The two stars are only because she was super nice. That being said I totally regret paying for my hair/​makeup for me and ny two bridesmaids. For one, we had an appointment at her shop at 10:30. We couldn’t find it being we are from out of town. And we call her. Come to find out she was working on another bride. Mind you it was 10:22. She showed up at almost 11. NeArly 30 minutes late. then alone!!! No team. just her. I do makeup for a living as a side job. Needless to say none of us got the hairstyles we wanted. Our makeup was nit good. I had to use the 5 minytes soare time before getting into my gown to correct it. I was sooooo dissappointed. Nit worth the money. She was late. rushed and didn’t do what was asked. I could have done it all better myself sadly. I would not reccommend her to anyone. The worst part was she didn’t even apologize for being late. Uggggg! Wedding was beautiful and I was only after I corrected her shotty makeup job. P. s.calm down on the hairspray!!!

I really wish I had read these reviews before booking Annette for my wedding. Like the other reviews, I had contacted Annette via email and one or two telephone conversations. I also had tons of pictures and even a how-​to video that I had emailed her to show what we wanted on our wedding day. She responded saying that she loved the pics and had done these styles before. She lied!
My sister and I both wanted ‘40s style hair (like the one described in Kelly G.‘s review) and the two mom’s just needed a style on their short hair. When my mother in law came out unhappy from her hairstyle I was surprised. Later I discovered that Annette hadn’t listened to ANY of her input. Ugh. We practically had to beg my mother-​in-​law to come back into our room to do the makeup session.
All of our make-​up looked the same — horrible. It was cake-​y, way too light and not fitting for our individual faces. My sister (MOH) brought in the pics we sent her and showed Annette the stark difference before she did my hair or makeup. Annette couldn’t see what was wrong. Not professional.
She struggled to get my veil on right, raising her voice to me when I asked her to move it back. After we asked for changes, Annette was disrespectful, rude at times and very unprofessional.
Thank God for my sister’s skills. Otherwise the whole party would’ve looked horrible for my big day.

Again… why is it that people are providing a service or are in a service oriented business and seem to be in a hurry. It’s as if everyone is just too busy for you these days. I heard ‘I have a client right after you so I have to move along quickly.” Is that really my problem? Someones poor scheduling and organization is really not my problem. Give me a break. This was my day and being short with my family because God forbid they might have a finger in the way does not give anyone the right to be snippy or rude. Again. This is my happy day.
Yeah the end result of my hair was not what was in the picture. The picture had a soft look about it, and was simply gorgeous. Ummm yeah I was given the low budget version of that picture.
My make up??? Oh yes I chose to have my make up done. I’m not sure what that was about, but I really should have just done it myself. I expected a flawless finish using some kind of better quality make up. I don’t know what was done but I was not flawless. Little effort and time was spent on the make up. I got the low budget version again, and before dressing into my wedding dress… had to touch up!
The one positive thing… cause I do have a positive. Wait I have 2 positive things. She was punctual, and my hair did not move. Didn’t matter if there was a gust of wind, or a whip quick kiss by hubby… my hair did not leave it’s position all day. Good hairspray!

Brides beware! I contacted Annette via e-​mail and sent her several samples of pictures of the hair style that I wanted and my bridesmaids. I wanted two victory curls (a 1940’s hair style) and simple curls on the bottom. My bridesmaids wanted pin curls (also a vintage hair style. She lied through her teeth and said not only that she knew how to do my hair style but that she had done this style before. I had a trial and was not happy with the results. She told me that if I didn’t use her for my wedding she would charge me $ 20 a head cancellation fee (me and four bridesmaids). I thought a trial meant that you would be able to decide after seeing the trial but she threatened to charge my credit card. I decided to e-​mail her some more pictures and be more specific on my appoinment day. On my wedding day all of my bridesmaids were comming back one at a time each one with hair styles that looked like shirly temple curls just awful! (only one turned out semi-​decent but nothing like the picture). They each complianed and said that they were not happy but she refused to make it right (honestly she just didn’t know how to do the style that we wanted). My hair turned out awful looked like an alien with a huge bump in one side and pulled back hair on the other. I kept asking her to make it right and she just didn’t know what to do so I left. I went back to my hotel and my friends were all gasping at how horrible I looked. My bridesmaid ended up taking apart my $ 85 hair style and completley re-​doing my hair before the ceremony– making us late. Oh yeah and to top it all off she scheduled us from 10 – 2:30 for four of us and then at the last minute planned to travel to another (in between our appointments) to do another woman’s hair! Run Run Run far away this woman is a rip off !
