Well, I’ve ordered a few times now. The last two times was just awful. Beef skewers were so dry I called to have fresh ones delivered. Coconut rice had no flavor to it. Duck was dry with barely any meat that was edible. Re-thinking whether I should be calling to get delivery from here anymore. Too bad.

Tried to get lunch delivery service. The person over the phone was mean and not helpful and yelled at me over the phone because their menu via Unilocal didn’t have the prices listed. I went with 3 guys sushi instead and they were great!

I will never order from here again. I ordered a bento box with steak teriyaki and what I got was not steak it was old and spoiled. I called to let them know and they told me I was wrong that the steak is good and that it was my fault that I didnt eat the food right away so that’s why it spoiled. I lost $ 13 and had to order food from another place to feed my 1 year old son. Terrible service and dangerous food.

Our usual Thai spot. Not crazy about the Chinese food, honestly. But the pad Thai and pad see ew are some of our favorite things to order. They always really hit the spot when we’re hungry. The iced tea selections are great too. When we order delivery the food always comes super quick and everyone is always really friendly.

The Mango bubble tea actually tasted like real tea(a good thing and a rare thing). The Pad See Yeu was good. The Alaskan roll(sushi) okay. The vegetable dumpling soup was okay. I love the vibe in this place. My friend and I found it relaxing and cutely decorated. Also, the portions are large.

I like this place. I love their food and the sushi is amazing. Just wish they served alcohol too that will be icing on the cake.

The price of items in this place is a plus. I ordered the tempura calimari roll which was excellent. I didnt feel the same for the tuna and avocado roll. The fish was far from fresh. But i guess that sushi may not be their specialty.

I too used to be a fan of Bay House. I regularly ordered maki rolls and standard Chinese fare. But not now. I won’t be returning. Phone orders arrive and the food doesn’t resemble the items ordered. For example, my corn soup didn’t have corn. My Moo shu dish came with huge, soft pieces of cabbage, instead of the charred strands that are supposed to be there. When today’s order was wrong, they offered nothing to make the situation better. Why pay for items I didn’t order? Instead, I think I’ll move on.

Decent chinese. I had the ginger and scallion beef with shrimp fried rice an egg roll a hot and sour soup and a thai tea with millk. the beef was surprisingly tender and well flavored altho the sauce was a bit watery. The shrimp fried rice was actually the best ive had both on and off the island and the egg roll and thai tea were pretty tasty. the soup was gross at best… unfortunately, i also ordered several sushi rolls and hand rolls. they were all disgusting. each and everyone was rolled horribly, they were actually falling apart they were so loosely rolled… the fish as in the eel and tuna and shrimp tempura were NOT fresh at all. I ended up throwing it all out a complete waste of $ 40 just on sushi alone. I would never order any Japanese from this place ever again but i may continue to order their chinese lunch specials. idk…we’ll see. I was just so shockingly let down wit the sushi that im not sure I’d be willing to order from here again. The one star rating is solely bc i honestly did enjoy the shrimp rice and thai tea.

I used to be a huge fan and a regular customer of Bay House but they have really gone down hill this year. I think finally given up on my hopes that their food would go back to the quality it once was. My last order was completely wrong and took over an hour and half to arrive at my house. The pad Thai was cold with barely any sauce. It tasted like plain noodles. The chicken was very rubbery. I also ordered the three roll maki combo. Oddly my sushi was warm, the last thing you want with raw fish. To make matters worse it wasn’t even the right rolls. The entire order had to go straight into the trash. When I called to complain they did refund my order but sadly I will no longer be a customer. I can forgive one bad order but I’ve consistently noticed a decline in the quality and service at this restaurant. I do not recommend!

Best sushi in Staten Island. Bay house on Bay street has fresh sushi at a reasonable price. Their selection of rolls is great and the chicken fried rice is amazing! The pad thai is also very good. I highly suggest this place for sushi, I have only done delivery but make sure you call Bay House on Bay street and not Hylan!

I don’t want to get my hopes high! This is the second time I have ordered sushi from Bay House Bistro. The Sweet Heart Roll I really loved it. I have also tried a couple of other Sushi Chef’s Special Roll and they all seem to have lots of flavor and well balanced. I have not eaten anything else. If it was not for the discount, I would say it is a little pricey.

Well… Prices are much more expensive, than on photo in Unilocal.Rolls are not tasty at all, and Kany salad was awful. Micro portion of real salad placed on whole bunch of lettuce(and I paid for it 5.50 $). I will not go there anymore.

Always a pleasure to eat here. We usually come here for the Thai food and the pad Thai was always delish! Their cheese wontons is a must for the appetizer! The curry dishes are pretty good also! The service is fast and staff are friendly! Fresh and not over priced! Clean. Never crowded.

Been eating here for a few years now and I absolutely love this place. I tend to mostly order sushi as it’s the only place on the Island that I’ve found that can do a decent job of it. I tend to stick to simple nigiri and sashimi, but they also offer a long list of specialty rolls that are quite nice. Occasionally I will try something off the Chinese or Vietnamese menu and I’ve always enjoyed what I got. Service is a bit hit or miss. I get the impression that they do most of their business with take-out and delivery, so depending on how busy they are with that tends to determine how fast you get serves. Sometimes you’re going to be the only one in a restaurant that is coping with 50 customers. Oh well. Staff is very friendly and we have come to know quite a few of them. Occasionally language is a barrier but a smile and some patience(from both parties) always gets you through. I feel that this is a solid local business run by good people that is worth supporting.

The food is good but service for sit down not so great. I went with my son and daughter. Now my daughter 7 months thank god was sleeping the whole time which made it pleasant for my 5yearold and I. We order our drinks and waited about 10mins for our drinks. We didn’t wait too long for our food. We ordered veggie spring rolls and dumplings. Salmon teriyaki bento box. Sweet potato, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, chicken & shrimp tempura rolls. My son said at the end of dinner everything was good! We waited about alil over 15 min for the check after he took our plates. So, that frustrated me a bit. But it seems like they are very busy. Seen a lot of pick ups and delivery orders. …next time I would order delivery only issue is they put the sushi with the hot food which can be dangerous. I once got my sushi and it was warm from the hot food.

The sushi was decent but by no means did it seem like truly authentic Japanese fare. Nor should you expect it to be, since it’s a fusion of Thai, Japanese, Malaysian, Vietnamese(and the list goes on and on!) Their calamari tempura rolls were good enough to order a second time, so that’s a plus. My main issue, though, was the service. For being only one of two tables eating at the time, the service moved at such a glacial pace.

They have awesome food no matter if you go with Thai, sushi, or Chinese. Everything I’ve gotten from them was fresh and well prepared.

I LOVE Bay House. I have been going there since they opened years ago and have always had a great experience there. Alex, the owner(I think), is super friendly and the food is always excellent. Even my friend who says she’s super picky about sushi said the sushi was good. I love the Thai fried rice, the vietnamese fried calamari and the sesame hot oil wontons, but I’ve tried about 75% of the menu and been happy with everything. The wonton soup is also especially good. The wontons are delicate and not overly doughy like your typical Chinese restaurant fare.
