I have been waiting for a call to schedule my MRI at a different location. The original appointment was great but the staffs communication is very poor!

Their«surgical center» is a small clinic where orthopedic surgery is constantly performed(feet, shoulders, etc.). This is not a hospital, so there is no crash unit of the sort medical facilities need in case of a serious complication. On top of that, the facilities are tiny: the waiting room is smallest than my dentist’s office; there is nothing for relatives who are waiting(no cafeteria area, no WiFi, nothing). This place is a throwback to the 1950s. The nurses and clerical people are nice enough; but some of the doctors are simply beyond the pale(especially Barter, who is always late for surgery by several hours). Regardless, keep in mind the risk one assumes when having surgery(with real anesthesia and so forth) at a small clinic, instead of a real hospital.

If you are looking for the best orthopedic care in Central Pennsylvania, look no further! From the receptionists to the nurses to the Doctors all give you the same professional courtesy and care. I have had gel injections in my knees, and once they didn’t work, they scheduled me for my first knee replacement. Since 2012, these people have unfortunately became a great part of my life, and I am fortunate they are there to have helped me.

Had a great experience with their walk in clinic when I hurt myself pretty bad. However when I went back for a follow up a week later to see the regular doctor during their normal business hours, I had quite the opposite experience. Instead of seeing the doctor, I saw his Physician Assistant. He was very rude, treated me like a fast food hamburger, and very poor bedside manner. I found him to be very unhelpful and unsympathetic as well, he didn’t listen to me at all it was like he was just thinking about the next patient. I was on crutches and in a boot and he shut the door behind him and left me in there as I struggled to let myself out! My visit was basically a waste of time and a quick and unnecessary copay for their office. If you want someone who cares about your injury, who is willing to spend time explaining what is going on with it, and who won’t slam the door in your face, I wouldn’t suggest using UOC… or at least not the physician’s assistant I saw!

I tried to get an appointment; been a patient for more than 10 years. Kim refused to make an appointment. She told me to go to the emergency room! I do not understand where customer service or health care is heading. Kim was very rude.
