Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I have been an enterprise customer on and off for many years. Currently in the last couple of years I have been renting vehicles mostly on a weekly basis from this branch. I am a Platinum rewards member. I have always had good customer service at this branch, until recently. I probably wouldn’t write this but enterprise keeps sending me emails to write a review. Since the old Branch manger left, Steve, this branch has gone down in customer service. The people are rude, they are very petty, and need to be trained in customer service. The new manager Cleveland is rude, confrontational and lacks customer service skills. He is not alone. This also goes to Christina and Toni the rental agents. On top of that I have seen this branch go from a well run proactive customer-​centric branch to a mismanaged branch. Wait times to be picked up have increased dramatically and drop off times when returning the rental have increased dramatically. There is actually nothing good I have to say about this branch. I was a long time loyal customer and enjoyed the Enterprise experience. Currently I rent from Hertz. Would I return to this branch? Well… let’s just say, I’ll wait until new management and new rental agents with better customer service skills are hired. I have read the other reviews here and I have experienced everything they have. It’s not an isolated experience.

I had a recent unpleasant experience with this location. The staff is not welcoming, the wait time to pick up and drop off the rental was longer then necessary. There was a line for pick up while workers sat idle at their desk. I’ve had better experiences in the past under different management and staff. This branch needs to have their staff and management retrained. My Bill was different from my reservation before any taxes were aplied, and I didn’t get a fuel credit for bring the car back with more fuel than when I checked it out.

I had an excellent experience here. They work with you to truly find you the best car for the best price. Staff were friendly and helpful. The car was clean and ran like a dream.

I absolutely do not recommend this Enterprise location. The manager has very poor customer service skills. They offer a ride to the shop from the body shop, but they won’t be there at the time you scheduled. I waited about 15 minutes the called and spoke to the manager who was very unprofessional. The first vehicle they tried rent me had a broken radio. The radio had one volume-​loud. The next vehicle they tried to rent me stunk of marijuana. I could smell it from across the lot yet the manager still told me to rent it. I went back the next day because I wasn’t willing to take a vehicle that stunk or had a radio that blasted. They next day they rented me a dirty vehicle, but it served its purpose for the week. I would stear clear of this place! It’s a huge hassle when being involved in an accident is stressful enough.

I have used this location for a number of rentals. The most recent experience was excellent — crisp, efficient execution of the rental. I’ve only had one bad experience at this location and even that was not so terrible — an extended delay in getting a car that wasn’t clean. This location is generally very efficient and very professional.

I had a very negative experience at the Enterprise Rental at 1852 Richmond Terrace in Staten Island. I returned the rental car here I needed for a week while my new car was being repaired by Richmond View Collision at 2391 Forest Avenue. I am going to write to Geico corporate and Enterprise corporate regarding the poor and rude customer service. The manager Mr. Cleveland Greene kept me waiting for a ride back to the collision place. When I stated I would call a car service if it was going to be much longer he said «well if that’s what you want to do». Then he said they were going to drop another customer off before me and if I wanted to call the car service or not? He continued to challenge me going back-​and-​forth about this issue. I subsequently was subjected to a not so scenic TOUR of Staten Island until they finally dropped me off at the collision place. The Enterprise driver who dropped me off at the collision place never even had the courtesy to open the door for me either. As if it’s not stressful enough they have to add insult to injury by treating people as if they are a charity doing you a favor. The funny thing was some young woman by the name of Nicole called to see if I was satisfied with the service and I informed her I was quite dissatisfied then she went on some explain how busy they were.
I switched and used HERTZ whom treated me like a customer and not an inconvenience. Enterprise can take a few pointers from Hertz regarding decorum. I will never rent a car from Enterprise again.

Went to this rental company after my car dealership sent me there to get a loaner car. After returning the vehicle 2 days later. All went ok until 2 weeks later i recieved a charge for 87 dollars on my credit card. Spoke to manger who stated that dealership didnt pay so we just charged your car. He told me its my problem not his. Ill never use enterprise again and i recommended no one else does.

Horrible service go to drive off in the car breaks almost fall apart As I am explaining to the rest another guy pulls in with similar problems then they have no available cars so they give you a downgrade for the same price so the way it works is if they are busy and have business they don’t give a s*** about you but if they’re slow then they want to work all kinds of deals with you

Needed a car for the day. Prompt pick up. Courteous staff and clean vehicle. Will definitely rent here again.

Car was a bit dirty, but not too bad. Good service other than too much pressure to take optional insurance. After dropping off car They offered to drop me off where I needed to go. Pickup and drop off was easy. Overall i’d say good. A 7 out of 10

Terrible customer service and the first car was filthy and smelled like smoke so I exchanged it. I have rented from Enterprise in other locations and always been impressed with their customer service — not here. I was treated rudely and even though it was my fault I forgot my ezpass in my first vehicle they gave me the wrong one when I came back (put the wrong one aside for me) and then when I called to tell them they said they knew it and had mine and would put it in the side with my name on it. When I came back again Louis basically told me it’s not their problem they have a whole drawer of ezpasses and didn’t know which one mine is. When I was surprised and told him this is really inconvenient he said it’s not his job to find and return things people leave and they have a 95% customer satisfaction rating. Not with this customer. Stay away — there are plenty of places who appreciate a 2+week rental while a car is being repaired.

Everyone there was very helpful! Service was quick and painless! BUT, the car reeked if cigarettes (REALLY BAD) and the other thing I was disappointed with was there isn’t a drop off area after hours. That was an inconvenience for me. For this reason I will look for another lot so I can drop off the car late the night before (dont mind paying for another day), instead of the next morning.

I’ve rented here a few times and they have always been very helpful and friendly.
Upgraded me for free for a nicer car and communicated well with my insurance company, despite the resistance of the insurance company.
I highly recommend :)

Nice and quick experience. They are fast paced and friendly. I know when I need a car. I just want the car and leave. And they are fast service. Which I loved! I’ll rent again when needed for them for sure!

Can I give it 3−½? The people and the service here were good.
My only complaint is that the car STUNK of cigarettes. I had to drive with the windows open all week.

I’ve travelled all over the country and these guys are the best, quickest and most fun group ever. Every rental was effortless and they go beyond to please their customers. Timothy, Jason, Gerard and the whole crew… Top notch… Keep up the good work it’s always a pleasure.

I’ve rented cars from this location several times since my original review in July and have not had a repeated bad experience. The manager and his employees are helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. I requested a compact car with Sirius radio and the employee took the extra time to move cars around so he could rent me a car with satellite radio. All cars have been clean and smoke-​free.

I was shocked at the prior review. The staff here are beyond courteous. I work in the neighborhood and they picked me up an dropped me off from my office. They gave me a brand new chevy suv that was a perfect ride upstate for labor day weekend. My friend and I enjoyed touring the Hudson Valley. I have been using that specific location on several occasions and they always go above and beyond… whether its an upgrade or a good price. Aaron Dickens
