Fresh Tortillas & Taco

Large portions, cheap prices, free soda with certain entrees, loved the steak chimichangas — they were HUGE. Delivery took a little long but in their defense they did say they were very busy. Would definitely order from them again.

Got a delivery and had none of the problems described in other reviews. Food came quick, was cheap and was good. Ola! to Chinese Mexican food.

Wow, I was thinking about ordering from this place but after reading all these scathing reviews I think I’ll save myself some grief and go with burrito bar. (Can’t go wrong there) I love Unilocal

I am Chinese, so when I speak to someone who has a heavy Chinese accent, I generally understand what they are saying. With that being said… OMG this place is ridiculous. After I spent a good 5 minutes trying to spell out my 3 letter street address, the guy on the phone apparently got frustrated and gave the phone to some lady. She FINALLY got the address correct and said they didn’t deliver to my house. Now let’s think about this… how did your menu magically appear at my doorstep one day? When I asked her why they left their menu at my house she said they didn’t put it there. When I told her my neighbors have the same menu she started screaming, «we no deliver to you ok, ok. We no deliver to you.» and hung up. Needless to say, I can’t even review their food because they have the WORST SERVICE EVER! She’s so lucky my Chinese sucks because I would have sooooooo cursed her out. I get hangry (hungry angry)!

This is terrible Mexican food. Don’t waste your time or money. They start with low quality chicken, beans, etc. the end result is food you can’t eat and if you do you’ll regret it as soon as you’re done.

Chinese people making mexican food, ok whatever. but they’re super nachos is so awesome, nachos with quadrants of chicken, beans, tomatoes, sour cream. if ur looking for a step up from fast food this is ur place. listen, its not some fine dining restaurant, it is what it is and as far as fast and fresh mexican, this is a good time, .its no mezcals but it is good fast mex. it gets 1 star for being trashy and fast food-​y but 5stars for awesome fast good mex food

Bad service liars, do not patronize «Fresh Tortillas & Taco»!
I recently moved to Staten Island and received a menu for this restaurant and it says «Grand Opening». I thought this was a new establishment.
A couple weeks ago was my first time ordering and it took well over an hour to get to my house.
A few nights ago I ordered again it 2 hours for my food to arrive. I called to complain and a woman with a heavy Chinese accents said that it would be there soon and she would give a free soda for the delay. The delivery guy said that his car had broken down.
By the time the food got to my house we were so hungry we just paid without thinking ripped open the packaging to discover that we had received the wrong order and it was way more expensive than the dish that we had wanted in the first place.
I called the restaurant to complain once again and she said that the next time we order she will give us a discount. So, the following day we called back to receive our discount and the woman refused to give us any sort of discount and just kept screaming over the telephone «I give you free soda!!!», and hung up.

Ok, so. I don’t really understand this place, but then again, the people who work there understand NOTHING. They are chinese people, making mexican food. This baffles me.
And, the chinese people who pick up the phone when you call to order should take some engrish lessons from thier friendly neighborhood chinese food guys, cause they speak better engrish than these guys.
Also, the dude who comes to deriver your food, will be riding a vespa while smoking cigarettes profusely. He will take longer to deriver your food so he can finish his cigarettes.
However, the food is great for takeout style mexican food. I would order thier chimichangas every damn day if it weren’t for the smoking, vespa-​riding chinaman who takes an hour to deliver them.
But, if you want really good, really cheap food, order from here, and then go pick it up yourself. Trust me, you’ll get it much faster.
