Injured my knee while on a ski trip to lake tahoe. Went to the closest urgent care facility (corner of hwy 50 and hwy 207). The entire staff was so friendly and accomodating. I got in fast (within 7 min of arriving) and nurses and doctors alike all were patient and friendly and took there time so i did not feel rushed. Dr. Rork was funny and explained everything. Unfortunately appears i have a blown ACL but regardless the best medical service levels i have ever experienced.

I work for an HMO and was on vacation in Lake Tahoe. My daughter had a significant fever that was not controlled with Tylenol or Motrin. After consulting our advice nurses, I checked with our hotel front desk for the location of the nearest urgent care clinic. Dr Rork’s medical office was recommended. When we arrived at the clinic, a smiling faced medical assistant greeted us and took our insurance information. Within 10 minutes, we were in the exam room and within another 5 minutes Dr Rork arrived with a kind, friendly smile. Dr Rork seemed very relaxed and comforting, which helped put my husband and me at ease. Dr Rork was unaffected by my screaming daughter and spoke kindly and softly to her as he examined her. He quickly came to a diagnosis and also explained how she probably got to where she was. Dr Rork prescribed and antibiotic and gave us timeframes for when we should see improvement. He also gave us symptoms to look out for and asked that we call him if questions came up, as he was also working the following day. Thanks a million Dr Rork for your wonderful bed-​side manner and for taking great care of our daughter!
