. Definitely recommend this place ~

Got the chicken wrap with feta cheese as I was passing through wasn’t sure what to expect but it was actually very good big portions for not too much. Definately recommend

ordered the chicken wrap — was dark meat chicken that was cooked and deboned by the employees — this means they boiled it and tore off the chicken themselves. that is fine, however, they left a bunch of pieces of fat and it was mostly dark chicken meat(leg and thigh pieces) really looked dirty and the lumpy pieces of fat were disgusting. I felt bad because i spent $ 12 on one meal and really do not like throwing food away — but i did with this place. NOTATALLLIKE other kebab places because other places use white chicken meat and cut it off the clean rotating kebab. same meat as your local asian restaurant that is chewy and all rib meat, not breast meat

Very good place to eat here & you can’t beet the price. My wife and I usually get a beef Kebab. We also try to split it since it’s so big. Great place to eat.

The space of the restaurant is too small to eat inside. The amount of food is big and the price is not high. The taste is just OK.

I’ve eaten here twice. The food here is ok, very nice yogurt sauce. Meat was kind of dry, not very flavorful. Also the person who took my order did seem very happy the first time I was here and the second time was downright rude to me. I won’t be returning here after that.

My first ever handmade Greek wrap. Large portions enabled us to share and it was delicious! Try the chicken

I decided to swing by Penn Kebab today to grab some quick food, and ordered a kebab box. The portions were great! A large serving of fries(which were pretty yummy) and ton of kebab meat — at least 2⁄3 of a cup. The yogurt sauce on top was good but there wasn’t enough of it. Service was good too, the man who took my order came to me quickly and was very courteous. What brings my rating down from a 4 is that the meat, the centerpiece of the dish, wasn’t that delicious. It tastes kind of cheap, and isn’t something I’ll come back to Penn Kebab for. In a sandwich, enhanced by more sauces and vegetables and other things, I’m sure it’d do just fine. All in all if a friend wanted to go to Penn Kebab, I’d say fine. If they asked me where I wanted to eat though, Penn Kebab would be saved for a rare«I need some variety» day.

I love this place! Is a very tiny place. Do not go expecting to seat with a group of people because thats not possible. But you can order a «wrap» in fresh just made arabic pita bread! They are very fast preparing your food. They usually have falafel, meat, chicken and veggies. Please! Tell them to give you an additional yogurt sauce! I like the people! Enjoy!

This a pretty cheap place with good food. It’s obviously not a nice sit down dinner type of place, but they have good quality meats and middle eastern food. The portions are quite big for the money. You pay $ 8 – 9 and you get a full lunch/dinner.

The food is very fresh and delicious. I tried the Falafel wrap, cheese pide, kunefe dessert, and the yogurt ayran drink. The falafel wrap is huge! Very delicious and flavorful, they make the wrap from fresh dough, and bake it, and that took the whole wrap to a next level of yumminess! The cheese pide is also very big, and also from a fresh dough, and they bake it in the shop. The lady suggested to add eggs to it and it was a great suggestion. The dessert is warm, fresh and authentic! Just like the kunefe you would taste in Turkey and the Middle East, very delicious! The yogurt Ayran drink was the perfect complement to this whole yummy meal. The service was great! The lady and staff are very nice, she even offered me some very yummy tea while I was waiting for my order to go, which also was done fast. Everything about this experience is excellent!

Tried it for the first time. Ordered a beef kebab plate with fries and salad to go. Guy who accepted my payment was super friendly. Serving size was great, probably busted my calorie count for the week. The beef was flavourful and tender. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. It took the guy less than 3 minutes to get my order ready. I live nearby so by the time I got home my food was still warm. So going back there for more grub. If you haven’t tried it and have been giving it some thought, you definitely should just go for it.

These guys make the wraps fresh and in front of you after you order. Result? The wrap is pretty amazing; 5⁄5 on the wraps. The meat? Don’t know. Falafel is decent and maybe I am just not a big falafel kind of guy. I do like the toppings they put on but I can’t honestly say it stands out from other experiences. I tried the Turkish pizza and it was definitely interesting. I am not sure if I honestly like it or not, but I did like it after I had a few to drink…

Very good Kebabs. Passing through SC and needed a quick filling meal. Got the Kebab Plate and the Iskender Kebab Plate and it hit the spot! Very tasty. I agree with others that doner meat can be a little dry but that’s why yogurt sauce exists! The tomato sauce in the Iskender was new for me but also very tasty — I loved the chance to try something new. Overall, not as spicy as it might be but still very flavorful. Only downside was the limited seating on a warm summer night(it is VERY small place — clearly carry out for most) so we went downstairs where there are cafeteria-style tables. It was clear that they hadn’t been wiped down by anyone for days but we managed with some water and a few napkins.

Tried the chicken kebab plate with bulgur rice. It was pretty good. The chicken gyro wrap was also good. One thing I’m not sure about is the bone-like thing I found in both the chickens. It was a little disturbing. Otherwise still an OK place for gyros. Chicken is still dry but the yogurt/fries help with that.

Penn Kebab is my jam. First, you get to see them make the yufka right in front of you. Second, all of their other ingredients are incredibly fresh too. Third? That hot sauce. My regular is the beef yufka kebab #3. Why? Because the number 3 comes with fries on it! I. They pile the yufka up with beef döner kebab, fries that are usually made to order, lettuce, tomato, onion, and their yogurt sauce, and plenty of hot sauce(you have to request it). Frankly, I don’t know how they get that bad boy wrapped up, but God in heaven, they do it. It’s a sturdy meal, but at $ 8, it’s also sturdily priced for street food. I’d like to see a cheaper, smaller size offered in addition for those times when I want to feel like I’ve eaten half a brick instead of an entire brick. In toto, Penn Kebab is definitely worth stopping by. My Turkish friends have also raved about that kebab plates, which I assume are just a less-readily handheld version of their yufka kebabs.

Sigh… I really like kebabs and shawarma. Throughout my life, I’ve had tons and tons of gyros and greek spots, kebabs and various Afghan restaurants, and shawarma plates. Sadly, Penn Kebab does not bring back those fond memories that I had. Penn Kebab is located pretty conveniently close to campus, right near the corner of Shortidge and College. This place is pretty much a grab and go kind of spot, as there is no place to eat inside or outside the«restaurant.» For $ 7, you will get a gyro wrap. It’s stuffed with the typical things that you’d fine in a gyro, but everything in this wrap is bland as hell. There is barely any flavor, and the meat is just flat out dry. I tried to give this place a shot on another occasion, but yet again, it proved to be dry and just not that tasty. On the plus side, they do make their own bread, made to order. Sadly, the bread alone cannot save a dying meal. Penn Kabab is definitely not for me. For $ 7, you can just get a much better meal in State College. The portions here aren’t large, so if you want some better gyro wraps and kebab, go to Pita Cabana.
