Excellent. We ordered sesame beef, beef and fried tofu, garlic chicken, spare ribs, peanut chicken, dumplings and some other small items. Amazing as always, I think it’s one of the best places to order from. Food is better than places with double the price and they deliver pretty quick. Always good service and food, and we will continue to order from them.

This could be the best Chinese food on SI. And I judge that on every account aside from the fact that it’s a take-out place with 3 tables. Chen’s is the Arden Heights shopping center in a location that’s been home to a Chinese Food spot for decades. Even still, the fact that it’s hidden means that it gets terrible exposure. You might not know about this place even if you live in the area. To get right to it, they are always friendly and there is always self serve tea which is really nice. They also make the best wonton soup around. I actually think that it’s the best i’ve ever had. Nobody really comes close. The house special fried rice and lo-mein are also very delicious. Never oily, and the fried rice is brown and flavorful like it should be. They also use good white meat chicken and nice, fat shrimps. I also recently ordered the mei-fun for my picky gf. She loved it. They cooked the rice noodles perfectly. Lastly, the prices are great when compared to other places in the area. If you’re not sure where to find this hidden gem, it’s a few stores down from the old Clubhouse bar(now called Ten-Four). 5*s based on food quality alone. My only advice, guys, is to lose the styrofoam plates.

This place isn’t bad but I probably would not come back. The prices are right but something about the food just doesnt hit the spot. Crab ragoon is a pass, mostly creamcheese which was very sweet. Not a sit down type of plate, good parking.

They have a friendly staff and the food is the best Chinese food take out in Staten Island. The wonton soup there is absolutely the best! I always order the chicken teriyaki because it’s delicious!

Chen’s Garden. Excellent Chinese food. I haven’t order anything off the menu that wasn’t scrumptious. Their menu is large and had all the favorites cooked to perfection with an amazing flavor. Some favorites Steamed Chicken Mix Vegetables Garlic Sauce on side, Four Seasons, Beef and Spinach Soup. Let’s not forget the wonton soup great!!! The phone is always ringing means they must be doing something right. Only negative is that chef gardens location the strip mall location is under renovation and the business sign isn’t up other then a paper one in the window. A+ otherwise. I will be a continuing customer.

Decent take out place on the island. My family has ordered from there for a while and are generally satisfied with the food quality. Like rich b said they do tend to botch the orders occasionally.

This place is going down hill fast. It has a B rating and I won’t be surprised if it get’s a C rating quickly. I’ll tell you how disgusting and non customer oriented this place is. I ordered a broccoli with garlic sauce and as they were packing it the girl behind the counter dropped it on the floor. and the plastic cracked underneath the container and she picked it up off the floor and continued to pack it. I asked her, if it cracked and she said no. I got home and opened the container to find the contents falling out of the hole on the bottom. I knew she saw the hole but proceeded to give it to me in that inedible condition… Disgusting. I will never trust them again. All she had to do was to make another one for me. Never again!!!

My favorite Chinese take-out restaurant. They have the best wonton soup ever. Everything tastes fresh and they seem to use a lot less oil compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Seriously, try the wonton soup.

When I used to live in Staten Island, this was our go-to Chinese place(and still is for mt parents and brother). Our store used to be right next to this restaurant, so we’d order here every Saturday when my brother and I had to come to help out at the store. We’ve ordered probably every item on the menu at least once. The food here is pretty darn good. Their fried chicken wings are the best I’ve ever had. The people are super friendly and they’re like family to us. The location is pretty tiny/cramped with limited seating, but pretty much everyone takes their food to go or gets it delivered. The portions are always generous and everything is made to order. I’d definitely recommend this place for take-out(:

I never really thought to go into this place since it’s on the other side of the island from me, but now that I’ve tasted their food, I have to say I’ll be going over there a lot more! I didn’t really order anything complex, just the pork fried rice and an order of wonton soup. What I had, however, was excellent. Everything was very well cooked, and they didn’t skimp out on the meat in the wontons like most other Chinese restaurants. The rice was not dry at all and it was extremely flavorful. The service in the place was prompt, and the people behind the counter were very friendly. The place seemed much cleaner than most Chinese restaurants on the island. I’ll definitely be going back here the next time I’m in the area!
