Image Angels

I cried when I got my wedding photos. Actually cried. I have seen such amazing photos of other couples on their wedding day and on other occasions done by Image Angels, but mine turned out terribly. I had asked Karen if we should do the bridesmaids and groomsmen pictures a couple of hours before the ceremony so that we had time to complete all of them, but she assured me that she didn’t need that much time and that 45 min to an hour is plenty of time to get all of the shots in.
When the ceremony was over and we were taking our pictures with family and the bridal party, about 50% of the time was spent posing, stiffly, in front of a fireplace. I wanted pictures outside too. I understand that I said I wanted pictures of my family and they weren’t going to go outside, but it didn’t need to be for 30 minutes of the same picture over and over and over. When we finally did go outside she was so hesitant to do anything fun. It was just a bunch of walking and posing in the same area in front of the lake. There were maybe 10 pictures of my husband and I… and only 2 that I liked!
When we got the pictures back it didn’t seem like many were edited. I honestly believe that her idea of editing was hitting the «auto-​lighten» function on Photoshop.
I don’t feel like this is how her pictures normally turn out, because I have seen other, beautiful pictures on her Facebook and her website, but I am just so heartbroken that this is how mine turned out. She must have been having a really «off» day and it’s so unfortunate that it was for my wedding.
She had an assistant with her that actually asked me on occasion what I wanted and he was AWESOME. He even took pictures of our rings and of my shoes at the end of the night when they were supposed to have left because I wanted those pictures.
Note to all brides who are having destination weddings: please go and meet the people that you are employing to make your day perfect. Pictures are especially so important and you almost need a more personal relationship rather than just a phone relationship to make sure everything is done right.

We chose Image Angels for two reasons: the photography samples we saw were really good and the price was just right. They will work with you if you are on a budget and you can even make payments. The day of the wedding there were two photographers which was a huge plus because one photographer was capturing candid moments while the other was capturing the more serious posed pictures. They made a point to take photos of everyone who attended the wedding and even took couple shots! Really enjoyed them and they were nice and easy going.

The businesses along and around Tamarack Avenue will always be prosperous from both tourists and locals because their cabin-​like buildings are just so charming and welcoming to be in.
Karen, the owner, is friendly and makes her guests feel comfortable when taking photos. Along with having experience in photographing humans, she also can get your dog to smile for the camera. She’s very dog friendly and generous with the treats!
