Thank you Temple Bat Yam for welcoming my family during our visits to South Tahoe. It was truly special spending Passover week with you in 2013 as well as the erev Shabbat before my son’s Bar Mitzvah this year. Bat Yam is a beautiful temple in a beautiful setting. Services are musical and uplifting and Rabbi Evon Yakar is learned and inspiring. A wonderfully warm and friendly community.

Temple Bat Yam of South Lake Tahoe is a Reform Synagogue affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) and easily located on the Pioneer Trail. As with other small Jewish Communities, all levels of observance and involvement are welcome. And since we’re within a resort community, things are casual, diverse, welcoming, and with an Adventure Rabbi thrown in as bonus. Expect to be outdoors and be spiritually and naturally amazed and challenged.
